James’ place is a hidden gem perched on a secluded hillside with breathtaking sea views. If you’re looking for peace, this is the perfect spot. From morning birdsong to lizards running around,stunning nighttime views from the pool, it far surpasses any city hotel. James is warm, friendly, and always available he’s tall and hard to miss! He responds quickly and lives next door with his family, adding a welcoming local touch. The location is convenient, with major restaurants a short drive away. A pizza spot and a French restaurant are within walking distance. The home is well-equipped, with great A/C, a spacious bathroom, and perfect water pressure. If you plan to cook, bring groceries—only salt, pepper, and sugar are provided. A few notes: the TV isn’t high-tech but has Netflix. Bring an international adapter, though James has one. The locks take some getting used to, and the gate can be tricky. Overall, one of my best Airbnb stays tranquil, scenic, and truly welcoming!

Cathy’s studio was perfect. I was a solo traveler, however the space would be great for a couple also. It is in a quiet neighborhood over the hill, so if you want peaceful surroundings this is the place. You will need a car as it is away from the Maho and Simpson Bay area where most of the nightlife is. SXM is a small island so you can be at any location in 15-20 min. Cathy gives perfect instructions on how to find here studio. Be ready for the incredible view as you come over the hill and down into Guana Bay. There was some bread, juice, cheese, and some fruit in the refrigerator upon arrival. That was nice to have to have a snack before going to the grocery store. AC worked wonderfully the entire trip. I really enjoyed the screened porch where I could sit and smoke a cigar. The dog on the property is adorable and will come to the screen door and say hello. I would absolutely stay at Cathy’s place again in a heartbeat. Don’t hesitate! Can’t beat the value!!!!
