House vacation rentals in Sandy Bay

From the moment we stepped through the door, the property exceeded our expectations with the thoughtful inclusions and the well thought out facilities. There is so much space, that even with our large family, it never felt crowded. The children were safe, easily occupied, and content in the environment. The outdoor pizza oven and BBQ provided even more options for meals in the beautiful garden filled with roses and fuchsias! Because the property offered such a variety of activities and entertainment, we did not need to leave for the entire long weekend. We had the most incredible time. There really are no words that can adequately describe the experience. Thank you, Jason, for providing such a beautiful and well equipped space for us to enjoy. I'm sure we will be back!

The holiday home was situated overlooking the Derwent River and mountains. You are able to while away hours watching the cruise ships berthing. The home itself is well appointed with most things required to self cater. Furniture is stylish and pleasant to be around. A second living area in the basement allows children and adults element of privacy. Wifi and Netflix available.

This is an outstanding property with a wonderful and responsive host. We couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. The house is very private and well appointed, maintained and stocked with quality produce and supplies - we were also welcomed by a beautiful hamper, and warm service. The property itself has stunning views from almost every window. We enjoyed using the gym (located in an adjacent private building which can also be used as a study), pool and spa. We had a few things on our list to visit for the Huon Valley but were very content to stay at the house and enjoy all the amenities. We would most definitely return here when visiting Tasmania.

Had a wonderful stay. House was clean and had everything we needed to use during our stay. The kids loved the pool and having some floatation toys readily available to use was a much enjoyed bonus! Hubby and I enjoyed sitting outside once the kids were settled in bed to enjoy a drink and the view. Would definitely stay here again

We had an excellent few days with our family at Marina’s house. The house is simple with large rooms and lots of space indoor and out. The view is lovely and ever changing and the kids loved the ducks and native hens. An ideal place for a family gathering.

One of the best air bnb’s I have stayed in. My toddler son had the best time in the pool, playground and especially talking to the chickens. Julie was an amazing host will definitely stay there again on future visits.

We had a lovely stay with our family with young children that loved the pool area. Would highly recommend a family to stay, only 10 minutes from Hobart was also a plus.

Angela’s holiday home is exactly that a home away from home . The feeling of simple shack/ holiday life but with attention to every detail is evident from the opening of the door . As the classical music played the sense of relaxation begins …… The extensive open plan kitchen , living , dining extends out to wonderful outdoor living deck space with wonderful vista amongst the agapanthas and yachts bobbing in the bay below … The beach is right in front of the shack a few mins walk with crystal clear water from Fredrick Henry Bay. Guests have an enormous garden and bbq Patio area soaking with summer sun and the added company of a Terra Cotta Warrior standing amongst the foliage . Each bedroom has superb linens / soft pillows /incredibly comfortable beds & rugs and electric blankets for those cooler Southern coastal nights . The art work amongst the whole of the house brings a feel of nostalgia- great water pressure beautiful books. Highlight separate retreat games reading room 10/10

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Shane's accommodation. The house was clean and tidy. We were able to check in earlier than expected and our check in was very easy with Shane's instructions. Although we were out most of the day, when we came back to the house, it felt like a home away from home. Very cosy!!

A warm welcome to a wonderful, well provisioned accommodation. Comfortable bed, great seats on front porch to watch sunset, most anything one would desire for a stay longer than our 3 days. Very comfortable for our couple hours of work before enjoying Hobart. Thank you for the great hospitality ! We hope to return.

This was a great stay for my family and I. Walkable to Richmond’s cafes and shops, whilst feeling like a private holiday space. The house and rooms were well appointed, with a wonderfully equipped kitchen. We loved the hot spa!

Looks good but had a small fridge, apart from that everything is neat and tiedy. Beautiful house we had a wonderful stay.

Our stay at the Fun House was truly memorable. I'd previously read all the reviews which were all positive . But I have to say the house exceeded my expectations. I'd already recommended it to people before I had actually seen it, now I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone who will listen. It was located in a quiet street, close to everything, beds were comfortable, and the bath… OMG that was awesome, I am quite tall and don’t fit in many baths, but I fitted in this and enjoyed it twice whilst we were staying there. My only complaint was that my husband sometimes won at the pinballs, I did not foresee that happening, but I suppose that will happen. When we arrived, we got caught in an absolute downpour and we were literally soaked through, Tony very nicely allowed us to come early so we could get out of our wet clothes, which was very much appreciated, we were very wet and cold by this stage. Thanks so much again Tony.

Very comfortable stay, convenient location, walkable to supermarket for multiple people, was the best choice, had questions, owner responded quickly

Shelley left us a bottle wine and chocolates and kept us informed when repairs had to be done on a faulty air conditioner as well as another bottle of wine. Very pleasant lady to deal with. Cheers Rena and John

Our family was visiting from the States and Western Australia and the location was perfect. The place was very clean and exactly as described. We were very happy with our stay.

Peaceful location, large bedrooms, great outdoor area for kids to explore, and it felt very homely yet clean, and easy to stay in. The kitchen was great, big enough for the whole family to eat in. Loved being able to visit many local attractions.

Absolutely loved this place and would definitely stay there again. I had everything I needed, and the house was clean and spacious, and the bathrooms were also clean and modern. The house is surrounded by lovely trees and shrubs on a big semi-rural block, with a great view and lots of wildlife in the garden surrounding the house (wallabies, rabbits and birds). Lisa responded really quickly to any questions I had, and she had the front porch light fixed that wasn't working within an hour. The check-in / check-out process is super easy. Great value for money - loved it and was raving about it to my family and friends when I got back to Perth. Vicki

We have stayed at the Provider House twice now, with a car it is an easy drive in and out of Hobart. Always wonderful to return to the peace and quiet of Lenah Valley and this house. We have spent time in Japan and our stays here feel like a continuum of that experience. When visiting be sure to allocate time to actually enjoy the house, we loved it. J & M

We were satisfied with our three night stay here. Location was great, very close, walking distance to shops, chemist, restaurants. Easy walk into Salamanca and CBD. We did cook and found kitchen and dinning area very nice. Front and back gardens are cosy. Even though on main road, inside was quiet. Two Queen rooms are up stairs, with the twin room on the bottom floor where the entry, kitchen, dining, living room and bathroom is. The lounge area is comfortable with smart TV and good Wi-Fi. We used the washer and dryer and they worked well. Our only drawback was the art in the hallway, which we found dark. We know art is subjective so it’s understandable it doesn’t suit everyone’s taste. I hope they will take these comments with the kindness intended and maybe find something more neutral in subject.

We loved our stay in this house. The views from the balcony are beautiful and the home is spacious and clean. We used the kitchen and found it ideal to make a quick group meal. The beds were comfortable. This house is lovely to use as a base to explore Hobart. Andrew and Lisa are responsive hosts who made our stay very enjoyable - looking forward to our next Hobart stay!
