Spent 4 nights at the cottage with a family of 5. Harsh was very responsive to all communication prior/during/post stay. The cottage was well located for those seeking peace and quiet. Hot tub worked well. The cottage was well supplied, we did not lack anything. A nice surprise bottle of wine was offered and appreciated. Internet connection was fast, electric and wood fireplaces add a nice ambiance and warmth to the cottage. Overall, great stay for a family of 5, would fit 6 maximum. Highly recommend for those travelling to the area for some R&R and/or small family getaway in nature.

Family and I did a Winter Getaway where we wanted peace and tranquility. Kevin's place is an all year place where you can find what you need or go to any time of the year. For our family it was so beautiful to chill out at the hot tub or playing games looking out on the (frozen) lake. When we first arrived we were greeted by Kevin and the reception we got from him was heartwarming. Kevin is a person who takes pride of his homes. Kevin's images on the website are true and beyond when you are staying there. A hidden gem. Really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to return. Sharon H.

we came to the area for skiing at Sir Sam's, so everyone loved the hot tub after skiing. It worked well and having right on the deck was perfect. The fireplace was really appreciated as there were a couple of really cold days. The kitchen was well stocked which is helpful as we cooked all the meals at the house. The living room furniture was comfortable especially seated around the fireplace. Having the extra sleeping space and bathroom in the bunkie worked well for us. We think it would be great to book the cottage sometime in the summer.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful cottage! The space was incredibly clean and well-maintained, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The host was very responsive and ensured we had everything we needed. The cottage is spacious, offering plenty of indoor and outdoor activities for everyone. We enjoyed the cozy interiors, as well as the outdoor adventures. The location is perfect—just a 20-minute drive to the ski hill and only 5 minutes to Haliburton village. Highly recommend this peaceful getaway for anyone looking to relax and explore!

I rented Kieran and Tara's coach house for a weekend of relaxing and reading by the fire with some girlfriends. This cottage was absolutely perfect! It is tastefully decorated, cozy, and private. Communication with the hosts was excellent. They provided us with local suggestions and easy check-in/check-out instructions, and answered our questions in a timely manner. The location was also excellent providing ample privacy while being a 5-minute drive from downtown Cobourg. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this chat to a small group or family.

Our group of friends had an absolutely amazing time at Jess and Jay’s cottage. Not only was everything perfect, but it was one of those rare occasions where the actual experience surpassed even the beauty captured in the photos. The cottage was stunning, cozy, and far exceeded our expectations. It truly felt like a hidden gem in Ontario, offering one of the best cottage experiences we’ve ever had. Really nice little place. lots to do. ping pong, pool and a hot tub. I definitely took advantage of everything. I wish it was the summer, because it's such a nice spot. The back yard is awesome. Thank you so much for sharing this little gem.

Kathryn and Lora were exceptional hosts! They went above and beyond.T heir cottage was absolutely pristine. It had everything we needed and was easily one of the most well-equipped cottages I've been to. Especially the little touches like cozy slippers, to hot-tub towels, to spare toothpaste. The cottage felt designed for hosting. It had built-in speakers in the living room, bathroom, and backyard patio, to a built-in projector with Prime and Netflix. The hosts even recorded little instructional YouTube videos on how to operate the projector and sound systems. From start to end, they were communicative, proactive, and responsive. I would highly recommend this cottage, and hope to come back again!

Barry has a nice place with a peaceful and spacious dog park. We had a great time with our dogs—they loved playing in the dog park and enjoyed hiking on the nearby trail. Barry always responds quickly and has simple check-out rules.

I can’t say enough positive things about our stay here. It was truly an escape that we got to experience. Great hosts, great place, great atmosphere! The only knock I think I have is that the photos do not do justice!! This place was homey and beautiful, not to say the photos aren’t that but they don’t do it justice! We will surely be back if we’re in Bancroft again!!

I had an amazing stay at Ke’s property and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable getaway. The place was spotlessly clean and tidy, and I immediately felt at home. The firepit was a wonderful touch, providing a cozy atmosphere for the evenings. As a parent, I was especially pleased that my 1-year-old baby was also very comfortable here. The space was safe and welcoming for our little one, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The scenery around the property is absolutely stunning, adding a peaceful and natural beauty that made our experience even more memorable. Lastly, I can’t say enough about the Shannon’s kindness, quick responses, and hospitality. They went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and made us feel truly welcome. I am so grateful for their attentiveness and care throughout our stay. Thank you for an unforgettable experience! I will definitely be returning in the future.

The cottage and location surpassed our expectations. Although the pics and details were very clear, they don't capture the Beauty & Tranquility of the cottage nestled in the crook of the Creek. Elsie's cottage is homey and very welcoming. Elsie has extremely and thoughtfully well prepared for guests. We truly needed nothing but food & clothing. We brought our young dog, so certainly enjoyed walking the grounds and area. We plan to return regularly. Lyncreek Cottage is a Hidden Gem.

Very responsive host with wonderful accommodations. If you’re looking for a cosy place, with lots of character, and clean then look no further. I’m coming back winter or summer. Lots to do in the area.

South Bay Cottage is truly a perfect and lovely lake getaway. Drive off the main road and into your own private cove outfitted with everything you need for a wonderful stay. Once inside, the view of Lake Stoney can be seen through the large windows from anywhere in the main room. The sunsets and starry skies were so peaceful - and even though locals told us it was unusual - we actual had an amazing view of the Northern Lights! We loved that this cottage included all the linens we needed and lots of areas to get cozy and read a book - including the extra-special gazebo. While the kitchen area is small - it is well equipped with everything we needed. Close to great hikes (Petroglyph Provincial Park, High Falls at Eels Creek, Warsaw Caves, and many others.) Also great to explore the area's great golf courses, Wanderlight Alpaca walks (a must do), Peterborough Pete's hockey, Peterborough theatre, and amazing restaurants in Lakefield (Loon, Cassia, and more). Melissa was a wonderful host!

Tracey was an amazing host. She checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed and when we asked if there was a way to clear off some of the lake for skating during our stay she helped us hire one of her neighbours with a tractor! Everything was perfect. Thank you for making our Family Day Weekend so incredible!

There were a total of 5 families (9 adults and 2 kids ages 2.5 years and 1 year). We enjoyed the side by side cottages and that allowed for some separation of families with and without kids. Cottages were quite clean and modern with good amenities. It was a very quiet neighborhood. There were watercrafts available for an additional (very reasonable) fee and we really enjoyed being on the water. We had easy access to the water. There were fire pits and hot tub, which we did not use. You’ll have to take the garbage out to the dump on your way out and there are pre-paid garbage tags. The process was easy and straightforward. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend!

Was very comfortable to stay at Thomas's cottage. We stayed with 4 adults and 4 kids in the winter. The sauna was especially nice. The kitchen was well stocked. Everything worked well and communication was great.

Tammy was the sweetest, most helpful hist to my parents. I booked this place for their 1 year anniversary weekend and they were in love. She left them a cute note and got them a bottle of wine to celebrate. They loved the space so much and felt right at home and didn't want to leave. Tammy thank you SO much for your hospitality and taking such good care of my parents. They will absolutely be back!!

Chantyle's cottage was a great find for our family. While it was basic and nothing fancy but that is just what our family loves. We basically only need a spot to sleep and cook, other then that we are outside enjoying the nature we are surrounded by, and this spot was perfect The beach was perfect for swimming, crystal clear, and shallow so the kids could walk out for quite some distance. On top of the beautiful area and comfortable rustic cabin we were greeted by a very friendly, accommodating, and very helpful campground manager Phil and his wife Tanya. Helped us with things we needed right away and gave us suggestions on places to check out that our kids ended up loving....overall amazing experience thanks for having our family stay it was a great location and great place. friendly seasonal campers as well. our family will definitely be back ?

A dream rustic cottage space! This location is wonderful, thoughtfully set up and run. With many sweet and homey details throughout the space and hosts (Darrnel and Mike), are genuinely welcoming and thoughtful. This gem is very family friendly with an all around feel good atmosphere. Our large family enjoyed the humble lakeside access and nearby waterfall.
