Beachfront vacation rentals in Big Sur

We had such a wonderful stay! From the moment we arrived, we were wowed by the beautiful front garden. It was so peaceful and calm—like our own little slice of paradise. It really set the tone for a relaxing and happy getaway. The house itself was super charming and gave us that classic, cozy Carmel experience we were hoping for. Every little detail felt thoughtful and welcoming. Inside, everything was spotless and so well taken care of. It felt fresh, tidy, and super comfortable. And the bed—wow! Hands down, the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in. I slept like a baby every single night and woke up feeling so rested. There was a little construction going on next door, but honestly, we barely even noticed it. It was really quiet and didn’t affect our stay at all. We still felt like we had our own private, peaceful retreat. The host was so kind, easy to communicate with, and very accommodating. It made our stay feel extra smooth and stress-free. We’re already dreaming of coming back!

This place was amazing, with the beach in your backyard and easily accessible anytime. The shop next door had great clam chowder, burgers, etc. The home was spotless clean and very warming and welcoming! We’d definitely stay here again!

My family and dog stayed at Jeremy’s house for 5 days and loved every minute. The house is very spacious and airy, super well-maintained with lots of room to relax and enjoy. The front and back yards are big and perfect for a dog and kids. Everything you’d need is covered, from outdoor shower to a handy pooper scooper and toys for the dog. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, yet only 3 minutes walk to great burgers, pizza or Mexican food. And only 8 minute walk to The Hook or 38th Ave for surfing or beach. 5 minute drive or an easy bike ride to downtown Capitola. Jeremy was a fantastic host, always asking if we needed anything. Will definitely visit again!

I spend a lot of time in the area and the accomodations at this beach house were superior! Will definitely return. Very nice home.

Laura’s place was spot on for our short stay. Beach was a stones throw away, which is where the kids wanted to spend their time. The place was perfect, it was clean, spacious, and well equipped. Detailed instructions for the apartment to go alongside the stay and useful local information.

We all enjoyed Bernadine’s home for our girls weekend. The home is set up so that if you are sharing with another family or you have kiddos there is plenty of space for everyone. It great for a family or friends gathering for a weekend. Location is lovely and the views are stunning. You can walk along the bluff over looking the ocean or you can take a short drive to Fitzgerald Nature Reserve which also has stunning views. Great place for getting away and relaxing.

We enjoyed staying in David's place very much! It was short walk to the Beach Board Walk and Seabright Beach so we took our dog for a walk multiple times a day :-) Our teenagers also enjoyed getting to the Board Walk + hanging out in the roomy attic (king size bed + extended sofa). We could actually see the roller coaster from the window + hear *subtleI* Board Walk screams from the room, which we thought was cool. David and the hosts let us in the house before our check in time and was super responsive whenever we contacted. For complete transparency, people very sensitive to noise or have little kids may have a little concern since it's facing to a relatively busy streat. It is also near a rundown motel (which didn't bother us). Overall, super satisfied with the place.

We spent several nights in David’s condo, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. I had kind and timely communication with David even before our arrival, and the condo itself was just perfect. The pictures don’t do it justice, it is in a very peaceful, private area and closer to the water than expected. Breathing the ocean air and the sound of waves is so healing. I watched humpback whales breach and dolphins feeding, it was very pleasant to have pelicans flying right past as well. The sunsets were beautiful and it was such excellent viewing at any time of day with 2 deck levels to choose from. You can view the coast from Santa Cruz all the way down to Monterey! The condo is tastefully decorated and spacious, and the beds were extremely comfortable with cozy quilts and pillows. There are comfy throws for your lap and many other homey touches. The condo has so many dishes and pots and pans it’s easy to cook a meal. I can’t wait to stay there again. Thank you David!

We absolutely loved our stay at Kristina’s condo! The place was spotless, beautifully furnished, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Kristina was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout, which made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend this Airbnb – we’d definitely stay here again!

The location of the apartment is awesome. We really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and excellent view of the beach and ocean. Sleeping with the sound of the ocean waves was such a gift. Patti is lovely and kind with her communications. We did have some issues with the shower and bath sink in one of the bathrooms. We also wished we had paid attention to what was not listed in terms of provisions. For example, you’d have to bring your own coffee, teas, paper towels, and bathroom hand soaps (although napkins and bath soap bars were provided). Overall, a beautiful home at a great location with potentials for some minor improvements which I understand Patti will address in good spirit.

Wonderful place and host. The place and views was spectacular and maintained very well. Beds and amenities were very comfortable. Crystal was amazing and super helpful and went out of the way in helping us. Will most definitely repeat.

A wonderful and private location! An ideal home to relax with a cup coffee in the morning with a great view of the waves. The home was comfortable! Definitely, plan to be back. Erin was always responsive and was great in explaining all the details. Highly recommend this home!

Staying at Seascape was the perfect kid-friendly vacation. The pool was easy to access from our condo and the views were beautiful. The condo's set-up with two bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs and a half bath downstairs was great for our family of 5. The private beach was beautiful - we saw otters, whales, and my son found two perfect sand dollars walking down the beach. It was a little bit of a trek to get down to the beach with three little kids and all the beach gear, but once we were there no one wanted to leave. Several near-by restaurants were delicious, especially the newly opened Dos Pescados. It was fairly easy to get into Santa Cruz too, but we did have to time traffic or it would double the drive time (to almost 45 minutes).

The place is great! Beautiful location and great access to private beach. It’s one room as described, equipped kitchen and dining. Although it says for 4 people, 2 people have to use the sofas to sleep. Good for couple and 2 children. I would definitely recommend this place and location.

This place has easily become one of our favorites!!! My husband and I wanted a low key babymoon with our daughter. We chose Janiece's place. It was absolutely perfect. Easy to get to Monterey and Carmel where we wanted to explore. But we also wanted to be away from the hustle and bustle and this place checked all of those boxes. It was a quick and beautiful walk to the beach, which was never crowded. And my daughter LOVED the pool. We did not want to leave. It was clean and easy to get to and Janiece was a very attentive host. Will definitely visit again when we can.

We were so delighted to find this place- it exceeded our expectations. Lovely to wake up listening to the ocean and such a joy to return here every day. Fantastic views of the long, sandy beach and ocean which is just right in front of the property. This is a spacious property with beautiful interiors. The kitchen is also very well- equipped. We had a spectacular visit to Coppers Nest. The house is a marvel from the second to walk the boardwalk to their stairs, and the interior is thoughtful and very well appointed. The complex is quintessential California, with unique architecture, gorgeous flora and fauna, plenty of amenities (pickleball, tennis, bball courts, bocce, etc), all with the constant and soothing pounding of waves and ocean views at every turn. Bryan and Erin were terrific hosts, making sure we had everything we needed while never feeling overwhelmed. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a Monterey Bay vacation.

This was the perfect house for our family. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds comfy. The living room on the top floor had amazing views of the ocean. Would highly recommend for a family getaway.

Team Central Coast was great and the home was exactly what we had expected! Overall, was a wonderful trip and we highly recommend staying at this home- the views were oustanding and the home had everything we needed (and then some)! My only (slight) complaint was that the required in-person check-in process was a bit stressful as we were traveling from Arizona over two days, so it was a little nerve-racking knowing someone was waiting on us to arrive by a certain time. We also encountered an unexpected storm once we hit SLO, so that slowed things down even more and made arriving on time even more stressful. The norm anymore has been no-contact check-in, so it was a little surprising to know we needed to meet with someone at check-in, but definitely not a game-changer, just a little different than what we are used to nowadays when using AirBnB.

This home was absolutely beautiful. Right on the water. Everything inside the house was clean stocked with utensils. Had some of the best sleep here. Very peaceful.

First time staying at this area and it was very peaceful. The view from our room was beautiful and exactly what we were looking for. Megan was an awesome host and would definitely come and stay again.

If you are looking for a spacious house, quiet neighborhood (stayed during the week) and a great location then this is the house for you! The views from the dining room and kitchen are spectacular. You are only a short walk from the beach and downtown area. Kate was easy to work with and responded quickly to our questions. This place was perfect for our four night stay.
