Big favorites for this ancestral building❤️ A unique and warm place to discover. The bedding, towels, and places are very clean. We had a lovely stay with the family at this beautiful home.

My sister, our four kids, and I had a wonderful stay in Quebec! The home is very comfortable, spacious, and ideal. We were in walking distance to a food store and were able to make several lovely meals in the well-equipped kitchen. It is also conveniently located near the bus stop, which dropped us right into old Quebec. The hosts were responsive, accommodating, and provided timely information. I really appreciated the thoughtful recommendations for local spots. We enjoyed our stay very much and made many happy family memories! Merci!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Paradis! We felt at home here in this welcoming cottage with the wonderful view. Minette is a sweet loving little girl- she stole our hearts from the get-go. We hiked many trails in Jacques Cartiers National Park, we walked the ancient forest trail at Mont Wright Park, kayaked in Marais de Nord, and spent 2 days at home puttering, cooking, and admiring the view of the river. Dave was a great host. Super responsive and proactive. The house was spacious, clean and located in a beautiful neighborhood. We called him to check the hot tub and he even brought us donuts! Great experience overall! Merci Dave!

We had a great time! The accommodation was impeccable and very well-equipped. Richard came to show up when we arrived, a very nice gesture!Very quiet environment, guaranteed change of scenery. Very good bedding as well. I would highly recommend it!

Spacious, comfortable, bright house. You quickly feel at home and it's perfect for groups. Several touches were appreciated: even toothbrushes! Nice board game closet on site. As this is a pet-friendly home, expect some hair and pay attention if there are any allergies in your group.

Great place for an overnight stop on our road trip. A short distance from the highway. Downstairs beautifully renovated. Upstairs less updated, but clean and comfortable. Note - the one bathroom is on the main floor, apart from the bedrooms. Consider yourself warned if you make frequent nighttime bathroom trips.

We had a pleasant stay with the family! Everyone found what they were looking for! The immediate environment is quiet and rural. Geneviève was a great help when we needed her, even on New Year's Eve!

Well-equipped, clean, and accessible host home

If you book it you won’t regret it!

Our visit was superb! We only stayed to rest and due to the weather conditions, we stayed inside. For New Year's Day, there were fireworks behind the cottage which was great, we loved it. The kitchen is very well equipped. It was easy to communicate with the host. We would highly recommend it.

We were looking for a refuge by the river to get away from our daily lives and that's exactly what The Captaincy gave us: a house of yesteryear in all its splendor and charm with everything you might need during your stay!

Beautiful home with lovely backyard in a nice neighbourhood. We had 4 couples in the house. The kitchen was well stocked with enough settings, glasses, pot, pans, bowls etc that we were able to make meals for our group. Very comfortable beds in good sized bedrooms. Would definitely come back to Edouard's house if travelling with a group to Quebec City.

Great accommodation and hosting!

Everything was perfect at Chalet le Shack! The space was exactly what we needed, the kitchen is well equipped, and very nice bathrooms with lots of towels! The location cannot be beat if you’re coming to cross country ski. Quick access to groceries and restaurants. We hope to come back again next winter!

As mentioned earlier, the place was lovely. The view of the river was breathtaking. The house was also beautiful... warm and cozy. I've never rented an Airbnb with so many services offered...coffees, accessories...entertainment options. Jean-Luc was proactive and responsive to our questions. Plus, we were even offered a welcome gift. I would recommend this place without hesitation for people who want to escape from the city and enjoy a magical and welcoming place.
