Lake house vacation rentals in Whiskeytown

What an experience me and my family had at Robert’s place!!!. The location right on the river felt like we were on the set of a movie. The sound of the river behind us while we ate dinner, Grilled steaks, and hung out at the fire pit was just what we needed. Robert was not only an exceptional host, but he was an amazing fishing guide!! Me and my father in law caught some amazing fish including a pretty nice sized steel head. All in all a great and wonderful place to stay.

This house was amazing, one of the best Airbnb's I've stayed at. It had everything you could possibly want in a lakeside getaway. The space and layout was perfect for two families of for with young kids. Given all the amenities included, it was a great value and super easy to relax and enjoy the location. Lori was a great host too, always responsive and easy to communicate with. We enjoyed the well equipped deck for all dinners and was able to stay warm on cooler nights with the heat lamps. The hot tub was a great location, away from other houses; it was also very clean. Kitchen was fully equipped and well stocked (had the sharpest knives!) I appreciated all the little details that made the house amazing...from custom local artwork to the fully loaded welcome basket. We will be back again!

Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable with private entrance. One bathroom was close and easily accessible, with shower in a separate bathroom down the hall. Beautiful property with deer and turkey in the morning. Very responsive and respectful host. Enjoyed our stay!

We had an amazing stay! The house was incredibly spacious and clean, offering plenty of room for our group of 14. The location couldn't have been better—we were just a short distance from the marinas and the lake, which was perfect for all the activities we had planned. The host was fantastic, with excellent communication and quick responses to any questions we had. The house exceeded our expectations, and we truly loved our time here. We'll definitely be booking this place again for our next trip!

Beautiful home and location. Lori and Dave were incredibly responsive to any questions we had. The home is very close to the lake, I highly recommend staying there if you are going to Lake Shasta.

This place was better than we imagined. They had items included in the house that we felt was above and beyond a normal Airbnb house. The house felt secluded yet within walking distance of the lake! The host was very responsive and went above and beyond! The house was spacious, warm and welcoming. Lots of parking, minutes to a boat ramp. We would definitely love to stay here again.

Lori was a great host, always in communication, and responding to any question we had, the place is so pretty, clean, and very convenient. I truly recommend this place for someone who wants to have a good time out of the city and connects with the nature.

We have stayed here about 4 years in a row now. They have made some lovely improvements. A few things quit working at the house during our stay but the hosts were very responsive and we were able to sort it out. We also had an unfortunate car problem and they were very flexible with us. Would highly recommend staying here! Short walk to the water and a very comfortable home for our family.

Beautiful view, well supplied house, responsive host. Good Indian restaurant (Hari Om Shri Ram) open on new years only 20 min drive away.

This was an amazing family trip. The house is right on the lake and there were deer every morning. Lori was very helpful and had everything laid out for us.

We came up to retreat #5 for a mens weekend getaway and the house did not disappoint. The porch looks right over the lake with some great seating to sit and play games or eat and relax. The living, dining and kitchen are spacious and laid out in a way that keeps you focused on all of the sliding glass doors giving you that great view of the lake. There is plenty of room to spread people out in the 3 bedrooms and the decor is really cool. The water was only about a 2 minute walk from the house making it a great location. I would highly recommend this for a getaway.

My work family celebrated a relaxing weekend at this beautiful place. The home was spacious enough to accommodate 16 of us and then some. We were greeted with a nice gift basket of souvenirs and a bottle of wine (some snacks would have brought it up a notch). Host was responsive since the beginning of the booking process and we were not disappointed upon our arrival. We read up on bringing our own toiletries and hot tub towels which wasn’t a problem but uncommon compared to many of our previous stays. If you plan to be in “vacay mode” and to explore this would be a perfect place. The only draw back for us, since this was a work related retreat, was the lack of a strong internet connection. Aside from that, we were able to cook and share meals together. The kitchen had plenty of amenities and up to date appliances. We had a few minor issues that were quickly addressed and proper accommodations made. Host made sure we had a comfortable stay. Thank you Lori & David!

This felt like a home away from home. It was comfortable and accommodating, the owners are very friendly and welcoming and respond fast if needed. Definitely will be staying here again!

This was a perfect stay for five adults and three grandchildren. ( ages: 8, 3, and 1 ) We stayed a week. The upstairs was a wonderful space for our group to spread out. It had couches, a table for puzzles, games, and a variety of movies. The kitchen was well organized and had everything we needed plus more. All the counter space made it easy to prepare meals for our group. It was bonus to have a pantry to pull out and unpack all our dry goods. The deck was a favorite for barbecuing, looking out on the lake view, and visiting. We loved all the dresser space and being able to unpack all our bags for the week. Having a washer and a dryer was so helpful, and it was wonderful having that extra big room in the back to unload ice chest and our lake bags/towels. Our check in and check out were both a breeze. Brian was a wonderful host with quick responses to any questions we had. Thanks for a relaxing week stay!
