Nature eco lodge vacation rentals in West Virginia

I enjoyed my entire time staying here. It is a great place to come and relax after a hard day's work. It is kept clean and provides all the basic amenities that a person needs. The Cafe is a great place to come and chat with friends, make new friends, and get work done. Philippa does a great job of making sure that you're happy throughout your entire stay. Did not get to meet Elisabeth but that's ok. Hopefully will come back in the future. Thank you!

This was the second time I’ve stayed here and, as with the first time, it was very enjoyable. There was a slight issue with the hot water heater but it was dealt with immediately and was not a problem at all. I will definitely be staying here again in the future. Elisabeth was a wonderful host.

Cozy, clean, and SO peaceful and quiet! Bed was super comfortable and clean. I had a perfect night's rest. The accommodations were simple and rustic, as advertised. Great price for a private, no frills place to sleep. The nearby town offered decent restaurants and great coffee, too.

Great value. Very simple room, but has everything needed. Close to Marlinton, so shopping and restaurants are close by. Very quiet and peaceful atmosphere.

We had a wonderful stay at the Salubrious House! The Generals Quarters suite was both spacious and gorgeous. The whole place is so historic, well-preserved, and surrounded by incredible natural beauty. Our hosts were very attentive and made our stay even more special. Definitely a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to spend a night in an incredible historic house—would recommend to anyone!

This was a very nice place to stay. The property manager was very responsive to my inquiries and I was able to work during the day. The wifi was a bit spotty/in and out, but when I reached out, they worked with the provider to get it fixed. It is a rural location, BUT everything you'd need is about 15 minutes away. So it's peaceful AND convenient. I would definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.

Brigadoon as a whole is an experience in and of itself. The home is VERY artistic, colorful, and stimulating. There is so much for the eye and soul to take in. Heather was always friendly, warm, and helpful. We had great interactions and chats as time allowed. The bed and room was comfy and inviting, and the bathroom facilities were clean and warm as well. Overall, this choice will bring all of your senses alive in a curious and comfortable way! Enjoy!

Was looking for affordable lodging for a ski trip at Snowshoe, and YMC was a hidden gem! Melanie was very responsive, helpful, and friendly. Really appreciated the check in guide with photos included to make it really easy to get into our room even at night. Since the center is so remote, it felt very safe and peaceful. We enjoyed the character of the dining and great room with lots of homey touches. We appreciated that it was dog friendly, and Melanie had even prepared a bag of dog supplies for our room which was so thoughtful. Although we didn’t get to explore the beautiful grounds this time, we will certainly be back in the spring to check it out!

The room was very nice. Lots of spaces available in the common rooms too. Also, the fireplace was a big hit. Melanie could not have been more helpful. She answered every question that I had in a very timely manner usually within 10 minutes or so. She even gave me all of the information of where the gas stations and closest store was. If I had to make a suggestion the only one thing I would suggest is to let people know there isn't a television or radio so they can bring something in the event they need to see/hear news/weather.

Came to relax for my birthday weekend and it was better than I expected. Staff were super sweet and helpful. My room was super clean and felt like home. Melanie the host was eager to answer questions and kept the fireplace going all weekend in the main room. The staff really makes you feel like family! P.s. for those super sensitive to noise levels at night, the walls are a bit on the thinner side and you might want to bring earplugs just in case. There are signs up on the walls that mention quiet hours from 10pm and the staff try their best to keep it like that, however you never know how quiet your "neighbors" next door will be. Overall I really enjoyed my stay! Although I wasn't too happy about the bit of noise I experienced the first night , Its more important to me that the hosts are friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Thanks again for the most amazing weekend and surprise birthday decoration. It made me feel special! Will definitely visit this place again.

We rested and felt inspired by other guests (conversations). The community atmosphere and Maple Days were added bonuses to a peaceful environment. I enjoyed this particular room because it can be accessed from inside.

This was such a cozy weekend getaway. I brought my 5 year old daughter and she loved the toys and worksheets available to play. This is a great place for an unplugged getaway!
