Where do I even start! Ahmed's place deserves a 10 out of 10 and even more. We arrived early in the morning and Ahmed kindly offered us to check in early. The room is spotless and spacious. Ahmed is more than helpful and gave us a lot of good tips (it was then we realized that we were overcharged for the taxi). The guest house also offers airport pick-up, abusimbel trip and more at a reasonable price. Lawanda guest house is in the heart of the Nubian village, with a lot of souvenir shops and boutiques, making it a perfect location for a short walk and a feeling of Nubian daily life. All of that is at a jaw dropping low cost. Lawanda is going to be your best choice and I would recommend it to my friends and family.

Saif is a wise and friendly man. Always helpful. And most important, you always learn something talking with Saif. Thanks for the very warm welcome and enriching conversation. I hope come back to Elefantine Island and share time with Saif again. The room was cozy and the bathroom impeccable. In addition, has a nice living room. Highly recommended

I had the most wonderful two-night stay at this beautiful Nubian House! From the moment I arrived, the host ( Asma )made me feel right at home with her warmth, kindness, and genuine hospitality. She went above and beyond to ensure I had a comfortable and memorable experience. The highlight of my stay was definitely the food. We ordered her home made dinner for the first night and the meal was absolutely delicious! The flavors were incredible, and it felt like a true taste of local culture. I highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a cozy, welcoming and cute place to stay with a host who treats you like family. A truly five-star experience!
