Guesthouse vacation rentals in Puerto Morelos

Raul's place is in a quiet, safe area of the island. We did have some difficulty finding it, but remember to watch for the white "Country Club Estates" sign. The unit was perfect for my me, my husband and grown daughter. The ensuite bedrooms are on either side of the main living space. There is ample storage to unpack easily. The showers are amazing! The beach is a quick walk and much quieter than if you were at a hotel. Raul provides camp chairs and an umbrella, on the hottest days we set our chairs in the edge of the ocean to stay cool. The kitchen has everything needed for basic meals - we cooked breakfast each morning to save money. The outdoor table was great for morning coffee or evenings with a margarita and a book! We spent a couple days at Playa Azul beach club - great lunches. We prefer rentals to hotels and this one checked all of the boxes - good value, clean, safe, welcoming/helpful staff, beach, quiet for sleeping, and everything well-kept and in working order. Very well hosted by Joanne and Angel, lots of attention and kindness to ensure that our stay goes smoothly. Joanne allowed us to change the dates of our resa, she did everything she could to respond to our requests. Very welcoming and warm hosts who allowed us to experience our first moments in Mexico in the best way. Eduardo has a great little place off the beaten path and out of the touristy zone of Playa. I don't drink or party so being outside of the touristy area was nice. The place is really beautiful and clean and the natural elements of the courtyard are beautiful as is the terrace. The location is a bit of a walk to downtown Playa but very close to some great beaches and every Sunday you can catch the huge street market if you walk 25th Ave down past Calle 60. It has anything and everything you could imagine and better prices than anything on the tourist strip and lots of local food vendors as well.

We had an amazing stay! Gabo was always very attentive to us, he gave us our privacy and was aware of anything we needed. The house is super comfortable, it has very good spaces and a great location, it is located within a very nice subdivision close to places to eat, it totally matches the photos. The rooms and bathrooms are very tidy, clean and with beautiful decoration. The pool is spacious and clean. An excellent place to enjoy as a family.

If you are arriving at night use a flashlight! The address is only the street number/cross street, and house photo. All photos are accurate. As a solo female remote worker I felt very safe, even when walking back from dinner at night. 10 mins walk to the main 5Th Avenue area. Great restaurant at the end of the street called Bajo. The WiFi was solid. If arriving by ADO bus, take a taxi. It’s hard to roll a bag here in the heat and uneven sidewalks/roads. A/C & fan strong. Lots of natural light. Laundry and convenience stores 2 minutes walk. This is a multi unit AirBnb who knows you may meet new friends. Everything in the apartment was spotless. Tere & Isabel were excellent hostess especially in communication. Use inDrive app for taxis. Playa 72 is a local beach a few minutes away on foot. Partial kitchen with a portable cooktop, no microwave, full size fridge, and coffee maker. This is a hidden gem, 10 minutes walk to restaurants, live music, shopping and clubs. Thank you!

It’s simple and cozy. The bathroom was clean and so was the kitchen. There was no TV and I understand why: you want to explore the area and the town. But it’s nice to have as a backup if it is raining for three days as it was in my case. Or late in the evening when one has explored and walked around the city, having wined and dined, it’s nice to come home and relax with Netflix etc. before going to bed and not have to watch your shows on your phone. The garden is very nice with multiple trees and plants. The steel gate gives one a good sense of security. Everything is pretty close, about a five minute walk to the center of town. Overall it was a good value for the high season.

We stay at a lot of Airbnb’s and very few of them stand out as Hacienda Xcaret. The owners father lives onsite and was incredibly gracious and kind, always responsive to our many questions and even offered to grab us supplies when he ran to town for himself. There are very limited options for dining nearby so prepare to purchase groceries so you don’t find yourself a hangry mama on Sunday morning when you realize the only breakfast spot nearby is closed! We wouldhave been in quite a bind but Skip offered to allow me to raid his fridge and the eggs and bacon he provided saved this mamas day! It is quite far from pretty much everything, but that was exactly what we wanted. Walking distance to the park that we attended was a huge plus. The grounds are absolutely incredible and you can see the love and care that has been put into their design. I do wish we had decided to rent a car to be able to explore more of the area, but we were perfectly happy to spend our time enjoying the property.
