Moonacre Yurt

EmmaRating, 5 stars68 months ago
We wanted a place where our family could connect, the children could experience a different way of life (we’re townies!) and our lungs could fill with fresh air. Moonacre Yurt hit the spot!! Surrounded by chickens, cows and Mother Nature, we soaked up as much of the atmosphere and Dide’s knowledge as possible. What a wonderful host, encouraging the kids to collect fresh eggs and talking to them about biodynamic farming, such a pleasure! Not a place for those of you wanting creature comforts (compost toilet, walk outside the yurt to get to bathroom and kitchen) but oh so wonderful for a snippet of the good life...

Buzzard Yurt @ Blackdown Yurts

GarethRating, 5 stars6 months ago
A Perfect Family Getaway at the Buzzard Yurt Our recent stay at the Buzzard Yurt was nothing short of fantastic! My wife, two children, and two dogs had a wonderful time in this beautiful location. The yurt itself was incredibly comfortable and well-equipped, with everything you could possibly need for a cozy stay. The attention to detail was impressive, and it’s clear that the hosts have thought of everything to make guests feel at home. The facilities were top-notch, with the showers being particularly fab – a real treat after a day of exploring the stunning surroundings. The setting is both peaceful and picturesque, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing break. A special mention must go to the hosts, who went above and beyond to accommodate us. I had an interview scheduled during our stay, and they kindly allowed me to use the office in their house, which was a huge help. Their hospitality truly made our stay even more enjoy

Beautiful Rural Yurt with Wood Fired hot tub

IonaRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Despite the weather taking a turn and it being incredibly wet most the weekend, we throughly enjoyed our stay at the yurt. The yurt itself is very cosy. We bought our projector and screen so we could snuggle up and watch some films with the wood burner going, and the sound of the rain just made it that bit cosier. We loved the hot tub, though we only used it one of the nights we stayed. The farm shop on site is such a fabulous perk of staying here, we grabbed some nice beers/posh vodka, and snacks and nibbly bits, and we popped in and checked out the vintage/antique shop too. Being so close to the farm animals was also really sweet and we both loved the pig. Overall we made the most of our stay and had a really lovely time.

Glastonbury Valley Glamping

RoxyRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Our whole group had a fantastic weekend away at this beautiful spot. The rain didn't dampen our spirits as the facilities were perfect. The gorgeous yurt made a wonderful communal space & the firepit provided a magical outside spot. The tents were very comfortable & had everything we needed. We would highly recommend this private getaway & could not fault it. 10 out of 10!!

Bracken - Luxury en-suite yurt near Bridport

DanRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Had an absolutely lovely couple of nights at the site for New Year's. The site was peaceful and in a beautiful location. The yurt was amazing, excellent wood burner, lovely furnishings and the heated sheets were great too. Nick was very welcoming and helpful (we didnt get the chance to meet Molly), lovely chap and we made use of the table tennis and i braved a dip in the lake, which was great! Close proximity to several pubs and plenty of food options in Bridport itself too, as well as many amazing areas to visit on the Jurassic Coast. We will happily be back at some point, this has been one of the best Airbnb visits ive had, so would highly recommend to anyone thinking of going!

Willow Yurt @ Blackdown Yurts

FayRating, 5 stars21 months ago
We had a lovely stay in Willow yurt, as a family of four. The yurt and the site facilities are excellent. We loved the open space around the yurt and really appreciated the dedicated fridge and bathroom facilities in the barn. The evening bat walk with Katie was an added bonus which we all enjoyed.

Woodpecker Yurt @ Blackdown Yurts

ScottRating, 5 stars6 months ago
What a place this is. I always spend a while on air b&b trying to find somewhere good to stay at a reasonable price…. This surpasses that! The yurts are way bigger than expected, the communal area is awesome and has everything you need, shower room is great. The kids absolutely loved every minute of it, we had some real, money can’t buy quality family time. (Amazing what 2 days of no screens can do!) We will , 110% be back for a longer stay again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Handcrafted Grain Store Yurt in Somerset Woodland

ChristopherRating, 5 stars4 months ago
A very memorable stay, Amanda's listing has beautiful photos but they don't do the place justice! A wonderful way to have a truly relaxing, off grid experience but we were by no means slumming it! Amanda and Tom have kitted out the yurt and accompanying cabin with everything you could possibly need and more. The bed was extremely comfy and we were toasty warm despite it being well into October.

Wow I don’t think I can even put in to words how beautiful this place really is, it’s such an amazing little gem tucked away from all the hustle and bustle. We left feeling totally grounded back to the nature and relaxed to the core. Honestly cannot wait to book our return visit. Has everything you need for some proper family time to reconnect back with each and be at one with nature. Olivia and grant really have created something so special here and am so soo grateful to have found this place 💝🙏💝

Cosy Yurt set In beautiful countryside. Log stove

MaryRating, 5 stars7 months ago
This is glamping at it’s best. All the benefits of getting away from it all and back to basics in the countryside, with the luxury of home comforts in a beautiful private peaceful setting. Sam & Rich had thought of everything to make it a wonderful stay. The biscuits and cider on arrival was a lovely welcome. There’s so much to do on the doorstep; walking, beach days and great food. We hope to come back in the future.

Yarlington Yurt Tower

LeeRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We stayed in the Yarlington yurt which was absolutely wonderful, almost like something from a fairytale. We were given excellent instructions on how to get to and access the property and facilities and it was very well appointed. The only disappointments were well beyond the control of the owners in that the weather was terrible, so we were unable to make the best of the available facilities in the fire pit and barbeque. One other point of note is that if you are planning to eat at the local pub, do make a booking. They were unable to accommodate us as they were fully booked and were also asked to drink outside despite being half empty. I would heartily recommend staying at Torre Cider Farm and would love to go back in better weather.

Luxurious Yurt Mendips Outstanding Natural Beauty

AnnemieRating, 5 stars6 months ago
We had the best time at Tim's place! The location exceeded our expectations, it was so peaceful with loads to do and we even saw the resident deer a couple of times. We had a hammock, swings for the kids, a badminton court, firepit area with loads of wood. But make sure you are up for a steep walk to and from the car park as not suited for people with any knee or ankle issues. The yurt was spectacular too with everything you would expect and the furnishings are beautiful 🐝! Thank you Tim for a lovely stay!

Magic Yurt nr Durdle Door & Weymouth + play garden

SadieRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We had a lovely stay at The Yurt with our 2 children aged 4 and 5. Inside the Yurt was comfortable and clean and had everything that we needed. It was very magical for the children having all the fairy lights and lovely for us having the wood burner. Great garden with lots of things for the children to play on and keep them entertained, as well as books and games in the yurt. Good location, not to far to drive to lots of lovely walks, country parks and beaches.

Driftaway Glamping entire site: both yurt & safari

KateRating, 5 stars8 months ago
My friends and I had a great stay at Driftaway. We hired both the yurt and safari tent so that we had the whole site to ourselves and were able to pitch up another tent to accommodate three families with young children and a dog altogether. The tents and shower blocks are well equipped with cooking equipment and games. The surroundings are beautiful with a woodland behind which has deer, foxes, badgers and rabbits. The hosts were really friendly and responsive when I let them know the loo flush in one of the toilets wasn't working well. They were very accommodating when we had other friends visit for BBQs as well. Overall we really enjoyed our stay & would definately go back!

Unique timber yurt, stunning views and use of pool

Chris Rating, 5 stars2 months ago
My life is transformed. Never would I ever of believed that a round wooden cabin would fill my heart with so much warmth and gratitude. The optical illusion, the miniature door, the abundance of blankets and fluffy rugs, the walk to the toilet that made me appreciate the Yurt even more; this Yurt is beyond words existing in the farthest galaxy of cosmic madness. Yurt really is love and Yurt really is life. Thank you ✨️

Piglet Yurt, the Ultimate Luxurious Nature Retreat

AdrianRating, 5 stars21 months ago
If you looking for weekend away to recharge your batteries this is the place to stay. Very welcoming and extremely quiet. The cafe on site is amazing and always our first port of call in the morning. Plenty of space to make you feel isolated between other tents. I will be definitely recommending black pig retreat to friends and family.

Thank you Sandy and crew for a lovely stay again, this is our third visit and our absolute favourite place to come for tranquility and peace. My children thoroughly enjoyed and they were delighted to be welcomed in to listen to some live ‘open mic’ singing. They loved making friends with the resident dogs also ❤️We didn’t want to come home! We will be back again next year and hopefully the festival will be on which we will come to for sure! x

Eggardon Hideaways Yurt

SammiRating, 5 stars6 months ago
I took my partner here for a couple of nights as a suprise for out anniversary, emily was more than helpful and very kindly sorted out some extras for the yurt as per my request. We had a lovely peaceful stay, bathroom spotless, kitchen is perfect, views are outstanding. The yurt its self was so cozy and clean!Sad we had to leave, now wishing I'd booked for 3 nights as rather than 2 but the time we spent here was incredible. Emily was on hand if we needed anything (which we didnt). The surrounding areas are lovely, a hill fort just a short walk away! This is the perfect little get away for if you really want to just get away and be left be!My partner was absolutely over the moon and didnt want to leave!Thank you emily for everything..we will be back!

The Nest

MattRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We booked this at short notice and it was perfect for what we were looking for, after a very busy and stressful period we just wanted somewhere to chill and relax for a few nights. The yurt itself is well furnished and very comfortable with lots of attention to detail. There’s a decked area that leads to a bathroom and well equipped kitchen. A personal note from Camilla with a pack of biscuits and eggs was much appreciated as was the coffee, tea and milk that was in the kitchen. The weather whilst we stayed varied a lot but the yurt stayed warm and we didn’t find the need to use the log burner. Would definitely recommend.

Beautifully furnished yurt sited within 20 acres

AndreaRating, 5 stars33 months ago
A delightful, quirky rural escape with plenty of Somerset’s attractions on your doorstep. A few suggestions for your stay: Embrace being woken at dawn by the birdsong. (Or bring an eye mask and ear plugs). The day’s sun will keep the yurt toastie, but you’ll probably need the fire of the evening. My escapes don’t involve me cooking, but if you want to, you may need a few extras eg forks, chopping board, seasonings and enough imagination to work your magic with a two-ring gas burner and a kettle. There’s plenty of nearby pubs, we enjoyed the Oakhill Inn. There’s a little bit of a walk/dash to the facilities block, I’d suggest a dressing gown and an umbrella. And finally, no need to worry about bad weather; we survived an incredible thunderstorm and lightning and everything was good. In all a lovely alternative stay, we adored the location and the work that’s gone in to making this an environmentally-friendly wildlife spot.

Peaceful Nature Cabins at Higher Farm

AdrianRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Yurt was very clean, warm and welcoming, a rainforest shower was lovely touch. Thankfully no TV, or WiFi... Just a kettle and a comfortable bed. If its been raining, bring wellies for the walk to the yurt and a change of shoes for the decking and the inside. I can't fault my afternoon and evening I spent there, wonderful views, peace and quiet, and a chiminea to warm you up. The only gripe is the what three words took me to the cafe and not the car park, and some signage when you leave the cafe to show where the Yurts are would be great. But only minor niggles. I can highly recommend.
