Cabin vacation rentals in Smith River

If you’re looking for an ocean front place, this is it! Perfect size balcony with hot tub. With easy private beach access for those staying in this cabin. Restaurants are a short ten minute drive north or south of Highway 101. Kitchen is really quick with every thing you need for cooking as well full size fridge. Bathroom was clean with included shampoo and conditioner. Room on main level was great, with additional two twin beds on loft that a young adult is able to climb about seven stairs,with low ceilings. Love the DVD and VHS collection if you’re looking to relax and watch a movie. Beautiful ocean view day and night!

Estee’s cabin was the perfect little getaway and was exactly what we needed. It was so cozy inside and we felt right at home. Everything was exactly as pictured and we cherished every moment of the fabulous ocean view from the hot tub. Stargazing at night from the hot tub was also extra special. Estee is friendly and responded quickly when I had questions. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

We had an amazing 3 day stay at the cabin! It was very clean, the kitchen was nicely updated and stocked with everything we needed and the bed was super comfortable. However, the best part was the view and sunsets!! From the living room windows, the deck or the hot tub, the views were gorgeous! The location is very dark at night so the amount of stars we could see sitting in the hot tub at night blew us away. Definitely the highlight of our trip! Can’t wait to go back!!

We love staying at these cabins any chance we can get! We’ve been coming for 10 years and they never disappoint. The location is unbeatable as you are right on the bluffs of the ocean. We love spending time on the deck and hot tub watching sunrises, sunsets and watching all the boats in the Brookings harbor. On a clear day, you can see the Point St George lighthouse from your back deck! The cabins are always well stocked and feel like home. Estee was so kind, communicative and accommodating. We will keep coming back for years and years to come! It’s our absolute favorite getaway.

Wow! The location of this place is UNREAL!! It is located on a cliff over looking the ocean. From room 3 you open a little gate, walk about a minute and you’re on the beach. I understand some of the negative reviews - the shower was pretty tiny, some things could be upgraded, close to other cabins … That being said, I LOVED all of the quirky things about this cabin. I really appreciated that it wasn’t a modern space. I LOVED the cabin feel. If you’ve stayed anywhere in this area you would understand that the vibe isn’t really fancy and modern. That’s why I love coming to Smith River. It’s very homey and that’s how I felt in this cabin. Yes, it’s expensive, but the location seriously can’t be beat. I hope to make this my yearly birthday spot to reflect and recharge. I feel like a different person after a weekend here.

This cabin was stunning, friendly staff. Gorgeous views! Worth every penny :) my husband and I booked super last minute as we weren't sure we'd be able to celebrate our anniversary and Estee was incredibly helpful in getting us approved asap and into the cabin! Will definitely return.

I am looking forward to staying again. Though it wasn’t beach front it was nice and private. It is a beautiful place to stay. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The private beach was beautiful too…

Bridget’s place was amazing. It was very modern, clean, clutter free and spacious. It had all the amenities you would need for a great stay. Every item seemed carefully curated and well thought out. From the welcoming cookies to dog bed, bowls and treat for our pup, to the kitchen utensils and appliances, to the spotless bathroom and its amenities, to the super comfortable beds, the list goes on, everything was great. We might have felt happier if there were shades in the kitchen, but that’s a minor detail. Overall, a great pitstop and we would have loved to stay longer and will definitely consider again.

The cabin was beautiful in a peaceful spot in the woods. Cabin and surrounding area were well taken care of. I recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Likely once an incredible location, severe fire damage has affected the roads, the views, and the work that Dan has put into the place. And it is an incredible amount of work, the place has amazing buildings with incredible mosaics, a beautiful community that is quietly thriving even in winter after such a setback. The amount of fire damage was truly shocking to me, coming from a more northern region of the US where we don't often get such extreme damage. I would have to amend his recommendations on the road, it's stable but much affected by fire damage and mud coming down the mountain. Trees have and certainly will keep falling across the road over the next few years, take it very slow as the edges are steep. Everything and everyone we met were warm and friendly but we missed the host! I would love to stay here again in the summer to see the activity in full swing and maybe even be a part of the recovery.

Such a beautiful place to be even during stormy weather, being able to sit in the nice warm, cozy living room, and watch the turmoil going on in the ocean. Felt extremely safe even walking down to pelican Beach in the rain was so convenient. Use Yelp to go into Brookings for meals. All of them were over the top!

Beautiful location and view. For some reason the hot tub took a couple of days to actually become hot so we missed having that time to use it. Vacasa was responsive and tried to help. Finally it did start working and was great. We enjoyed walking down to Whaleshead beach and the short drive into Brookings. Great option for stay in the Brookings area!

A great, cozy little cabin for the perfect getaway to the coast. Had a great view and was in the perfect spot to get to all the coastal viewpoints.

Dan's place is just as described. It’s off grid rustic eco village with a lot going on. I felt right at home, the bed and linens were comfortable. I had a very nice conversation with Dan over coffee in the morning. I'm sure this is not for everybody but if you're into self sustainability and have an open mind then you should make the effort to check it out. The directions are clear as long as you read them.

It was a nice comfortable place. We had several other families in the same area so getting together was very easy. It’s got great access to the beach.

Donnas place was nice and clean. It felt secluded in the forest just right outside of town. It was perfect for my wife and I. The only thing lacking was furniture out on the deck. We spent most times out there when we were at the house. The deck is great otherwise though!

Great place had fun on the beach

Estee was a great host! We loved the view, location, and the cabin. It was like a bigger tiny home with a super nice personal beach access right on property. We had a little issue with the hot tub but Estee and her team got right to it. Being able to bring our pups was a great addition!

This cabin was great! Surrounded by trees and beautiful scenery. Looked to be newly built. Very clean. Wish we could’ve spent more time here.
