House vacation rentals in Paraparaumu

We had a lovely 4 night stay. The hosts have exquisite taste, the furniture and styling is unique, and makes this property feel like a home, and not some generic airbnb. The outdoor area is obviously a highlight, the pool got a lot of use, the kids absolutely loved it. Also the sauna was a real treat too. The indoor/outdoor flow was great, and created a wonderful relaxed atmosphere. The playground was just across the road, and the beach a 5 min walk. Thanks for having us, we will definitely be keen to return.

What a beautiful space to call home for a long weekend. We felt right at home from the minute we walked in the door. The house spotless, very organised and Louise even had fresh milk, bread and condiments in the fridge for us. Last minute the event we were in Wellington for was postponed a day and Louise was really quick to assist us in staying one extra night. I would highly recommend staying in her house, it’s in the most quiet peaceful setting surrounded by native bush and is handy to shops, restaurants and some beautiful hikes.

I had a wonderful stay at this property. It was very clean and tidy, and the swimming pool was well-kept. The location is great for activities like cycling and fishing. The only issue was the door code didn’t work initially, but Airbnb provided a new one promptly.

Kelvin is the best host you can ever find. He goes out of his way to make sure we are properly settled in every aspect. The house is modern and well maintained. And amenities are as good as being at home, perhaps better in many aspects. Close to the town, close to all the retreats at the gorge, and the river is at a stone throw distance. There is actually a fresh water pool within the property, water sourced form the Otaki river. So its like swimming in river water, just in the front yard.

A fantastic home to relax by the pool and enjoy the sun. Great outdoor space and plenty of room in each bedroom. We were very comfortable here and would recommend Dianne’s home to others!

The house was absolutely gorgeous and very spacious. It was perfect for a large group of us heading to event. We would all like to come back and extend our stay longer next time 😊

A lovely property for our whole family with plenty of space and activities to keep everyone happy. We’ll definitely be back - it was well worth the cost and the owners/carers are helpful and friendly. A great location in both sunny and wet weather conditions.

Great house in a beautiful location. Excellent amenities, beautiful design, perfect for travelling with pups. A few notes: - The # of steps up to the unit might be underestimated by a factor of ~5. Not recommended unless you're reasonably fit. - The bedroom doors don't latch. There are hook-style locks provided....on the outside of the door. Not a huge deal, just means you need to shove something under the door if you want to keep the dogs from nosing their way in. - The water from the tap gets _really_ hot. This is great for some things (shaving) and less great for others (shower, dishwashing) Overall an excellent spot!

The place was fantastic for our group, large and open downstairs area made it easily accomodate us with additional covered outside space. Bedrooms and bathrooms all great sizes.

We had a fantastic stay and were made to feel very welcome with wine and chocolate upon arrival, a lovely surprise. Easy communication with host. A clean, comfortable and homely batch with all the necessary amenities. Felt very private and safe with a great sized garden to relax in. Perfect for our weekend away by the beach. This is the 2nd time we stayed here and this house has one of the best views of any place we stayed at. Love the proximity to everything. The decor of the place and tranquility. House has everything you need. The driveway up to the house is very steep (even though I lived in San Francisco and should be used to it) so just be prepared to have a confident driver(it wasn't me:). Wellington driveways are like this generally though. We will come again!

We have stayed at numerous places during our 3-week trip in New Zealand and Wicky's was by far at the top. It was extremely clean, had everything we needed (including plenty of soft towels and wash cloths) and had labels on many things which was super helpful. Wicky was very responsive when we had questions and was very accommodating with a couple of requests we had. We had friends in Upper Hutt so didn't spend a lot of time at the house, but almost wished we could have. It had plenty of space for our family of 4. I highly recommend this house for anyone looking in Lower Hutt.

Very comfortable, immaculate & quiet with all ameneties & a well equipped kitchen, plenty of towels etc. Great value.

Our stay at Birdsong cottage was perfect - clean and tidy cottage within a forest like garden. Birds were singing in the morning too which added to the name of the cottage. Location was great, less than 10km drive to the Rose & Smith venue which we were attending a wedding at so distance was perfect. Peter & Lynda are also super responsive and helpful. The place was cozy and comfy, especially with the spa pool as well. Can highly recommend and will definitely stay here again next time we stay in Featherston.

Great location, tidy home, friendly host! Highly recommend and would stay again. Only thing to note is that if you have a small dog who likes to explore, there are several places your doggo might be able to get through the fence, if they are small.

Beautiful spacious home which was perfect for our needs. Great family home with plenty of space both inside and outside with fully equipped kitchen. Stones throw to the train station so easy to get in and out of Wellington. Close to Petone where there are plenty of bars and restaurants. Highly recommend it.

My husband and I loved this place! Hands down the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in and that is saying a lot. We took the bus to go downtown which was easy and inexpensive. We walked in the native gardens right next to the property. We walked to the grocery. Even though we had a car we never needed it. The porch was our favorite place and we sat and watched the birds. So peaceful and seemed worlds away from the city. Highly recommend this beautiful home and grounds.

Dee was a wonderful host and her home was the perfect base for our event in Trentham: clean, comfortable and warm, especially given Wellington’s crazy weather! Really appreciated having our dog stay and the secure yard made life easy. Thanks so much
