The best way to describe this property is “We did not want to leave”. Everything was outstanding. From the communication, check in and instructions. The interior of the property was spacious and beautiful. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and we got a great nights sleep. The amenities were awesome and the extras went above and beyond expectations. Coffee, snacks, and breakfast were amazing. We cannot say enough about the views from outside the property. We were sad to leave and will definitely stay here again if our travels take us here. Matera is Magical.

How often do you get to stay in a cave from the Paleolithic/Neolithic era? Well that is exactly what you get here. The cave has been beautifully and sympathetically brought into the modern era. Carlo was exeptionally helpful and informative on all aspects of the property and gave us some great tips on restaurants, guides and taxi services. Matera itself is an amazing place and without doubt you should stay in a cave, rather than in the new part of the city. The only slight issue we had was finding the location; however, this is a google maps issue and not the fault of Carlo. All in all, a wonderful stay that is highly recommended.
