Vacation rentals with a fireplace in River Dart

We had a great family stay at Huccaby Cottage. The location was perfect for days out and the added bonus of the indoor pool and play facilities was excellent! The cottage is great for little ones with everything you might need, stair gates, travel cots, high chair etc. The welcome hamper was very much appreciated after our journey on the motorway was very slow, the biscuits went down a treat! It was our first visit but certainly not our last, we’re already looking to book next year! Thank you for a fab weekend. X

This was the second time we have stayed and this time was as good as the first. We were met on arrival as before by Andy who is very hospitable. The accommodation was perfect for the two of us and our boxer dog. We will definitely be staying again in the future.

We had a fantastic week, the house was perfect for our family, the rooms were huge and the location and views were stunning. There's so many lovely places to visit within a short drive. I couldn't recommend the house and hosts highly enough.

The photos of this stay drew me in but don't do this place justice, this is a stunning place from the design of the space to the style inside. The hosts are very friendly and quick to reply. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to relax in a beautiful space!

We had a fantastic stay at Sharon’s lovely house. It was great staying in Kingswear, across the estuary from its busier neighbour Dartmouth and with the ferry between the two running regularly until almost 11pm, we felt we had the best of both worlds. We ate out in Dartmouth & Brixham, had some beautiful coastal walks, visited the friendly pubs in Kingswear and just enjoyed time relaxing in the comfortable house and admiring the wonderful views. It’s rare to find a place with 3 double beds and we really appreciated that. The beds themselves were comfy with lovely crisp bedlinen. A great holiday and a place I’d love to return to.

Wow. What a stunning place to stay Beautiful house. Amazing grounds and scenery. Pool tennis court and bar with games room was a great addition. Alistair was a fabulous host. Very friendly most informative and a genuinely nice guy. Would highly recommend the clay pigeon shoot on the lawn which Alistair organised. 10 out of 10 will definitely return in the near future. Thankyou Alistair for an awesome weekend!

A lovely little cottage in Brixham, a mile or so from the beautiful port. Cosy place with everything we needed for a couple of nights. Neighbours windows are facing so not very private, but we enjoyed it.

This is easily one of the best Airbnb’s I have ever stayed in. From the communications, to the home itself, it was amazing. The home is spacious, with large rooms, including the bedrooms and bathroom, it had absolutely everything in it you would have in Your own home. A lovely garden, although we were there in March so sitting outside was not an option You really couldn’t ask for any better holiday home, I would definitely book again next time I’m down I. We had a very enjoyable stay in this lovely flat. It was situated in an ideal location for both the Hoe/seafront and the city centre. The flat was well equipped and warm and the parking space was a real bonus. William was attentive , asking us if we had arrived safely and if everything was okay. He responded immediately when we had a minor problem. The welcome goodies were much appreciated. Thank you, we will be visiting again.

Well located for centre of town and also the hospitals. A really lovely comfortable well equipped and stylish apartment. Anna Lisa was very responsive to any queries responding straight away which was great .

We enjoyed a fantastic weekend at Jose’s apartment in Topsham. The central location was perfect for us, and it was well equipped with everything we needed for for our family of 3.

We had a lovely 2 night stay here whilst visiting family. Kerrie was a great host, very friendly and provided a lot of local info. The space is well thought out and is functional but also quirky. Will definitely stay at Kerrie’s place again. Thanks for a great stay 😊

Excellent accommodation, exactly as described and finished to a high specification. There is a garage to park in at the property but access is tight 6feet width! You would certainly struggle with a large car, we had a VW Golf and it was still quite tight. There is some free on street parking but this is rarely available. The property is a perfect location with a few minutes walk to the town, market and the sea front. Therefore there are several good restaurants, cafes, etc within easy reach. There are 26 steps from the street up to the door of the property and they are quite irregular. There are also steps between some rooms inside the property (2 flights of 3 steps and one single step down into the bedroom. Needs considerationvfor anyone with mobility problems. So overall, if you don’t mind the steps and a tight squeeze for your car (or no means of driving up to the property if you have a large car) then this is an excellent property to stay in. Highly recommended.

A really great value countryside escape for us! Would highly recommend to anyone with a child wanting a gateway to the moors, while enjoying a rustic countryside experience. The cottage is in a very peaceful location, with all amenities to ensure you don't need to make frequent trips out to buy food from a shop. Linda and Tim went the extra mile, and were very kind & friendly hosts. Wonderful all round!

Mary was very welcoming to us on our arrival. The flat itself is very comfortable and right next to the shops / cafes etc in Dawlish. Very well equipped with everything you need for a lovely stay. We were on a family visit, but if you are looking for a holiday Dawlish is ideal and relatively unspoilt compared to other coastal towns. Lots of shops to explore, and of course the famous Gay's Creamery is here too (an absolute must-visit!)

Loved the house, we stayed for Christmas it was perfect for our needs. The host had put up a beautiful Christmas tree for us. It was super Christmassy and a short walk into town for the lights and a few drinks in the pub. The house was warm, clean and the host was welcoming - we were so happy with everything! We had a perfect family Christmas all together with lots of space. The house is decorated querky and interesting - we loved it.

Richard's place is beautiful and the photos don't do it justice. The house is tastefully decorated, very roomy and has everything you need. It's in a picturesque location; sundowners in the garden watching the sunset over the Exe was particularly memorable and Topsham has loads of great places to eat and cool shops. Richard was a great host who communicated in a clear, friendly and timely manner.

We had a wonderful stay, the views and surrounding area are stunning. The house had everything we needed for a relaxing short break in the sunshine, wish we could have stayed longer - perhaps next year as would love a return visit! Thanks

We had a wonderful stay at Coombe Villa. Simon and Charlie were so helpful and responsive. They really went over and above to help us and provide anything that we needed. The house is great and so well equipped with everything that you could need. We travelled with two very young children and it was ideal - everything very easy and cots, blackout blinds and more were provided. The house is spotless and so well designed. It’s within easy walking distance of lots of amenities and the guidebook provided by the hosts was so helpful. We would highly recommend this thank you for such a great stay!

Simply outstanding, The new benchmark property that will blow you away and exceed all your expectations. The ultimate retreat. Thank you David and Stella you were absolutely fab.

Very friendly and great communication. Spacious bedrooms that are clean and tidy and are well glazed to minimise traffic noise from the main road. The property is situated near loads of amenities in Plymouth and was easy and quick to get to. The views from the rooms were lovely, tranquil and ever changing with the tide and weather. Just be mindful that to get those views there are loads of steps! There are binoculars in the main bedroom to spot wildlife when the tide is out. There aren’t any bins in the bedrooms or bathroom so had to use my dogs unused poo bags so be prepared. There is a lay-by for locals parking (3 cars) which is straight off the busy main road. I couldn’t park at the back of the property as my SUV was too big to get the right angle to park (as it’s a fairly busy narrow lane) so if you have a small-ish car you’ll be fine. Overall a lovely bungalow to base yourself in Plymouth but just be prepared for the steps and parking.

Amazing location with stunning views and great property that is ideal for a large family gathering! The garden was the star for us and our four legged friends - we all really enjoyed the space and privacy. 👌We had a family ‘Sports day’ one day for all twelve of us and there was more than enough room. The house itself has everything you need for a relaxing stay and there are loads of really good places to visit and eat at - some great pubs and we’d really recommend the vineyard five minutes down the road for a tour! (@Swanaford Vineyard). Some of the local roads are a little tight for space - one car only but if you go slowly and be respectful of other road users it’s fine. We also tried some local golf courses, Teign Valley the closest, all gave some good challenges but are also really well looked after. We also had a private chef one night (@LeFrog) which made for a very special anniversary celebration. Would highly recommend if you are a large group booking the whole place.
