An absolutely charming property, surpassed only by the beauty of its location. Wonderful hosts, thoughtful, personable and welcoming. I honestly couldn't fault my stay there. I will definitely return. Truly wonderful.

Nadene and Darren's place is absolutely amazing. Away from everything in the woods surrounded by nature, this place is bliss. The property has 12 individual rooms, 2 large shared kitchens and bathrooms, an amazing spacious seating area overlooking the forest, and a balcony. There are many books available and some board games, so there's something for everyone. You can stay here with a large group but we were lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves. The place is close to the lake where you can go canoeing or kayaking, and all the gear is provided. There is also a nice seating area outside for campfires, and / or you can just go for a little hike. Nadene prepares a great breakfast with homemade muffins 😋. Both her and Darren are lovely people, very caring, beautiful souls. I would highly recommend staying here.

Darren and Nadene provided me with exactly what I needed! A gorgeous place with so much peace and quiet! Nadene made me breakfast in the morning which was such a lovely time to enjoy a bite to eat and great company! I’ll be back!

Staying at Cedarhaus was a unique experience! Daryl and Louisa have thought of every detail to make their guests comfortable. The communal living and kitchen area is lovely and functional. A variety of quality, fresh, nutritious and delicious breakfast foods were there to choose from and prepare. Other personalized touches are everywhere, including the quality linens and beautiful decor of the private bedroom area. We spent the beginning and end of our days on the dock by the lovely little lake, which could also be explored using the boating options provided, as well as swimming, or just gazing out at the lake, cliffs and tress. I do hope to stay a Cedarhaus again!

Carole was very accommodating allowing us to check in early, place looked as it did in pictures. Would recommend to friends and would gladly stay again.

Sarah’s cabin was beautiful. We had absolutely everything we needed. The massage chair was a hit with everyone. We were very thankful for the variety of options she provided on tv (Netflix, Disney, etc). It was pretty warm, for Canada, this week so the kids did not want to be in the boat all day every day. It was nice having options for them to watch movies in the heat of the day. We were also grateful for the paddle boat, kayaks, and paddle boards. Everyone had something to do on the water. Sarah was very responsive to any questions we had and was so helpful! Thank you for a wonderful place to stay!

From US, did not know it was Thanksgiving holiday. Algonquin sold out. Very gracious hosts. Lovely town and close enough to Algonquin. Accommodations were extremely comfortable and very clean. Hosts were very helpful with advice for local opportunities for adventure.

My fiancé and I had excellent 2 night stay in the Bunk3 room above the Tavern at BongoPix. The room as well appointed with everything that you may need. It was clean, comfortable and exactly as described in the listing. We went down to the Tavern and enjoyed the live music and karaoke on a Saturday night and the atmosphere was festive and fun!! Bongo and Andrea are fun and friendly. We have stayed twice now and find Camp BongoPix to be a relaxing and chill place. Its close proximity to the East Gate of Algonquin Park (that is the most alluring part for us) and laid back ambience make this a convenient and enjoyable place to stay. We will go back asap!

We had such a great time staying with Christina. Beautiful location, everything we needed was there and ready for us. Christina made sure we were very well taken care of. If there was anything we needed she was there for us. Water was beautiful with a sandy bottom. Would definitely recommend staying with Christina.

My partner and I stayed at the Mountain View Lodge to celebrate our anniversary - our hosts were incredibly accommodating and friendly! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we felt that this was a family establishment that truly cares about their guests. The food was incredible, the place was clean, the views were breathtaking and we were so happily surprised to see that they were not only accommodating their guests but to any furry friend that came along to stay. We fiercely recommend anyone to stay there and the experience was only made better by their lovable pup Betty who wrapped up the experience to being 10/10! We will definitely be returning for future vacations! Special thanks to Karen Ann for her friendly and accommodating nature and for giving us so many options of activities to do both at the lodge and in the city :)

Well worth the 5 hour drive from Toronto just after red squirrel lake ( tip : the center road line doesn't disconnect so after you see the smooth water sign the road entrance is a sharp turn ahead just slow down you won't miss it) , clean cozy room for spending the night, you will have your private bathroom along with warm shower and a stove and sink and anything you might need for cooking, ceiling fan for warmer nights , Johanna and Francis are the most knowledgeable hosts and most helpful , unfortunately we never got to try the food , will be back for autumn. Make sure if you are there for summer you grab a canoe the night before and explore the lake early morning, don't forget to explore around the abandoned Iron ore mine on the south side of the Lake.

One of the best places you can choose to stay while you’re on the island. Christina is a wonderful host. The place is absolutely gorgeous with lots to do, it’s completely private and quiet. You would never imagine how quiet your mornings could be until you visit the island and stay here. The cabins were filled with all the basic amenities you’d need. There were plenty of boats and life jackets which you can use whenever. Huge pile of firewood and a fire pit to light a fire as well. Very close to all the tourism locations and it’s located right in the centre of the island. All in all, if you’re on the island, this is the best place to stay.

This was our 3rd time visiting Bongopix Tavern, but first time staying in upstairs room. Bongo is an amazing host He provided us with clear instructions before our arrival . We stayed during New Year, thanks to Bongos advice we were well prepared. The room ,and washroom was very clean. Had everything we needed for our stay. Inc small BBQ for a quick meal. The location is perfect. We went hiking in Alqonquin Park. The best part was the New Year celebration in Bongopix Tavern. We highly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for quiet, simple room with beautiful surroundings. Bongo and Andrea thank you for sharing your beautiful place with us

We had a fantastic time staying at this cabin! The location was perfect—close to a beautiful lake and just a few minutes away from a charming small town with amazing stores. I was initially worried because it was a cold day, but the room was wonderfully warm. The fireplace and heater worked perfectly, making our stay so cozy. The cabin was also spotless, well-furnished, and incredibly comfortable. We ran into a bit of trouble using the BBQ as we weren’t sure how to operate it. However, when we contacted the staff, they were incredibly kind and came by multiple times to help us out, always with a great attitude. The snow had piled up around the cabin, creating a breathtakingly beautiful landscape. The lake was just a 2-minute walk away and absolutely stunning as well. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and can’t wait to return! My friends also had an amazing time. Thank you for making our visit so memorable!
