Monthly Rentals in Sábalo

Saballo Lodge is an incredible place, set in beautiful surroundings in the jungle with a river plunge swimming pool, where birds and lizards chill on the rocks next to you, it's own jetty and free boats for kayaking on the river Sierpe, hammock hut and lovely cabins. Fireflies light up the grounds at dusk as you walk to the on site restaurant for dinner. We stayed with a toddler and after a month in CR, this was by far the most beautiful place we stayed. Breakfast is provided and Angelica and Henri were massive helpful with getting tours booked up and sorting everything out, despite our halting Spanish. We went on a mangrove tour, saw crocs, squirrel monkeys and more birds than were in the guidebook. We also went on night tours and saw an Oncilla, Opposum and frogs, as well as crocs on the way to the waterfall. We went canoeing in the river with our daughter and saw monkeys up close. Whilst theres no aircon in the lodges, we didnt need it and were fine with just the fans.

Simone is a fantastic and caring host! She makes an amazing effort to ensure our stay was great. She cooked dinner for us and my kids said it was the best meal they had in Costa Rica. It's very interesting to hear about her knowledgeable perspective about Costa Rica given she is someone who genuinely loves the nature and area that surrounds her place. The place is much bigger than I had expected looking at photos and is surrounded by rich nature.

We left a piece of our heart at Finca Manglar. Such a magical place and such a warm welcome from Ruth, Raquel, Luis and Alonso. We hope to return one day. Thank you again and Pura Vida

The site is amazing, we are passionate about fauna and flora, we were spoiled. The scenery is fantastic and even with the tropical rain that welcomed us it allowed us to discover incredible frogs. Victor is a host of high human quality, a beautiful meeting! Go there without a second thought but open them when you arrive, you'll be subjugated! Pura vida
