Had just spent 3 week hiking 3 great walks and booked Ian place to relax for a couple of days at the end of our holiday . His place met the brief ; peaceful, comfortable, lake views , perfect .

Best Airbnb either of us have ever stayed in, in our extensive travels. We are still in disbelief of this home. If you have the chance to stay, do it. We had hesitated to book because there’s so much to do along the South Island, but now we know that this home is worth making the special visit. We will not be forgetting the serenity and beauty of Fallow Ridge: the uninterrupted panoramic view of sheep-dotted mountainside, the warm bath overlooking the sunset, the beautiful fog rolling in and out around the house. We walked along the road and down to the river and never actually went back down into town in our two nights because the property was just too awesome to leave; we recommend you arrive with some groceries as we did, in case you feel the same! The thoughtful details from our hosts made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We were glad to meet David out on a walk and we regret to have not met Sarah, who we wish to also sincerely thank for such a lovely stay!

The photos do not fully reflect how bright and cheerful, clean and up-to-date the cottage is. Duncan was incredibly responsive and justifiably proud of what he did in renovating/remodeling this home. Clean, bright, quiet - perfect for my wife's and my enjoyment. Out the window are sheep, cows, seagulls, and rabbits (despised by farmers, but appealing to us tourists.) Duncan made me a map of dozens of prime fishing spots in advance, offered advice quickly whenever asked, and simply could not have been a better host. We've already reserved for next year!

This house was perfect for our short stop in Dunedin on our way to the Fjordlands. Really quiet and comfy, and really well equipped for cooking. Julie was a great host who enabled a trouble free access to the house and great accomodation.

Really found this wonderful place a perfect match for our needs. Very well appointed and it was warm and cosy. I would highly recommend this Airbnb to all. Also the local restaurant Ziffs had great food and a friendly service. Golf club 3 mins a2ay. What more can you ask for.

Attractive bach good decor. Bed very comfortable, best we’ve had in 2 months travelling. Covered outdoor deck was sheltered and great to have Bbq. Excellent shower. Would definitely stay again. Bonnie communicated well.

Very nice, clean place with updated amenities and nice seating area on back patio. Parking was easy and Jenny explained things very well and was a a great communicator. Only stayed 2 nights and gladly would have stayed longer as it was so nice.
