Monthly Rentals in Ozu, Kikuchi District

The place is easy to find and the parking is easy (just in front of the house). The kitchen was well-equipped and we enjoyed a nice self-made dinner. It could be a bit chilly at night when using washroom, but the heater could help. Overall it is a wonderful place to stay.

This hidden gem is full of beautiful surprises! The chalet perfectly balances modern and traditional comforts, making us feel as if we were living in the Edo period. Our one-night stay left us wishing for a couple more days to fully experience everything it has to offer. Matt and staff were incredible hosts, providing fascinating history lessons about the artifacts on the property. I highly recommend this place—it's even more stunning in person than in the pictures. Definitely worth a visit!

I had a very enjoyable stay in Kumamoto! Yukiko was a very kind and friendly host. She didn’t hesitate to assist me with any questions I had, and she always made sure that I was comfortable. The location with a view of Mt. Aso, fully equipped with futons, dishes, furniture, etc. made for a comfortable stay! When heading to the local area, please note that depending on the route, it will take you through a very narrow road next to the waterway.
