Monthly Rentals in Santa Monica

I stayed at Rita’s lovely guest home for 6 weeks when I first moved to LA. It was the perfect spot to land — cozy, homey, and beautiful. Her garden is spectacular and was a peaceful spot to unwind at the end of the day. Rita was so kind and made me feel right at home. The street parking was easy — there was usually a spot right on the street in front of the house and the few times there wasn’t there was one within a block or two. The location is absolutely fantastic! Walkable to the canals, the beach, and shops. I absolutely recommend staying with Rita, whether it be a quick trip or a longer stay!

It was my second and certainly not my last stay at this wonderful tiny place. It is exactly as the pictures show, but living in it feels even better; especially with the incredible hospitality of Marty but also the whole neighborhood. Everything is perfect and beyond! I ended my stay early because of the fires. I feel almost guilty about it, but I did not know how to help and I felt like I was an additional burden. I am truly heartbroken at the devastation and loss experienced by so many. I send my love to everyone affected and immense gratitude to the brave firefighters risking everything to protect my beloved Los Angeles and all the open-hearted people who call it home.

Jay is a great host. He provided a clean, well equipped space that was exactly as described. He gave me a ton of local recommendations and was very responsive to all communications. He would check in regularly to see how things were going, and if I had an issue he made sure to resolve it the same day.

This amazing studio is an absolute gem - truly a home away from home. The location is superb, and it's so close to the beach that you can hear the waves at night. The studio is bigger than the photos depict, and has everything you need. Diane even stocked the fridge with some treats upon arrival, re-stocked toiletpaper/towels/papertowels during my 1 month stay, allowed me to use their washer and dryer, and had a cleaner come by. Communication was fast, and Diane and her husband very friendly. They live right next door, which is great for added safety. For anyone doing a long stay, there is plenty of closet space, fast WiFi, desk and chair for work, comfortable bed and all necessary cooking amentities and utensils. I recommend getting coffee from the surf shop right next door, by the way.
