The breakfast in the morning was amazing, homemade food. The set up the breakfast table every morning and were so quick and quiet you didn't even know they were there. The farm is very relaxing and beautiful surroundings. We thoroughly enjoyed being unplugged for the weekend.

If a peaceful, sleepy, serene example of what living in a small town is really like, then this is the perfect place for you! This absolutely beautiful and well preserved farmhouse, which dates back to the 1890’s was clearly restored by people who obviously love this house and a way of life that has become very difficult to experience for most folks today. The grounds are picturesque and the livestock on the grounds, only add to the genuine appeal of the overall property. Karen is a very kind, generous, and responsive hostess which only serves to make a stay here more comfortable. The dining area is spacious and well lit. The finer details of this house have been preserved in working order as well. Check out is just as easy as checking in as a side note. To be certain, I have never stayed in any other Air B&B, that I would have been proud to call my own. I have nothing but praise for Karen and the job they did in making it possible for folks to experience this area, and Lee County VA!

Our second visit to Nancy’s place. It’s so peaceful and relaxing. Just the escape we were looking for. The home is beautiful and we love the small farm with our friends…the cats, dog, goats and horses! Nancy and David are wonderful hosts! We look forward to our next visit!😊

We had a great stay and David and his wife were so accommodating. My kids loved feeding the baby goat, chasing the chickens, and petting the cats and dogs. We will definitely be back!

When visiting the Hillsville area, Mark of Design is one of our top go-to’s. Very convenient location for those wanting to be in Hillsville, yet also close to Galax and the Blue Ridge Parkway area. We love watching the beautiful horses on the farm, and also the abundant wildlife, to include deer, rabbits & wild turkeys!

Ken was very responsive and answered all our questions in a timely manner. Thank you for your hospitality!

We loved our stay for the weekend! The space was perfect for us, we loved the large dining table and open kitchen. There were nice touches throughout like extra blankets, heaters and fans in the bedrooms. Highly recommend!

This is an absolutely amazing property with the greatest hosts! The property is beautiful and the perfect peaceful getaway. Bob and Angie are more than gracious hosts who made us feel welcomed right from the start. They gave us a tour of the property and introduced us to all of the animals. We are already making plans to come back!

The farm was fantastic. We needed a place to stay in a hurry and Chris's was a great find! It was close to where we needed to be and was far enough away to feel special. I would love to come back in the summer to see the animals

This place exceeded our expectations! The house was exactly as it was described and so clean! We were able to cook our own meals bc the kitchen was stocked with pots/pans/utensils. The property is absolutely stunning! We wanted somewhere we could enjoy the peace and quiet and this place is exactly that! The owner was even kind enough to come give us a tour of the barn of all the farm equipment! My Dad grew up on a farm and he and my whole family felt right at home! They were incredibly responsive in the app if we had questions. I cannot recommend this place enough and would absolutely stay here again! Thank you Harold and Brenda!

Very relaxing stay, loved the area. Enjoyed the visiting horses daily. Bardstown is just a short drive away and had everything we wanted. Beds and furniture comfortable. Definitely enjoyed our time.

This home was perfect. Well stocked and clean. Felt right at home. Host thought of everything, even having a homemade coffee cake on the counter for us. Would highly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Country's Edge II. Everything was clean, the home was spacious and had good flow, and the view was so peaceful. The Christian decor was inspirational and appreciated. Each bedroom was comfortable, and the den and dining area were homey and provided adequate seating. The outside seating around the fire pit (we didn't build a fired, but it was still great atmosphere) was a relaxing place to gather at sunset to reflect on the day's activities (Ark Encounter, Creation Museum, and 40 days of Christian Music). An additional benefit was the handy parking which allowed us to unload groceries and personal items without having to carry them a great distance. The keyless entry made checkin/checkout very easy. Josh was indeed a super host. I will recommend Country's Edge II to any friend I know who plans to visit the Ark Encounter vicinity.

Our stay was absolutely amazing. When we arrived Trish’s husband came over to give us a warm welcome. We were able to check in earlier and get our ski trip started . We hard an absolute blast. The house was beautiful as well as the surroundings . Book your next stay here . You won’t regret it! Also, the house was so clean and fixed up nice upon our arrival. We can’t wait to come back!!

My husband and I had the perfect winter getaway at Thomas’ and Katie’s cabin. The scenery was stunning and just as described with the South Fork River just a stone’s throw from the house and nestled between beautiful, forest-covered hills. It was great for wildlife watching. Beautiful stargazing too! And there were miles of trails on the property, which we took full advantage of. Tom was a very responsive and helpful host and was standing by to provide recommendations on things to do whenever we needed ideas. The place itself was clean and very cozy. We are already planning our next trip back!

Pans place was perfect. Couldn't have picked a perfect location for what we were there for. So Peaceful.

Gina was an awesome host! Answered all my questions. Had everything that you need plus extra. Home was perfect, clean, great location. We had 6 kids and 4 adults with plenty of room. Would go back in summer to enjoy more of the outside things, it was too cold and rainy this time of year. But house was perfect we had our family Christmas there. Thank you, Gina.

Originally selected the farmhouse for location & size as we were there for Regional School Wrestling Tournament. Once we arrived it was quit evident that the Farmhouse was more than that. The Farmhouse & surrounding property were beautiful. The entire house was so clean and well stocked that we felt like we special guests. The kitchen was stocked with more than most regular homes. This Farmhouse was the best stay that anyone could imagine and my family will be looking forward to another stay this fall to enjoy the surrounding area even more. If you are looking in this area for a larger gathering I would highly recommend the Farmhouse & I promise you will not be disappointed!!!!

Hampton House was perfect! Well equipped kitchen if you want to cook. She had coffee and eggs in the refrigerator for our first breakfast! Lynn has thought of every detail to make your stay enjoyable. Absolute first rate!
