Vacation rentals with lake access in Sherman

We had a lovely time here as a group of 8. The house was as described, with plenty of room for us to hang out inside and outside, lots of fun decorations, and so many amenities. The neighborhood is lovely and walkable, and the short drive to town and the Hudson train station were huge perks.

Spent a wonderful week during Christmas here with my adult son whom I hadn’t seen in years. Launa went above and beyond with making the home cozy and comfortable and the Christmas decor was more than I could have imagined. Launa allowed an early check in although I had an emergency which did not allow me to check in early but she offered me the option. Launa also allowed us a late check out which was very much appreciated. The only thing I wished was that the beds were a little less firm as I found them to be too firm but that’s just my preference. Very tranquil place and many memories were made. I would love to stay again perhaps during warmer months to enjoy the lake and outdoors but all in all it’s a beautiful home.

This was 2nd visit (1st time in winter) and we had just the best tome! When the weather looked like it was going to be bad for our planned skiing day we messaged Dana to see if we could move back a day so my husband and kiddos could get their snow activities in and she responded in less than an hour saying yes! That just made our trip - our boys were able to spend the entire day skiing as planned. The house was amazing and so relaxing and enjoyable. My boys LOVE the game room and my husband and I just love relaxing in front of the fireplace (and got to watch the snow falling this time)! We’ve made this ‘our family vacation spot’ and we’re already looking forward to our next visit this summer!!

We loved Nathania's house! The views were beautiful! It was a great house to have local family over for a gathering (which was the purpose of our visit). We had some snow and ice during our stay, but Nathania and her husband were unexpectedly there, and ensured the snow and ice was dealt with the best they could. We definitely hope to rent again!

Daphne is a thoughtful and wonderful host. The property was clean, comfortable and very well appointed with everything I would need, especially in the kitchen. I highly recommend this 5-star property. It is quiet, peaceful and full of nature everywhere the eye can see.

Our family had a great stay here. My kids were obsessed with this house which from the get go just made it really fun. We felt we could really spread out and be comfortable, relax and enjoy some cozy time together. It was super clean and clutter free and just generally - professional. I always enjoy a professional host and Meadow delivers on this. They were very helpful and responsive even after check out when we were positive we left something important behind (which in the end, we did not.) They were also proactive about reaching out before checkin to make sure we could reach the house ok (we could) because conditions were extremely snowy when we arrived. They were also helpful about our concerns ahead of time that things would be plowed in time for our arrival (they were.) We felt cared for but definitely not smothered. Would love to visit again in warmer weather to enjoy all the property has to offer. It was however beautiful in the snowy winter. A real treat.

This house was absolutely perfect for a group Fall getaway in the Catskills! The kitchen and living room were perfect for spending time together and there was plenty of sleeping and bathroom space for 9 girls. The lake views from the house were perfect and cozy. Alexsa was immediately responsive the entire weekend for any questions that we had. The house was situated in what felt like a safe lakeside neighborhood but still afforded plenty of privacy. Overall 10/10 would love to come back!

Alice is a great host, and her place was absolutely what we were looking for. Beautiful views of the lake, that presented us with an exquisite sunset. The place was cozy, clean, very peaceful, and it met all of our expectations. We look forward to returning during a different time of the year.

Nice and clean. Quiet and secluded. Host responsive and actively invovled. The hot plate for cooking is very small but Everything works and room was easily warmed once we figured out the heater. Pretty expensive for how bare-bones it is, but if you are looking for a very quiet place to hole up in and work, might be worth the expense.

Beautiful & clean property right on the Hudson! Nice, calm, scenic getaway. Would definitely book again in the spring/summer for all the available activities available on the property. Thanks Janet!

We only had a short stay, but John was a great help letting us check in early - they clearly love their home and the town, offering annotated menus of local restaurants and info on many natural features to visit in the area. Delightful decor, many many plants, plenty of linens available, no shortage of room to lounge and relax. Parking was a cinch, checkout directions were clear and simple. Would stay again.

This was just what I needed for my first trip to Mohegan Lake! Quiet neighborhood. Cozy bed. Great water pressure. I’ll definitely be booking again if I come back to this cute little town.

My husband and I stayed at the Waterview over Valentine's wknd. Instructions were precise, everything looked like the pics, and even better. Unit was simply but beautifully decorated, clean, spacious and comfortable with stunning views of Lake Zoar. We had a small issue upon arrival but Kristi was super prompt with a resolve and was kind and professional. A Winter storm was in effect and she was flexible with our arrival time and exit for our safety, which meant alot. We slept like babies to the sounds of owls hoo'ing and icy rain hitting the snow covered lake, which even at night was just stunning. I woke up early to watch the snow and ice melt from the lake...it really was a magical thing to behold. I saw deer tracks and was sorry I missed them. Saw mallards and several GORGEOUS hooded merganser, as well as several different species of birds flying over. If you love nature and gorgeous spaces that feel like home, book the Waterview. We hope to revisit in warmer months. Thank u Kristi

Austin was very responsive. We had an unexpected issue with water and Austin immediately responded and sent someone to fix it as soon as possible. The location is great. Beautiful place and surroundings. We felt at home and loved how close it is to Catamount Mountain Resort. We are already planning to come back to this house next winter.

Stayed here for 12 nights and loved it all! We quickly felt right at home. Such a great area too. Both the morning and evening views were great. Sunsets definitely did not disappoint! And so many deer nearby! One evening we went for a walk and counted almost 75 !! Enjoyed the full kitchen, washer/dryer, comfy bed and great tv ! Thank you so much 😊

Ben is an terrific host and his place is a real gem. It is located on a beautiful lake and it is an easy drive from the City. We loved the entire house. It has a really nice coffee bar and a high end bathroom in the primary bedroom. It is a great place to escape the City. Thanks for a great and easy stay and look forward to staying there again in the near future!

loved this cozy cabin for a snowed in weekend. the setting is beautiful and the house is completely stocked with everything you could need for quiet time with family. we came with two small kids and it was well suited for them. hoping to come back in the summer to enjoy the lake. thanks Scott for being such a phenomenal and responsive host amid the crazy snow storm.

My husband, our two elderly parents and I stayed at Oriole Cottage with our young dog during a winter break. Cheryl had been Hannah really friendly and proactive in their communications with us, and when we arrived we found Oriole Cottage cheerful, warm, clean, and with good bedding (fluffy duvets and quite comfortable beds). The living/dining area and kitchen are bright, nice and sunny. We found the kitchen very well appointed, and we each enjoyed the different coffee-making choices available to us (French press, drip, Nespresso etc)… something to suit everyone’s taste. Bathrooms had good hot water and shower pressure (!) Overall, the cottage is a sunny, warm, comfortable and clean place to stay. We’d love to return during a summer month when we can try kayaking and all the activities of a summer lakeside stay.

We loved the view out to the lake, which was different every day and throughout the day. The open layout of the house is great to enjoy the views, and if the weather is nice, there are great sitting areas outside as well. The house is well-stocked and cozy. The hosts are friendly and always responsive. There are also great parks to visit nearby. We had a great winter weekend and would love to stay again.

our stay at ellen’s cottage was private and peaceful. the space had everything needed to feel right at home, including a super comfy mattress!

The cottage is exceptional in every way. It’s stylish, cozy, efficient, and well thought out. The hosts that rent it are the icing on the cake though! We took advantage of all the opportunities for fun; canoe, fire pit, long walks, coffee on the patio, incredible nature watching, yoga, and meditation! You’ll want to move in as soon as you see it. The views from the main window are top notch! T and Karen really made the experience memorable and were more than accommodating, friendly, and all around good humans. Thank you!!!!

I had the most amazing stay at this cabin! The interiors were absolutely gorgeous—so thoughtfully put together, and everything was spotless and perfectly organized. You could really tell a lot of love went into every detail. The hosts were incredibly kind and provided clear, detailed instructions, making everything super easy and stress-free. The setting was beautiful and so peaceful. My favorite part was sleeping in the loft under the stars! The huge windows made the space feel so open and airy, with tons of natural light during the day. It was such a dreamy and relaxing getaway, and I honestly can’t wait to come back!
