Family-friendly vacation rentals in Riviera Maya

My two retired adult children and I had a very pleasant stay. The room was comfortable and clean and well-provided with a good view of the beach. Email communications from the managers prior to our visit and during were clear and helpful and welcoming. The only downside for us is that our larger family who were gathered for a wedding were housed at other locations nearby, and because of the restriction preventing us from hosting persons not staying in our building it was difficult for us to connect with family. The convenience store across the street was convenient. And the small cantina/restaurant directly across the street worked very well for breakfasts, lunches/dinners, and drinks.

We loved the layout, the condo is very private. We enjoyed the fresh air when we opened up all the windows and sliding doors, the breeze coming through screens. We spent a lot of time reading/napping on the roof top terrace, lovely breeze. We so enjoyed the pool, almost every day we spent time there. Everyone is so friendly. I was very pleased with this condo and hope to return soon!

Great location! Lots of bars and restaurante around the area. Place looks exactly like the pictures, on top of that, the host was amazing! Very respectful, communicative and provided us with lots of recommendations when asked

Can’t thank Blanca and Ola enough for allowing us to stay at their home. It is a beautiful location and is exactly as it is shown in the listing. The views and the pool are incredible. They lined up the transportation and ferry ride to get there from the airport. That took so much worry about the travel day away. The other concern was how to get around. They helped with renting a golf cart which we recommend for a few days. Taxis were always available right outside the condo. Look forward to our next trip there.

Robin’s place was perfect for our multi-generation family holiday. The simple studio apartment on the ground floor was perfect for me and my little kids, and the more luxurious apartment upstairs was very comfortable for grandparents and aunt&uncle! The pool and backyard were tidied daily (the pool was so refreshing and a big hit with the kids), and the beach was just a quick walk over the road. We were perfectly situated for a relaxing and peaceful family trip. Robin organized a van and driver to drive us to and from the airport, and a chef took cook dinners for us — which was such a treat! Robin was super responsive and friendly and always very quick to reply. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to others!

We loved our stay at Rachel's Beautiful Condo! As the pictures shows, her space is wonderful in so many ways! It is beautifully decorated, clean, spacious and comfortable, and she is a kind, responsive and fantastic host! We would not hesitate to stay here again. The pool at the Elements is fantastic, the food at the ocean grill is great and so convenient, there is an awesome yoga center just across the street, and the ocean views are great. We really enjoyed our stay there - 5 stars!!!

This airbnb was great! It was everything that was described. The two spacious room and lots of living space . We were two guys so we are pretty simple. The pool and jacuzzi were great for us so much it actually became a highlight for our trip we didn't expect. The location is very much inteintegrated with the neighborhood so if you are not a city person this may not be for you. It was close to everything we needed a great taco and consume spot along with the grocery store next to it. The bus was right there to take us to the hotel zone and back. It had restaurants close by that were open late till 2am. We felt safe even late night- again we are use to city living and still keep aware of surroundings. The best part was the communication from our host cause she was proctive and responsive. I was admittedly skeptical at first of the location, surroundindings , things to do , but she made it very approachable in every aspect. If I decide to go to Cancun most likely return to her. awesome!

Angel’s place is great if you want somewhere close to beaches without the fuss or price of an all inclusive. I stayed there with several friends and it was great to have a kitchen and living areas where we could all hangout instead of separate hotel rooms. We could comfortably walk to several beaches or catch the bus just outside the neighborhood. We felt very safe the whole time as well. The only potential drawback is none of the appliances are fancy or state of the art but that’s not what we were looking for. Angel made our stay very comfortable and provided many resources from booking tours to finding reliable transportation. He was very kind and always responded quickly. He went above and beyond to help us out and made us feel very welcome in Cancun.

My second week staying here, Jorge & his mom are the BEST hosts!!! Never any issue with communication (very fast!), always willing to answer questions. This place is GORGEOUS!!! If you are not familiar with this type of area, it will look like your renting a concrete box - do NOT let the exterior fool you! Behind those walls are beautiful landscapes, very quiet, very private and super safe! It's very safe to walk, very peaceful, you have conveniences nearby (Sam's club, Walmart, grocery, convenience market, restaurants, pharmacy, etc.). The place is as pictured, so much space inside and outside! We did not want to leave this beautiful paradise! Our taxi driver commented when pulling up, this is a very expensive and very nice neighborhood! Don't wait, book this place , you'll be glad you did!

Carolina’s place was the perfect combination of having everything we wanted in a place to stay and being close to downtown Cozumel when we wanted see the sights. There was more than enough space for the two of us, from the spacious master bedroom with an amazing view, to the fully stocked kitchen and sitting area. We were outside more than in, either soaking up the sun, relaxing in the pool, or taking the ladder down fight into the ocean. We had planned to take snorkel tours during our visit, but the underwater life right in front of Casa Rojas was varied and spectacular. We had rented a car to take in all the island’s sights, but we were also able to comfortably walk into Centro Cozumel from the house. Carolina was communicative from the day we booked and throughout our stay. Needless to say, Carolina and Casa Rojas made our first visit to Cozumel everything we could have hoped for!

Great home in a nice area of cancun. many shops within walking distance, and a short drive or Uber to the hotel district and beaches. we stayed in two houses on the street for a family reunion and we loved our time there.

Stephanie’s casita was a great spot for the night before our flight out of CUN. She met us upon arrival, and took the time to walk us thru the property (including a tour of their beautiful gardens). Bed was comfy, and unit itself was cute and well maintained. We were able to find a nice restaurant and a bakery with the host’s direction. Great little family (met Stephanie’s mom) run property. Uber from this location to catch our flight was ~ $7 USD/10 minute drive.

This airbnb has everything you need, great pool, rooms, a/c, very cute place. Would stay again

My 7yo daughter and I loved our stay at Casa Susie. At first, I was skeptical my daughter would love staying a little bit further from the main touristic area, but right on the first day , she loved the place and the area where Casa Susie is located (and so did I). It was a little bit noisy the first night/ morning(dogs, cars, horns) but we get used to it so easily that we forget about it. It's so fun to discover the streets around and the locals living in the district. we would definitly go back! The manager responds quickly to questions and makes herself available if needed. Super service!

Absolutely phenomenal home. Will definitely be my go to next time we come to Tulum. Mirko is very responsible and responsive. One of the first Airbnb in Tulum with tons of very well deserved reviews. Lots of construction going on but honestly that is all over Tulum. Don’t hesitate just book it. Walk to restaurants and bank and town. Taxi to beach and cenotes or watering holes. They have a taxi that works with the house and he is well priced. Comes for you and picks you up pretty much 24 hours as far as we could tell. An amazing experience. Thank you.

Nothing like arriving at some place and feeling that it was prepared to receive and welcome you warmly. That is how we felt when we get to the Kaan 204. The property is well maintained and Saúl, the concierge made everything to make our stay comfortable and pleasant. Tha staff at Quadra Aléa is kind, professional and extremely efficient. You can notice it by how well taken care of the common areas are (gardens, pools, gym, outdoors terraces), perfect! The condo is at walking distance from basically anything you might need during your stay. We definitely would look forward to staying at any unit managed by Matt.

Daniel is a great host, very honest and generous in his communication. The place is a perfect little hideout for a solo traveler or a couple, with great A/C, a reasonably comfortable bed, a stocked kitchen, and newer appliances. If you're diving with one of the operators at Marina Fonatur (like Dive with Martin or Tres Pelicanos, both of whom I've worked with and are great) this place is ideal...1 mile to the South, easy to get back-and-forth (you'll need a car--which you can rent from Daniel if you like--or a scooter or something). Anyways, can't say enough about how easy Daniel was to work with. Will definitely return!!

Sergio’s place in Puerto Aventuras was exquisite. The cleanliness and linens were top notch. His housekeeping team is phenomenal. I felt like I was in a 5 star hotel. The neighborhood is gorgeous and immaculate. The view from the windows was heaven. He had all the amenities for cooking in the kitchen. This is clearly a new build and no expense was spared. It looks better than the photos. I’m really sensitive to scents and the home has a really beautiful natural fragrance. (I think from the walnut doors which are stunning) I believe this host takes his business seriously because every aspect was clearly thought out.

Beautiful views to both the beach & Nichupté (lagoon). The place is 10 mins away from the airport(15 with some traffic). The restaurant downstairs offers great food selection; the minimal right by the guard Shack has the essentials and if anything else is needed, there is an Oxxo within a 2 mins. walk. The place is small but perfect of a family of 4, the beds are very comfortable and the best part of this place is going to sleep to the sound/breeze of the ocean. I would definitely book this place whenever I plan to come back to Cancun!

Our five-adults Jan 2025 family vacation was enjoyed by all! The 3 br villa has comfy beds, great sheets and towels, tons of beach towels, kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. House is beautifully appointed w Mexican decor, lovely stained glass windows, plenty of seating, including loungers and table/chairs for 2nd floor patio. We bought charcoal and grilled twice on the Weber kettle. Pool cleaned every morning and is 6 steps from the screen door, and gardens are lovely with plenty of seating in sun or shade. Sunsets on the beach and snorkeling right in front were perfect. Daily maid service 5-star! We had an issue when the fridge/freezer malfunctioned, and onsite maintenance came within moments, and then onsite manager bought a replacement which was delivered within 24 hours! Amazing service!! We couldn't ask for a better experience with the staff. Plenty of parking, and there is a gate. We always felt safe and comfy. Do not hesitate to book!
