Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Nicoya Peninsula

This was an eclectic little getaway and was perfect for what we needed for a one night stay in this very remote town. Had a great outdoor patio that was perfect for sitting out in the evening. A perfect day to end our transition from one town in Costa Rica to another. Highly recommend.

An excellent place to spend time as a family, the place is beautiful, just as seen in the photos, super quiet and safe, we would definitely come back! The delicious pool and we are lucky enough to see the volcano clear in the morning!

I had a wonderful stay at this charming rustic house just outside La Fortuna. It was the perfect blend of cozy and functional, with a cute, homey feel and all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The house was well-equipped with everything from a fully stocked kitchen to comfortable furnishings that made it feel like a true home away from home. The highlight was definitely the hot tub, perfectly positioned to enjoy the serene surroundings and unwind under the stars. It was the ideal spot to relax after a day of exploring. If you’re looking for a cozy, rustic getaway with all the comforts you need, this is the place to be!

We stayed at Christopher’s place for our honeymoon and absolutely loved it! We saw so many cool birds, iguanas, geckos and insects while hanging outside. It’s located in Playa Hermosa, just outside Jaco, and centrally located with so many great beaches and restaurants! It’s a very beautiful and peaceful area and nice that it’s just outside of Jaco if we wanted more restaurant options. Christopher recommended some delicious food in the area and masseuses (Askel) to come to the house for a couples massage. There was also free pizza delivery and grocery delivery. Be sure to ask Chris for local beach recommendations and things to do!

We have already visited Pinilla on several occasions. For us its location and safety is most valuable. By joy, on this occasion our stay was up to par with the house and its hosts Veronica and Mahomet.

Spencer responded within minutes when asked for dinner recommendations which were great restaurants. Steps from the beach and there were beach towels available with chairs.

Amazing place. We stayed there, working remotely and enjoying Costa Rica for a month or so. First, the host's support was out of this world. They would answer our questions and fix them within the same day. It was quite impressive. Now, the house. Great 3-stories house. Amazing pool. (beware, it's not a warm jacuzzi tho) The view of the jungle was breathtaking. Great amenities, clean house, and cleaning team for the pool and house were great. However, since this house is on top of a little hill, I am not sure we could have come to it without an SUV. Finally, the location was great. 5 mins from Villareal. 13 mins from Tamarindo. Close enough, but far enough in the jungle, we felt at peace, away from the noise and busyness of the city. Overall, I recommend it, and I will come back for sure! This place was great for remote workers, with office chairs and desks in every room.

Absolutely incredible place to stay for a honeymoon :) we were there for just over a week, and we really loved our little home base. Jan was so helpful with recommendations and even booked our reservation for Manuel Antonio with her Costa Rican debit card since we couldn't do it ourselves. With as helpful as she was, she also gave us total privacy and communicated very effectively with us. I know the person before us mentioned insect issues, but we had no complaints whatsoever and were there for an extended period of time. We were able to see hummingbirds, scarlet macaws, lizards, and other varieties of birds which made just sitting by the pool a fun experience. The shading was perfect for the pool too. You could decide if you wanted to sit in the shade or the sun depending how you feel. The AC cools down the bedroom very fast when arriving home. The private driveway is convenient too. We loved our stay so much! We would certainly consider coming back if in town!

We stayed for a month and enjoyed the location. A couple times neighbors from adjacent rentals were playing music loudly but the caretaker next door was very quick to have them reduce the volume when we asked her. The caretaker and her husband were very kind and helpful. The house felt spacious and comfortable. Overall the location was peaceful, comfortable and a pretty quick drive to Tamarindo / Playa Grande etc. The owner was communicative and accomodating. Any requests / concerns we had were handled immediately. Would recommend to others!

Ideal location, right in the heart of everything in Tamarindo, you call it restaurants, beach, supermarket, coffee shops, gym… The apartment if extremely well kept, surroundings are beautiful. Alexander and Gabriela are very friendly and helpful. Very fast internet for digital nomads. I recommend it to the Airbnb community 100 %

Casa Vida Azul is amazing! We loved the villa, backyard pool and being so close to the beach. Lovely, safe community with lots of birds and monkeys. Store on site is well stocked, security and neighbors very friendly. We loved being able to walk down to the beach for a coffee or The Rancho for a cocktail. Santa Teresa and Montezuma easy day trips. Pura vida living at its best!

We were pleased with the house, it was well equipped although it could improve. The host Gabriel was very friendly, always attentive to our needs and punctual when receiving us. Very close to commercial and tourist areas what made our stay very pleasant. I would definitely come back.

The accommodation is just as seen in the photos, David is quite communicative, flexible and also had a very nice and totally unexpected detail. The kitchen has everything you need that may be required, the garden area is perfect for spending the day or a grill night. I would definitely like to come back.

My family and I loved this place, and Rodrigo was very responsive when we had some questions. The house is in a safe neighborhood, and a five minute drive to town and the waterfall. There is also a coffee shop, minimart, and a few restaurants about a block away. I would absolutely stay here again, as the house has everything you need.

Second time staying at this place. What was new was the swimming pool, housed in its own glassed-in building. For an amateur birder, it is a lovely property to explore with binoculars. Hosts are very kind. I hope to return there at a future date.

This home was perfect for our stay with 3 adults and 3 children. The private pool was great, kitchen had everything we needed. Take the drive up to the top of the world community which is incredible and we had it to ourselves both times we went! I would definitely stay here again if I came to Costa Rica again. We went to Diamante Eco park to see all the animals- highly recommend, and ate a delicious lunch at a very unique spot called the monkey bar not far from the Airbnb or Diamante! Check it out for sure!

Our stay was very inspiring and with lot of creative energy. We stayed at two of the houses because the first one was a bit too small since we travel for months and had a lot of luggage. Both places had a lot of perfect imperfections, with the most stunning views through out the day. We saw small monkeys, giant leguans, raccoons and heard howler monkeys. We enjoyed this place a lot and we will never forget our time here. Peter was so welcoming and very communicative and helpful with everything.

Had a great stay at Villa Marfil. Gorgeous views and very nice house. It’s a drive up an unpaved road to the top of the mountain but that is to be expected for that view!

As a group of 8 adults and 2 children this place definately met our expectations. With 4 air conditioned bedrooms we were all quite comfortable, one adult slept in the upstairs loft with only fans and it was a bit warm but this was all part of the description so no fault of Eugenia's. The location is beautiful quiet and has some fun tours just a ten minute walk away. Waterfalls, a chocolate tour and a quaint little restaurant that is definately unique and very local a fantastic Costa Rica experience. A super nice surprise was that there was a provided breakfast every morning next door at the hotel with everything you could want for a breakfast and super friendly staff there to help and answer any questions as well as help provide advise and help with tours and transportation. Because we like to travel around we probably won't be returning but if we were we would not hesitate to again book with Eugenia. Thank you so much for the hospitality.

Tanyia is one of the most responsive hosts ever! Which made life so much easier when I realized I had messed up our reservations! She helped us fix them without blinking an eye. What makes this place special is the view and the grounds. The view of the lake is astounding, and there is a “toucan hour” in the evening where the trees are filled with a variety toucans and birds! Both outdoor spaces are lovely. The living room has 2 recliners, which is fine if there are only 2 of you, but not ideal for 3+. The kitchen is well stocked and clean. The upstairs apartment was perfect for an adult child traveling with us, and had an incredible view of the lake. The club house has a pool and offers breakfast and a full bar. The clubhouse is a little tired, and the hot tub wasn’t heated. The location served us well, we spent one day in Rio Celeste and one day in La Fortuna. Tanyia helped us plot routes to both to ensure we were on paved roads. Great house overall. Fab hosts!

Had such an amazing time at Roberto's place. Been to many Airbnbs around the world and this hit the top of my list. Roberto was very helpful anytime I had questions both before and during our trip. The groundskeeper Marvin was top tier! He went above and beyond for us. One recommendation is to make sure you have an 4x4 vehicle to get up to the property. This is very common for Costa Rica so don't be shocked. Take a look at Roberto's recommendations, they won't disappoint if you are looking for places to go. He also recommended our driver and in home catering services from a local restaurant who were 1000/100! Ask Roberto for details! I would definitely come back and stay at this location as Costa has my heart and I too am looking to invest here.
