[Long-term welcome] Entire townhouse 56 ㎡ · Don Quijote, Tokyo 45 minutes directly in front of the station

I wish I had known about Naoko's place earlier. I have rented other Airbnb's in Tokyo, but none have been even remotely as well equipped or convenient as her place. The unit might seem a bit further out, but train service to the area is excellent. In return for a few minutes on the train, you get significantly lower cost, more space, less noise, and super nice furnishings -- without losing good restaurants and shopping. The unit was recently refurbished completely, so everything was like new, and it had everything you might want without being cluttered. It is easily walkable from the train station, but Naoko picked me up and also dropped me off at the station. She is very proactive and friendly and speaks enough English for basic communication. As a bonus, there is a good bicycle you can use for errands or getting to the train more quickly. I have been in many, many Airbnb's, and frankly I cannot remember a better host or unit. I look forward to returning again!

The host was also easy to communicate with, and we were very grateful for the thoughtfulness of local sweets, home bakeries, etc. I wanted to use it again.

Machiya-style 2-story building, rented the entire old house @ Kakioka Shopping Street

ChristopherRating, 5 stars4 months ago
The area was great, I had an excellent time. The locals were very welcoming and kind. I was lucky enough to stay and participate in a couple festivals! There's a beautiful shrine right next door. It's good to get out and walk around and check out the nearby mountains, I even walked out to Ibara Flower Park in around an hour. The locals were welcoming even with my Japanese isn't quite there, I was able to have many brief conversations with the vocabulary I did know. On the bus, a trip to Ibaraki Station is around 650 yen, and can connect you to the express trains. The buses and trains are very reliable. Naoki is a great host and took very good care of me while I was there!
