Vacation rentals with a hot tub in South Kona

We could not have wished for a more perfect home for our top short stay. We wanted to stay there months and months longer if possible. The house was very well stocked and the owner has thought of everything to make your stay amazing. The view of the most perfect cove is just a gem to wake up to everyday. We could snorkel and surf right in front of the home. There’s an awesome poke place within walking distance. This home is perfect.

Piece of Paradise. So aptly named. This was our second visit. This time, the entirety of our trip to the island was in this home. We are avid travelers and have stayed at many vacation rentals. Not one, comes close to equaling the experience of the peace and private solitude that exists here. A number of days, we just stayed in place instead of exploring the island. Sitting in the hot tub as the sun sets and the frogs come to life with their inquisitive "Bo Peep?" musical serenade is just magical. Book it. If you are disappointed it's a 'you' problem. Or don't book it, so it will be available the next time we are looking to return to this spectacular vacation destination.

There's a reason (actually, a lot of reasons) this place is rated so highly. The house is beautiful and comfortable. We had a few concerns about staying so far from Kona, but it ended up being one of the best things about our trip. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful, and there's a grocery store, great food and even shave ice within 5 minutes of the house. The kitchen is very well equipped and clean, and so we ate in fairly often. An unexpected perk was all of the beach toys available to use in the laundry area. So nice to have! The caretaker downstairs is also very quiet, and super friendly. And Mikael is a fantastic host. Yes, there are signs all over the house. Some are helpful and some feel excessive. And it can get pretty warm when it's hot outside (90 in November was surprising!), but neither of those things are enough to remove even half a star from this experience. We've already recommended the house to friends, and will definitely stay here again on our next visit.

Very nice home with a beautiful porch overlooking the water. Beds were comfy, kitchen fully stocked. We appreciated our hosts communication. The area is very industrial and noisy with trucks but that was stated in the description. The house itself was very clean but the beautiful decks furniture needed wiping down when we arrived. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the house and convenient area! Some recommendations for other guests… our boys loved jumping off the tower at Coconut island (literally right down the road). The poke at the Suisan Market was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten! And the food, atmosphere and owner of Vibe was top notch for breakfast!

I loved my stay at the Jungle House! Julie was very communicative and Logan was very friendly and helpful. It was a great location to make it back and forth to either the beach or the city. The place was accessible but felt very secluded. I even skipped dinner plans one night and just ordered take-out and enjoyed a peaceful night in the house. I loved the island chickens and the frogs, and the town up the road was full of friendly folks. All in all, an A+ experience.

Andrea was a great, friendly and responsive host. The place was comfortable with incredible views of the landscape and ocean. We felt right at home. It had all the amenities we needed to settle in, be comfortable, and enjoy our visit to Hawaii. Also it is right next to one of the most beautiful waterfalls (Akaka Falls) we've ever seen.

We came to Volcano to visit the national park and Christina’s place was perfect. It was so close (you could see the glow from the active eruption from the backyard). The area is quiet and peaceful, and the hot tub was great after a long day of hiking. 10/10 would recommend if you’re planning on visiting the park.

Loved our stay and the view was much better than I thought it would be… Very pretty to sit outside in the am.

We stayed at Royal Sea Cliff in unit 109, and it was absolutely amazing. The property was right on the ocean, and the condo was very spacious and comfortable with all the amenities we could ever want. It has a huge lanai which we enjoyed using for our morning coffee and our glass of wine at sunset. There were also pool toys for the kids, and plenty of beach gear for us which was very useful. The grounds are lovely, and the building is well maintained and cleaned. We had an issue with one of the bathroom doors that had gotten off the track, and Kona Coast was very attentive, and sent a handyman out the next day to fix it. The unit is definitely a little pricier, but it was well worth the money spent, and we would stay here again in a heartbeat. The only recommendation I would give is to update their cable tv to maybe provide Netflix or at least to have a working tv guide. When we wanted to watch a show at night, we had to manually flip through each channel to find a show, because the digital guide said "no information" for each channel. But this was an insignificant detail compared to everything else that was awesome with the unit. We would love to stay here again if we're ever on the Big Island again!

The condo was clean and more than enough for us. Hosts communication was on point. She handled my every request. I definitely recrecommend this place.

The area was beautiful, beach, shopping, movie theater, resturants, and much more all walkable. The villa overlooks the golf course quiet and peaceful. The owners everything you need for a great visit to the beach, If you don't mind staying about 20 minutes from Kona, it's a great place to stay

Had a wonderful stay with my family. We were six adults and it did not feel crowded. Loved having dinners on the outdoor patio. Great that each bedroom had our own bathrooms! Great snorkeling at the nearby beaches. Very much recommend!

My husband and I went for a week with my 18-year daughter of daughter and her friend. The space was a great set up with the two en suite bedrooms. The furniture was comfy and the kitchen was well appointed. Communication with gather staff was excellent and they were responsive to our needs. Lots of beach equipment in the garage and the short walk to the pool and fitness center was a bonus. We loved our stay there and would definitely return!

My wife and I have enjoyed our stay at Kim's. We arrived later in the day well after sunset and the lights were on for us when we pulled in. Waking up the first morning to a view of the ocean after a night hearing the waves was magical. The Airbnb is roomy and elegant with everything you may need , from beach towels and chairs to binoculars to try to spot whales from the deck. Beyond the stay, Kim's communication was incredible. She provided us with dozen of recommendations for places to visit, eat and even massage therapists. We will back for sure!

This location and house is absolutely fabulous. The host makes everything super clear in the instruction manual, the house is immaculate and very easy to get accustomed too. My only complaint is that I couldn’t stay longer. The hot tub was a gift from god, the beds were all comfortable, all the furniture was super cozy, we loved our stay and would 1,000% book this place again. Mahalo nui!

We had a wonderful stay at the Jungle Cabin. It’s hidden away in a peaceful spot in town and is decorated in a way that lets you truly immerse in nature. The AirBNB was perfect for the 4 of us, and it was great that each bedroom had its own bathroom. The shared kitchen was also clean and organized, and we got great use of it! Christophe and Bonnie were incredible hosts, always offering helpful suggestions and checking in to make sure we were checked in and settled nicely. They were also thoughtful in providing beach gear and other kitchen supplies. Highly recommend, and we look forward to returning some day!

Unique property you feel comfortable but in the jungle at the same time. The Jeep 4WD is a must for the road, but it will be useful around the island to go beyond the normal tourist places. Forget holiday resorts and cities, this is real escape holiday destination. Great place, great value thanks for letting us stay in your place. :-)

The house in Volcano was just what my husband and I needed for a peaceful and relaxing stay. The home is located in a quiet neighborhood that is easy to find, and very close to the National Park. Be prepared to either pick up groceries in Hilo and cook at the house, or be aware of the changing times of the local food trucks. Otherwise, this is a great place to stay!

We loved our stay here. It’s a really charming and comfortable cabin. It had everything we needed and it was awesome to be close to Volcano NP. Lorena was a great and really responsive host!

A beautiful place to stay. Felt right at home in the jungle, private space with a friendly public shared kitchen and hot tip area. Close to volcanos national park and Dawn had excellent recs for things to do.

If you are going to be in this side of the Big Island this airbnb is a must! Love the place!! I wish we would have stayed longer! First of all what a paradise, very cute and clean. Love the outdoor shower and of course all the amenities. I personally enjoyed walking up in the morning have a cup of coffee in the porch and at night returning from all our sightseeing and enjoy the hot tub while listening to the frogs and the birds outside. Our host was very proactive and return a message promptly even though I was not expecting it. Thank you for everything!
