Villa vacation rentals in Puttalam

We enjoyed spending two days in this beautiful place, as well as the welcome that was made. Just as we greatly appreciated the region and the incredible kindness of its people to us. The place had probably not been occupied for some time, hence a few small early season adjustments (broken guitar strings, not very clean pool and other small details) which does not stop us from recommending this place and wishing Kamal and his successful team.

The place was excellent as advertised. The staff made our stay even better always keeping us fed with excellent food and mid day juices.

Well, what can I say. Rarely pictures lie in the "wrong" direction, meaning that everything was even much more grand and beautiful than in the pictures. I loved the architecture and the wood works. Area is wonderful, peaceful, you can watch fishermen doing their daily work. People are really friendly. Everything worked. Gym was a nice plus, could easily do the whole workout there. Special thanks to Sam the man, he took great care of us and the house. He arranged trips, chef, massage, we even got to see some shrimp harvesting. If you want total relaxation in a beautiful serene environment, this is the place.

Great location on a smaller lagoon in the Kalpitiya area. Kite surfing option right next door, but in a nice quiet area. No swimming in the beach, but the pool was lovely. We went out on the kayaks each day, and spent hours in the lovely garden. Great option for family, or even two travelling together.

It’s a shame we couldn’t stay longer since Martin’a place was a delight - the location, pool, and rooms were exactly what we wanted and his team provided incredible service and delicious meals. We would return in a heartbeat - thank you!

There are no words to describe the amazing experience we had. If you are looking for a 6* accomodation with delightful cousine, this is the place! Ms Visaka with Shiromi, Madhu and Achini will stay in our heart. Our kids are missing them a lot. We spent a month there hopefuly one day we will be back.

We had a fantastic 6 night stay at Sharmini’s villa. My husband and I were travelling with our 9 month old, 3 year old and in-laws, and Sharmini’s staff could not have made us feel any more welcome. They really wanted to ensure we had a lovely stay, cooking wonderful meals(chef is included and you just pay for ingredients), helping us organise a safari trip and day trip to Anuradhapura. The villa itself is located in beautiful surroundings, it was wonderful having such wildlife on the doorstep! We went on a boat trip one evening and saw a wild elephant. Bedrooms all have A/C and splash pools on balconies. Highly recommend a stay!

Wonderful place to start and/or end your trip to Sri Lanka. Don will pick you up from Colombo airport (about an hour and 15 minutes ride) and he's a safe driver. The villa lies in a rural area, very green and nice & quiet. Don is super friendly, helpful and a good laugh. We've had more than one lovely meal here. Also a 'high' tea in the watch tower overlooking the sunset over the rice fields. Bicycles are at your disposal to explore the surrounding area. Communication went very easy and Don reacts quickly to all your messages. All in all, staying here was a great experience and we highly recommend it!

It was an original cottage, nicely prepared for guests, we had privacy and in the morning we could swim in a nice pool. Nice !
