Cottage vacation rentals in Volterra

We stayed at this lovely cottage in late November and we were delighted with every aspect of the stay. The cottage was clean and comfortable, and was well equipped. The hot-tub was wonderful and sitting there on a chilly night with a view of SG was amazing. Annalisa and Davide were really nice and friendly and very helpful- great hosts. It was about 35 minutes to walk to the town, so quite walkable, and wonderfully quiet and rural (one morning there were 3 deer walking past the window). We had a very nice day out in Sienna which was easy to drive to. I would definitely recommend this place as somewhere really special.

Lovely, peaceful, spacious place with a kind and generous host in Simone. He met us as we arrived and used his wagon to help move our luggage into the cottage. Big rooms, lots of space, many handy supplies in the kitchen. Good shower, comfortable bed. Enough bench space in the bathroom to put your things. Simone was really helpful with local recommendations for restaurants and where to park the car. One day he made a delicious tart and bought us in half. Would recommend staying at his place.

We loved it here! Surrounded by nature and peace. It is 35 min away from Florece and near many charming Tuscan towns. The holiday home is beautifully decorated, and has everything you need. The heating system worked well. Our favorite part was the jacuzzi and enjoying the views/stars at night. Beatrice is a lovely host, she is very responsive and friendly.

2 Nights of Dreams! We were greeted by Niccolò, perfect in everything, he gave us many tips on both places to see and where to go to eat, we followed them all and we stayed with God! The very nice cottage, has everything you need even for longer stays, the view is wonderful ,and the hot tub is a treat , both day and night . They welcomed us with a bottle of sparkling wine and red petals, which was not at all obvious, everything was perfect , thank you very much Natasha and Niccolò 😊

Sara and Brian are truly amazing hosts—proactive, kind, and fascinating to talk to. Their home is enchanting, like stepping into a real fairytale. You can feel how much love and care they’ve poured into every detail. It’s one of the most spectacular places we’ve ever stayed in! Not only is the house and the garden magical, but it’s also so practical and thoughtfully equipped, providing everything you could think of to make your stay comfortable. The gym was fantastic, and the house had plenty of space for two families. Even with 2 adults and 4 “monkeys” (our energetic kids), there was room for everyone to relax and enjoy. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and celebrating New Year’s Eve with fireworks lighting up the entire region was an unforgettable experience. Thank you, Sara and Brian, for sharing your incredible home with us. We can’t wait to return!!!

Dreamy place and beautiful! You can't ask for more. Amazing views, nothing inside is missing, comfortable bed, etc., Not to mention Elena's beautiful welcome and the good wine 🍷 she left for us as well as a large bottle of water.

Letizia was a great hostess! So friendly and accommodating. Her place was serene, private and the space was quite large. Her property is beautiful.

Nice and quiet place. Beautiful views of the hills .Lost of outdoor space and sweet distance sound of the church bell. Lovely place to get back too after a busy day elsewhere.

This is a home away from home. Stunning views. Extremely friendly host. Massimo and his son greeted us upon arrival and explained everything regarding the house. They gave us good tips on how to reach different towns. The inside of the home is so beautifully crafted and very clean. You will definitely need a car to get around. If you plan to go to Florence, ask them what is the best way (tram). Grocery store (Coop) nearby. The hosts even came on our last day to bid us farewell. Such a lovely family and lovely stay. We highly recommend!

Giacomo's home is a beautiful rustic renovated on the hill. The location is splendid. It's close to the city, even if it's in a quiet location. The house is beautiful, a typical renovated Tuscan farmhouse. We were very well received by the owners and they immediately made us feel "at home". The environment is super clean and equipped with everything we needed. The owners are extremely discreet but available if needed. Kitchen is well-equipped. The owners made us find plenty of seasonal fruit and a beautiful bouquet of flowers. We had a wonderful week. We just left...and can't wait to come back.

Our host Mattéo was really friendly and suggested lots of places to visit. The property was beautifully and tastefully decorated without being too fussy. We felt at right at home. The location was very beautiful and we felt privileged to stay in such surroundings.

Beautiful little cottage! My young daughters (5 & 2) loved being around Daniella’s dog and the beautiful surroundings of olive trees and being able to disconnect with electronics. We even got to see how olives were harvested early in the morning. We were even given a bottle of wine to enjoy during our stay. Daniella was very helpful! And out of all the Airbnbs I’ve stayed in, the beds were very comfortable!! It is very secluded and the road is very curvy so if you get car sick, take your motion sickness meds. Other than that, I would stay here again! My 5 year old loved our stay here and didn’t want to leave. Thank you Daniella!

beyond all expectations, the view from the windows of the Chianti vineyards is priceless, comfortable and clean apartment, the photos do not do justice, Paola is really kind and responsive. We will definitely be back highly recommended

Francesco's cottage was absolutely wonderful, one of the best places we stayed in on our one month trip to Italy! It was very clean and spacious and the 2 separate bedrooms and bathrooms were great for 3 of us traveling together. The showers were big and had plenty of hot water. The house was beautifully situated in an olive grove, but really only about 1 km outside the town of Sinalunga and the olives on the trees were almost ready to be harvested. We only stayed 3 nights at the cottage, but all wished we could have stayed longer. We will gladly return to Francesco's cottage if we are again in the Sinalunga area.

perfect place in Tuscany we stayed 7 days and it was perfect to explore Tuscany and to relax at the pool side. The house is very charming in Tuscany style Laura even left us coffee water and Prosecco. One if the best stays during our Italy trip

We had a pleasant stay at Vito's. The house is very well arranged and offers many amenities. The place is idyllic surrounded by fields of olive trees and at height allowing an exceptional view of Tuscany. The pool is simply fantastic, spacious and extremely maintained thanks to Vito's right arm who takes great care of the entire property . This is an absolute must-see address that we highly recommend.

The place is wonderful ! The cottage had everything you need, a great space in front of the cottage - a private grill, a table with chairs, sun loungers, an umbrella and a grill. The nearest store is about 10 minutes by car, there are several great restaurants in pratovecchio and Stia. The pool area is great- the pool is clean, the sun loungers are comfortable, and the view is AMAZING. Definitely recommend for shorter and longer stays !

We had a very nice stay with Laura, despite the not so good weather. The terrace offers a wonderful view of the scenery and leaves nothing missing. Laura was always available and very helpful. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at Castellina Di Bocco and were sad to leave! The house was extremely clean, well furnished and inviting whilst Giulia was a generous host. From the moment we set foot on the property, we were warmly welcomed by three wonderful dogs (Thor, Pagnotta and Menta) that would become best friends with our children for the entirety of our stay. The house was great for our family of four with two living areas. Set high up on a hill, overlooking the township of Castiglion Fibocchi, you’re spoiled by a view that rivals the nearby Big Bench tourist attraction! The town itself is accessible by foot but as a family we needed to drive everywhere - Google maps guides the way perfectly. We had intended on visiting vineyards across Chianti but this was a challenge. We opted for close by wineries instead and a stop over in nearby Montepuliciano which did not disappoint. We missed out on using the pool due to bad weather but it looks perfect for warmer weather!

We were guests of Ilaria for Lucca Comics: the house is about 20-25 minutes from Lucca and the road that connects it to the city was not very busy on the days we stayed. The house itself is very welcoming and well-stocked, spacious and with the possibility of being outside with tables, pool or barbecue area (we did not take much advantage of these aspects, but in summer it must definitely be very nice). The only flaws we have found are the substantially absent reception, which therefore obliges us to rely only on the wifi, and the entrance way to the house that is little visible, but regarding this second point Ilaria was very kind to provide us with photos and precise directions, in addition to offering to meet us when we arrived (which would have been after 10:00 pm). Overall, we are very satisfied with our stay!

Vania's place was just as described in the listing. We stayed 5 nights, and the cottage was perfect for making day trips to the small towns of Tuscany. The property was private and peaceful, with beautiful views of the countryside from the patio. Vania is a great host, and was helpful with questions and suggestions. We would definitely love to stay at Vania's place again.
