This is my third time staying in this apartment and it continues to be a super 5-star service.

The accommodation is in a converted granary, which has been beautifully restored. Bedroom and bathroom are simple but functional; the photos don't do the living space justice. It is a peaceful setting in leafy grounds. Pool was closed for the season during our stay but there is a pretty courtyard area which is a sun trap. We loved being able to walk (uphill on a rough track, about 20 minutes) into Trevi for drinks at Bar Roma and excellent food at the handful of restaurants in the hill town. Bring a decent torch if walking up and down after dark! Giuseppe was a charming and helpful host who gave us lots of advice and recommendations for eating out and excursions. We borrowed bikes and cycled to Bevagna along a former rail line for lunch (about an hour each way, flat). Trevi is a perfect base for visiting Umbria. Mosquito screens would have been appreciated in the bedroom but otherwise hard to find fault.

I’m glad I have the opportunity to elaborate on my previous short answers. La Casetta is a magical stone house in the charming and romantic village of Collecchio. Carolyn responded immediately to my questions after booking and accommodated my somewhat chaotic arrival schedule. Throughout my too short stay, she checked in regularly to make sure all was well. The kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials, she gladly added a second bed for an overnight guest, and even encouraged me to use the washing machine if needed. The space was cool and pleasant snd quiet. I wish I could’ve stayed a bit longer than my tbree nights!
