Vacation rentals with lake access in Puntarenas Province

This place was beyond amazing! The house was perfect, but the staff that helped was what made the trip truly exceptional. Vincente spent several months helping me plan every detail, from arranging rides, activities and even booking dinner reservations. The house was kept clean with a housekeeper that came in during the day while we were gone. Laundry was done for us. We also arranged for the chef Ana and her mom Guieslle to come in for breakfasts and a few dinners. Each meal so so beautifully prepared, light fresh and local ingredients. They took the time to make it an experience every time. They also cleaned up and it was such a nice treat to be able to relax. We wanted to surprise one of our daughters with an early birthday surprise that the team helped to arrange and keep secret for us. I couldn’t imagine having a better experience.

We had a great time here with my kids and mother. Loved seeing the scarlet macaws in the trees around sunset. The nearby beach is also beautiful.

The house is very well distributed, beautifully decorated, and well equipped with everything you may need to enjoy your stay. Paula is a SUPER host by all means! Proactive with instructions, things to do, recommendations, and making you feel comfortable and welcomed. The lights were on, and background music was playing as we first entered the front door! I highly recommend the property, and Paula as a host. Thank you for the hospitality!

Incredibly beautiful location that was always available to help us with anything we needed or asking questions. The location was breathtakingly beautiful. I would unquestionably suggest this area to anyone considering relocating. It has a really welcoming atmosphere, is close to all the eateries and the beach, and offers breathtaking views and wildlife in the center of the forest. It was simply incredible. Thank you to Alvaro and Sophia for memorable and spectacular vacation definitely will be back !!!

We have stayed in Airbnb’s all over Costa Rica! This place was one of our favorites! We loved everything about it! Especially the fresh eggs in the morning! The chickens and bunnies! This place was perfect! We will most likely be staying here yearly!! Perfect place to stay while visiting volcanos or the cloud forest! We can’t wait to go back! It’s a perfect family rental! Stop looking and book!!!

Elizabeth and Michael were incredibly hospitable hosts. They made our stay amazing, including celebrating my birthday and allowing my husband to commandeer the kitchen for the evening. We enjoyed their beautiful home and seeing dom pepe 🐊 each morning at breakfast. It’s truly a special place to stay with hosts that remind you of what Airbnb was originally supposed to be.

This mountaintop Airbnb made for an unforgettable first trip to Costa Rica. It is very secluded and the sounds of nature made it very peaceful. The ocean views from the infinity pool were incredible. We agree with the previous reviews that the photos can’t capture the serenity of this Airbnb. Cecile and her husband (owners) were residing in their house on the property during our stay and were extremely friendly and accommodating. The drive up and down is an adventure (that we really enjoyed!) Cecile includes very helpful instructions with photos to find it. A 4x4 car is an absolute necessity to get around in the Ojochal/Uvita area. There is so much to do nearby including lots of waterfalls (three of the four we visited were just a 2-minute walk to get to them!), guided night hiking, a day trip to Corcovado National Park, zip lines, etc. There are lots of yummy restaurants nearby and the kitchen has cooking essentials so we cooked for ourselves several times. We can’t wait to come back!

We absolutely loved Carlos's place. Carlos and his parents are lovely! There are many nice vacation rentals around PJ, but only a handful that feel like home right when you walk in. We couldn't get over how comfortable we felt there right off the bat. We missed the perfect outdoor living space at this house after moving to a different vacation rental, the benches, hammock, and hanging bench made the perfect space for reading and lounging. The neighborhood is so private and quiet, we totally loved coming back from our excursions to such peace. The garden is immaculate! We saw squirrel monkeys and iguanas twice and many hummingbirds and butterflies every day. This would be a perfect place for kids too, the pool and the trampoline are very fun!! They even have a great playground. Both bedrooms are private from each other on opposite ends of the house- which is luxurious compared to many similar rentals in CR. All in all we loved it and would return! Book it now!

This location is spectacular! You're basically perched on the side of a mountain with amazing views both from inside and from outside on the wrap-around balcony. The house has a great open concept that feels spacious and airy. It's all new and well-designed and included everything I needed for a 10-day stay, working remotely. The walk into Capellades took about 20 minutes. And walking to Pacayas was 40-45 minutes. The people in the area are extremely friendly. Cristian was a fantastic host and a new friend now. He consistently went above and beyond what would be expected and was a joy to interact with. Make sure you check out the fruit and vegetable stand in town... run by a wonderful local family.

What a great location and atmosphere and the Studio and garden is perfect with all necesities for a true beachfront vacation .. Definitely one of our best stays in Costa Rica. Sonny and Rita are the nicest most welcoming people! We will be back again as their Airbnb is a mew destination for us!!

It is a very healthy area, easily moves where you want to go and everything is within reach, restaurant and shops in general

I stayed at Manu’s jungle loft for 3 weeks and had a wonderful time. The space is comfortable and rustic, with wonderful views and a very comfortable bed. The beaches nearby are some of the best in the world, and it’s very easy to walk to nearby restaurants or grab a TukTuk any time. Manu and Lucas were kind and gracious hosts. I hope to stay again!

Very comfortable location with a lot of accessibility to do different activities and rest. The possibility of using the kayak and paddle board is very advantageous given how close the lake is where you can take advantage

One of the cleanest most well appointed airbnbs ive ever stayed in. So well stocked with appliances for everything you could need. And fast wifi, right on the beach. Great gym and pool

This is a cute little apartment within a « country club » type gated community. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and there are swimming pools, tennis court, soccer field, gym, co-working space, and even a restaurant. The apartment is well equipped and has good internet access. It is comfortable and the location is great. We didn’t rent a car so we used Uber to get around. There’s a small grocery store across from the condominium. Agustin, the co-host, was very responsive and when I reported that the water heater was not working, he had it replaced the next day. He made sure our stay was pleasant. We hope to be back!

Gissel's house is a cute jungle home! The green yard in the front is super peaceful and the front patio is an awesome place to hang out during any time of the day. It's also well located just a minute away from the Costanera so you can easily access Uvita or Domi when needed.

Good value, nice well maintained clean house with an electric gate, perimeter fence and multiple security cameras. Nice sheltered outdoor areas for sitting and dining on a rainy day. There is a river and mountain with tropical forest rising up behind the house. Old style electric shower head. It can be quite hot if you keep the flow of water low. Nice screened windows for good cross ventilation. Quite cool at night so no need for AC. Spent one morning at Blue Falls which was truly amazing. The kitchen had all the necessary utensils, air fryer, microwave and outdoor grill. Ran out of propane for the stove but Daniela sent over a full tank within an hour.

We came pretty late, the last 50 meters is necessary drive very slowly, but the place itself simply famous. No neighbours, beautiful terraces, tiny but wery comfy. It is such an special place, really quite, with special vibe. No matter how far it seems to be from the village.

It is an environment that I have rarely had the opportunity to live, an unexplained peace, a super natural environment, it is like having your own land and ranch, you can go out in the morning to see the birds, the squirrels, the frogs, I recommend you get up early so as not to miss that moment, also has several very parenting board games, all were super cute in the super when they knew that we were staying there and they helped us with references, the people are very friendly but the best is the owner, he helped us too and was very attentive! He recommended us to go to the Río Cuarto, he was very godfather!

Sabrina & Edu couldn’t have been better hosts! Their “end of the world” paradise is quiet & peaceful. Their home cooked meals were delicious & plentiful. The bungalows had thick netting so we could feel the cool night air as we slept. It was fabulous to wake up to all of the birdsongs every morning, They made a special effort to show us birds & animals. We really enjoyed the use of their boat to explore the River where their diverse ecosystem shines in the jungle. We also liked taking the boat on the lagoon to the beach. If you want a quiet and peaceful getaway, this is the place. However, Sabrina is happy to help you with any tours (and there are quite a few to choose from). We will always treasure our time here. :)

This was our family’s 5th trip to Pavones . We like to try different places and locations . Giselle’s home was beautiful , spacious and very comfortable. We had a smaller group and it didn’t feel overwhelming as it’s a big place . Outdoor spaces were amazing , and a quick walk to essentially a private beach . (Only saw 1 person over 8 days ) a short walk to La Pina restaurant for a pizza or dinner and only 3-5 minutes from various spots near Pavones point. I will say this was perhaps the most well equipped kitchen and linens we have experienced yet . Oliver the caretaker was quite helpful and his English is fair . Overall a very positive experience.
