What a gem of a cottage in a gem of a town! Do not hesitate to book this place if you want to be 3 minutes from town but with all the amenities to cook your own meals, do laundry and enjoy a fabulous shower. The place is spacious, well decorated, free of clutter, comfortable beds and linens. Wow. A fabulous find!! Make sure to check out Rhyme and Reason Brewery and Kai for coffee. Would happily return!

Robin and her dog Molly were welcoming us and we feel immediately at home. The interior is fantastic and nice designed, the large terrace invites you to enjoy the garden. The kitchen has all you need to cook if you want. We appreciate especially the bottle of white wine cooled in the fridge and the self made dessert Robin brought us. Couldn’t be a better start! Thank you Robin for sharing your house with us.

Even better than the photos. The unit was well-stocked, very spacious compared to other similarly priced options, and a nice walk to Queenstown along the lake path. Highly, highly recommend

Kristy’s place was great! Perfect location for us after a few nights camping. Very comfortable! When we had a flat tire she and her family were very helpful.

We were three travellers, my brother and sister in law from New Jersey and me from Sydney and we had the best time at Sue’s place. We are avid travellers and could not fault anything. Sue was super responsive; we’d love to return to Queenstown another day. Thank you, Sue.

A beautiful place to stay! The house is nestled near Lake Hayes, surrounded by nature, offering complete privacy. It has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The morning light streaming into the house is simply perfect. The entire home is spotless, modern, and well-maintained. While a car is necessary to reach the property, it's absolutely worth it. Sussie provided clear instructions, so I didn’t need to disturb her during my stay, and she also shared great recommendations for restaurants and activities. If I return to Queenstown, I would definitely stay here again!

Lovely location with beautiful lake views and good quality accommodation. Susan was very proactive in her communication and everything was well organised.

We enjoyed two weekend stays before and after tackling the Milford track. The Cabin was perfect for us – we loved the elevated location which provides really great views of the lake while central Queenstown is readily accessible. One implication is that surrounding streets are steep. The first weekend we relied on the Orbus bus service which is frequent, fast and amazing value. We also walked into town and ran a couple of Strava routes along the lake foreshore and foothills. For the second weekend we hired a car, which gave us the flexibility to visit Mora Wines for breakfast, get in a last day hike (the Moonlight track from Arthurs Point), and make several trips to conveniently collocated supermarkets on Gorge Road (FreshChoice for staples and the more upmarket Raeward Fresh for salads and BBQ fare). We made great use of the BBQ, and the laundry facilities, given our activity! As a host, Melanie was helpful and responsive, and kindly allowed us to store luggage while on the track.

A great base for your stay in Queenstown, had everything we needed, brilliant location and was very comfortable! Thanks for having us!

Beautiful, huge penthouse flat. Lots of morning sunshine & afternoon shade. Massive kitchen although we didn’t cook, 3 lovely bathrooms.

The place was very stylish and clean. Check in and out was super easy and the host was great at communicating. Only note I will add is that the granny flat is below the main house and you can hear running around above. Also, as described in the listing the only bathroom is through the main bedroom so definitely suited for a small family.

Had a wonderful stay. Quiet place with close/quick access to both Wanaka and Queenstown/Arrowtown. Definitely recommend.

Oh my goodness, this place was perfect! Such a stunning view of the Lake. Two spacious bedrooms both with their own bathrooms. We had a 2 year old and her room was quiet and we were able to make it dark (despite the 10.10pm sunset!). The kitchen had all the amenities, along with a washing machine and dryer, plus many other helpful pieces that Sophie had included (drying rack, potty, stroller, umbrellas). I felt relaxed and at home. There are 4 short flights of stairs from the car park to the room, but there is also as to avoid 3/4 of these flights. It is about a 10-15 minute walk into town (down hill) and we often caught a taxi back as the hill is quite steep (this was about $15-$25 depending on the taxi). If you weren’t pregnant, a toddler or elderly you could walk the hill without trouble. I couldn’t recommend Sophie and her place more highly! Thanks for having us.

Had a wonderful week in Fernhill exploring all Queenstown had to offer including quiet swim spots, playground with a VIEW, world class MTB tracks, forest and lakeside walks and sneaky local gems for food. We honestly wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you for a New Years to remember.
