J-M's cottage was an oasis of tranquil greenery, frogs, birds, views, and peace. The cottage is charming, spotless, and has a view of the ocean and surrounding garden. The kitchen and bathroom are well appointed and the bed was luxurious. Being away from the hustle of town was lovely for us, yet access to town was extremely easy. The hosts were amazing and welcoming. Thank you for sharing this piece of paradise with us!

Very clear communication and well-written instructions/tips made for an effortless check in and stay. Honu Ohana is exactly as described in the write up. It’s also well-suited to travelers that enjoy cooking at home. The well appointed kitchen is a delight. A neighbor’s friendly cat was also a frequent visitor. We loved every moment. 💞

It was a very clean, lovely place to stay. The host was very friendly and lived upstairs, so we felt safe and secure during our stay. It was a quiet place on high ground. We were also soothed by the view of the ocean and sunsets from the window. I would love to stay here again when I come back to the Big Island!

The two most important things for me in a vacation rental are cleanliness and a comfortable bed. This rental was spotless and the bed very comfortable. The unit is spacious and nicely appointed. The location is great - very convenient for getting to the stores, restaurants, sights and beautiful beaches in and around Kona. The cherry on top was how great the communication was with the hosts. When we had a couple of special circumstances, they were quick to reply and gracious in accommodating them. I would stay here again without hesitation!

Elizabeth and her husband is everything you’d want in a host. Very welcoming and lovely to chat too. Really enjoyed some of the conversations we had with them. Their place was awesome, beautiful, clean, kitchen was a fun area to cook in. Bed was nice, slept great every night. They also have amenities you can use for the beach which was awesome. Saved money having to buy some of those things. They let me use their shop vac to clean the jeep as well. Thank you for that. My wife and I 100% recommended this location. If we’re ever back in Hawaii be an honor to stay there again. Mahalo

We had a wonderful stay here! Lahi had so many lovely little touches that made our stay great, from beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, etc to great internet for working remotely. The place was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. We also loved the chickens in the backyard and all of the peaceful sounds of nature. We had to work a few days of the trip and the space was perfect for two people to take meetings.

We really loved staying here. Jennifer is a wonderful host and everything was comfortable, clean and fully equipped. The ocean view from the deck is gorgeous and the surroundings are very peaceful. We slept very well. We only stayed a night on our way to stay elsewhere on the island but wish we could have stayed longer!

Perfect for getting to the airport for an early flight. Nice amenities, exactly as described, and very clean. Caleb was super helpful and accomodated an extra request. Some traffic noise, though it quieted at night and we ran the AC in fan only mode, which helped. Overall, great stay.

This was the perfect spot for my husband and I to get some rest between busy days of exploring the beautiful island! It was truly a great central location for so many things around the Kona area. James was so kind and accommodating- I would recommend this place to anyone!

Million-dollar view, large sliding doors with screens facing the ocean. Beautiful lanai with outdoor kitchen and table just steps from pool. You have 3 good size rooms, the bedroom, living room, and an entry room with table if you want to sit inside to eat or play a game. All 3 rooms have nice ceiling fans. Yes, you share the pool with owners, but we only saw Steve take a quick dip a few times in the 6 nights we stayed. Way more room and comfortable than a hotel! We really enjoyed our stay!

What an absolute blessing of a stay. A complete Gem of a place to stay AND a host. We couldn't be happier with where we were and how it felt to be there. Truly felt like home. Her kindness and generosity is unparalleled and anyone lucky enough to stay here should consider themselves blessed. 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for home away from home.

Tiffany and her family made us feel right at home. They welcomed us upon arrival and made sure we had everything we needed. Her home is beautiful and clean. The bed was so comfortable and the linens were beautiful. Tiffany even booked a manta ray dive for us with a company that was great. We truly had an amazing time, thank you Tiffany!

Darin and Katerina are incredibly friendly and it’s evident that they care about their guests and their spectacular property. A lot of thought is put into the landscaping to make the stay incredibly peaceful - you could be happy staying a full day in the garden without feeling your missing out on your vacation.

We loved staying at the mango farm and would recommend to any one who wants the authentic outdoor relaxed living feel! Very easy to find, around 40 mins drive from the airport. If you’re a light sleeper, be warned the chickens will wake you up pretty early!

Always wanted to stay in the Puako area. The lava shoreline and tide pools are turtle magnets. In one pool I saw 10 turtles. There are various public access points onto the beach, but the best one was within close proximity to the apartment. We had a peek a boo view of the ocean, but could definitely hear the surf which we love. Wendy feeds the local birds, so had parakeets, java sparrows and doves to hear and watch feed. The apartment had all essentials to prepare food and eat on the lanai. The bedroom was large, quiet location on the back side and very comfortable bed. Plenty of closet space and drawers to unpack. We loved the location which is close to Hapuna Beach, Waialea Beach, Mauna Kea Resort, Mauna Lani Resort, Waimea and the Kohala Coast. Weather was perfect during our stay. We will be back!

This was the perfect spot for my stay in Kona. Dean was quick with responses, and sent me a message to let me know that the room was ready early which was great as I arrived to the island earlier than I was originally planning. The studio had everything I needed for my stay. And the outdoor shower, while different, was really nice. I would definitely stay again, and I will be recommending his place to many friends.

We were pleasantly surprised by how nice and secluded the neighborhood was. The location is close to many restaurants and shopping centers, but still away from the congestion. The place was quiet and extremely clean. Zelda greeted us when we got there and gave us a tour.

Like all the other reviews state, this is an incredible location and set up. Paul and Paula were both great to talk to as they both gave helpful tips about the area and were both approachable and accommodating. The space has beautiful panoramic views that gave us whale watching and breath taking sunsets. The pictures don't do it justice. I've stayed at dozens of Airbnb's and this one may be the most special. If we ever find ourselves on the big island again, we will definitely prioritize staying here!

We had a wonderful stay. The property is beautiful. The fresh fruits and waking up to such an amazing view were highlights of our trip. We found it to be a very peaceful and relaxing place to come home to after our days of exploring. Not too far to some great beaches and lots of great restaurants nearby, especially if you like the more local spots outside of town. Hosts were very responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

My husband and I stayed in February of 2025. The place is very comfortable, large and very clean. We were off during the day with friends who were staying farther north so did not have an opportunity to really explore the area close to the apartment. What we saw looked cute and fun. A beach town. Our expectations were certainly met.

This is a very comfortable place, with many nice touches, such as a little double shelf where you can put small items and various gear you can use at the beach (such as towels and coolers). Having a couch made the place very relaxing, and the kitchen is well-stocked, with full oven and range and full-size refrigerator. Designated parking spot was very convenient. A short drive from many things in Kona, and not too much farther to many nice beach locations. We only scheduled ourselves there for a few days, but it would work very well for long stays.
