Farmstay vacation rentals in Illinois

I always love staying there because as the title states it is a place of peace which is big for me cause I have a little boy who doesn't sleep well in hotels due to noise. Plus not worrying about bringing my pets is a great thing.

Awesome place. Close enough to Garden of the Gods, and really close to Fern Clyffe State Park and Dixon Springs State Park. Our soul purpose for staying at Samsons Mountain was to be close to all of the good hiking spots, which did not disappoint. We took advantage of the rain and saw about 10 flowing waterfalls at the abovementioned state parks. The animals roaming the property were the icing in the cake. We even saw a zebra walking past our cabin one morning. You don't get that kind of stuff at Hampton Inn, which is about the same price as the cabin we stayed in.

This place serves very well as a home base for hikers visiting the Shawnee National Forest

Hosts were fantastic. Met us at check in, talked about the history and some of the decor in the space. My son and I really enjoyed hiking through the woods, and even though it was subzero outside, we were quite warm and cozy! We can’t wait to come back!

We loved our stay, it was very cozy on a chilly night. I loved the high ceilings in here, it felt very open and spacious. I’d love to do another’s girls trip here! We especially loved the fireplace and watching old movies on the dvd player.

This house was very cute! Our 10 month old loved seeing the cows across the street each morning. Loved the A-frame, eclectic in decor, and very clean.

This was a beautifully relaxing place to stay. The accommodations, amenities, and hosts were excellent! The place is nice and quiet, but it's close to Rockford, so you can do fun things, too.

Overall, our stay here was very nice. The cabin was very cozy and cute and had all the amenities suggested on the page. My friends and I all agree that we would stay here again!

This location was absolutely perfect for our book club retreat! The sunset and sunrise views from the hot tub were absolutely gorgeous. The open layout made activities and communication easy and no one felt separated. We absolutely loved the puppy visits 🥰

This is a lovely, modernized, old farm house. It was spacious enough for our family of 6. The farm life around us was enjoyable. We would definitely stay again.

What a wonderful, relaxing place to stay! Jennifer’s cabin is a wonderful respite from the chaotic world, on a beautiful knoll overlooking a river valley. The cabin is perfectly appointed, and given that we were here in winter, the gas fireplace was a welcome adornment. She was a great communicator, getting with us before we left to provide all the info we needed in a clear and helpful narrative, and had everything perfectly arranged for our arrival. All in all, nothing but good things to say about the cabin, the location, the environment, and the value for the price. I highly recommend it for anyone who’s looking to get away from the hustle and bustle for a long weekend.

This was our 2nd yr staying at Julie's place for a Christmas family gathering. We loved it. All guests loved it... It's warm, cozy & inviting. Feels like home. We had everything we needed plus some. The resident animals are a bonus. If you need anything Julie is quick to respond. It's quickly becoming a fav for our family. What a truly amazing experience! Our families came from opposite sides of the country to enjoy some amazing racing at Blackhawk Farms Raceway. We don’t get a chance to see each other that often so we wanted a place that we could gather together to relax and enjoy. We arrived from our two day journey from Montana to a beautiful evening and a wonderful sunset. Our friends from South Carolina were already there and the rest of our group followed shortly after. Once we took just a minute to see the house and walk the grounds we knew we picked the perfect spot!!!! Our first two evenings were spent enjoying the grounds, the house, the porch, the view and the beauty!! We hosted several families for dinner and the space was amazing for gathering, eating and fellowship. Tracy and Leif have made the space so user friendly and inviting that we really felt amazingly comfortable!! They have provided every detail you can imagine from s’more packages to basketballs to lots of wood for the fire ring to every local tip you could imagine!!! The combination of a lovely comfortable home and the quaint and beautiful grounds make for a truly wonderful experience. We left wanting out experience to last a few more days, so we knew it was special place. We would highly recommend this experience!!! Andy and crew

Absolutely gorgeous Victorian home in an amazing spot. Wow, it snowed while we were there so we took advantage and made some snow angels! The only thing we found as a surprise was the listing as 4 bedrooms, but one was more of an open area to go through to get to another bedroom. It was not an issue for us, I would love to stay again and highly recommend!

We had a very peaceful weekend away at Cathy and Larry's loft. We have stayed at their other place as well several months ago and it has always been peaceful and stress-free. The loft at Cathy's farm is in a private area tucked away in the perfect spot. The washer and dryer was a wonderful addition! Thank you for such a great experience!

We had the best time at Aron's place! The location was perfect for walking to the quaint and historic town of Utica and it was so close to the state parks. We appreciated the excellent communication, ease of check in, clean and beautiful space and access to nature (we also got to pet their sweet goats!). The size was perfect, cozy and offered everything we were looking for and more! Can't wait to come back again!
