Fantastic spot to enjoy a weekend in Charlottesville. There is a place to sit outside underneath two large holly trees, and the location is right next to a wonderful winery. It was well situated to wineries in the area, grocery stores in Charlottesville (Wegmans is 5 minutes down the road), and also near Monticello-Saunders Trails (5 minutes down the road). My only complaint is some of the dishes/utensils weren't cleaned, presumably by previous renters.

Cindy is always so responsive and polite! I love the alpacas and working dogs. The place is always clean and has everything you need. 10 minute drive from downtown Farmville. Highly recommended.

David’s place was fantastic! It felt like a little house on the prairie. The house was absolutely spotless! Very quiet. My favorite thing though was without a doubt the view as you step out the front door. It was breathtaking!! The rolling blue ridge mountains and an endless field was right up our alley!! Thanks David!!!

I cannot recommend heartrock enough! I came here wanting to get away, spend some restful and relaxing time away from the hustle and bustle and this location provided plenty of the zen I was looking for. Kim and Greg are so welcoming and wanted to make sure that my partner and I were comfortable and safe during the snow storm that occurred during our stay. The property is also amazing. Beautiful, quiet, secluded, plenty of room to explore, not to mention the goats and the amazing cat bilbo. Bilbo is the friendliest cat I have ever met, wanting to cuddle up to us every chance he got! Overall, one of the best air bnb experiences I have ever had!

This place is so nice! The description is spot on and the cottage has so many personal touches. It was very peaceful and provided a great place to recharge for the next day. Everything was soooo clean and tidy. The bed was super comfortable as well. I would definitely stay here again!

We loved our stay! The place is cozy and peaceful with a beautiful view. The porch/deck was perfect for eating meals, watching the sunset, and stargazing. It was fun to look at the cows and play with the two cats on the property! Kelly was super friendly and responsive. 10/10 recommend

This stay was perfect for our needs, since we wanted somewhere close to JMU for my Ph.D program interview that was affordable and quiet. We had really nice breakfasts in the kitchen and enjoyed shopping and eating local with the recommendations from the host. Since we were staying in the winter, it was also very kind of the hosts to have salted the steps and the driveway. Finally, they had a wealth of great amenities available: amazing selection of books, a variety of snacks and coffees for every palate, quality shampoos and lotions, and comfortable blankets. One of our favorite activities was cozying up to the electric fireplace after a cold evening in the snow. Amazing work on the hosts' part to make this special!

Brad and David’s cottage made for a wonderful getaway. It’s roughly 1.5 mile walk to Yorktown (some of it is on road without sidewalks, but rarely traveled so we walked it often.) much of the walk is through the park battlefield area and was beautiful.

I was impressed by how clean and well kept the space was. I always travel with my own cleaning supplies, which were not needed this time. Host was friendly and responsive. We stayed during a snow storm and Scott cleared the driveway and walkway.

Had an amazing stay. So many amenities to choose from at the home, local to downtown, walkable area with the pup. Elizabeth went above and beyond with her communication. There was a hiccup that she took care of immediately and gave all her attention to. She was gracious, kind, and professional. Would definitely recommend staying in this beautiful home.

Bluebird is truly a vacation paradise. The perfect Serenity from the craziness of the wedding weekend. Well appointed space and kitchen. Loved our kayaking adventure day and campfire nights. Truly a relaxing atmosphere! Great host too, we felt very welcome!

This place was so cute! It was such a cute environment and although the house was small it was more than enough space!

My stay at Laura’s tiny home in Charlottesville was perfect. The moment I walked in, I was amazed by how beautifully furnished & decorated it was. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, making it a true home away from home. The home was spotless, which put me at ease. Laura provided all the appliances, utensils, dishware, & other items one could need for comfort & convenience. It was clear that a lot of care was taken to ensure guests would want for nothing. Laura & her husband were fantastic communicators & very responsive to any questions. Their dedication to providing a great experience was evident, especially when they went above & beyond by shoveling a path to my car & scraping the snow off my windshield, windows, roof, & hood. This incredible gesture was deeply appreciated. My experience at Laura’s tiny home was exceptional, & I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-equipped, & beautifully maintained place to stay in Charlottesville. 5 stars!!!

Review: This tiny house was an absolute treat! I arrived just a day before the snow hit, and the setting was absolutely beautiful. Jeremy was fantastic—super accommodating and even let me check in a little early since I was initially nervous about finding the location (which ended up being no problem at all). The spot is perfectly secluded while still being close to plenty of great breweries. The best part? It’s dog-friendly! My pup, Tank, had an absolute blast playing in the snow and running around the property. I even think I caught a glimpse of Jeremy’s dog, but I can’t say for sure! Everything was exactly as described, and despite the heavy snowfall, I never had to worry about losing power. I truly enjoyed my week here and would absolutely book again. Highly recommend!

I had an absolutely lovely time staying here and using this lovely space as a home base as I explored Cville! Very walkable to UVA and town proper!

This was our mini vacay after marriage and all we wanted was a beautiful natural area with a fire pit, and we stumbled upon a serious treasure trove. The pictures are great but once we got there it was just so much prettier than we had even expected. The outdoor area is HUGE and luxurious, even with it being winter we spent most of our time out at the fire pit chatting and looking out onto the frozen lake. We've both already decided that we'll come back during fishing/kayak season. The owners were also very nice, we woke up the second day to Josh having already cleaned out and reset the fire pit with tinder which was so incredibly nice and really helped make our trip exactly what we wanted. This place is awesome, neighborhood is super cute too. Could not recommend more

This is a sweet little cottage, perfect for a couple for a few days. It's in a nice, quiet neighborhood with easy, walkable access to the river and wooded trails. The hosts were fantastic and went out of the way to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. There are several restaurants in walking distance as well as some great thrift stores. Getting into downtown Richmond is an easy drive and overall, this turned out to be a perfect little getaway for two. The weather wasn't warm enough for us to sit outside unfortunately, but there is a sweet, friendly orange cat who will come to the covered porch and say hi to visitors. Kat and Mike provided everything necessary for a cozy and comfy stay.

We enjoyed our stay at the Freedom Cottage! Extremely clean and felt right at home. Would recommend to anyone needing to stay in the area!
