Vacation rentals with beach access in National City

Mary and Tony were amazing and attentive hosts and you can’t beat the location! Surrounded by water and beautiful beaches in every direction. We were there over New Years Eve and on top of a little welcome basket, they provided us with New Years hats and noise makers for the festivities. Very thoughtful. We were traveling with our 11 month old and I was very grateful that the they had a pack n play and baby tub (they only have a shower at the Airbnb, so baby tub was a necessity!). The stairs up to the Airbnb are steep, but they do have a baby gate. I didn’t really trust the gate, so kept my little one away from that area altogether (I would maybe recommend a gate that bolts into the wall for better security). We had everything we needed there and felt very much at home. We will definitely stay there when we come back. Highly recommend! Thank you, Mary and Tony!!! :)

Loved our stay here. Short walk to the beach and to shopping. Neighbors were very helpful with recommendations. Place was cozy. Fans in each bedroom!! Enjoyed our stay!!

KIM WAS AWESOME & so were the hosts! I stayed with my kids and husband. The walk to the beach was very fast 1 min at most, I could hear the waves crashing at night from the air bnb. it was quiet and relaxing when it was time to sleep. everything was very clean and I felt like I was at home! I'll never go to a hotel again. the bikes were fun to ride on the board walk, definitely got a workout in! there is a washer and dryer you can use to wash all your sandy beach clothes before heading home. the beds were very comfortable, the hair and body wash smelled so amazing and left me hair feeling so soft that I decided not to use mine. lol I'll be coming back this summer for sure. thank you!

The apartment was cozy, just what we were looking for. We spent time here together cooking and walking on the beach. The bed was comfortable, water was hot, and everything worked really well. We walked to restaurants many times and coffee was steps from the front door. Parking was tight, as advertised, but easy enough for us. The apartment was nice and bright, it made for a truly wonderful stay for us!

I thought the photos in the add undersold the place. It was more charming and fresh that I had imagined. The art was bright and uplifting. Loved being so close to the boardwalk. Street noise was part of the environment when on the porch, but we slept just fine.

I was familiar with the area before I stayed & was glad to find a place in this location. I've stayed in this and the adjacent unit several times. It's an easy walk to restaurants & stores. The unit itself has what you need for a great stay, it's clean and comfortable. The property manager, maintenance & cleaning crews are fantastic when I've needed to interact. In fact, I had an issue with my rental car & they were patient & helpful while I dealt with roadside assistance when I should have already been off the property. Lovely people, all of them. At the north end of Mission Beach near Pacific Beach, it can be lively some times of the year but I've never had issues with too much noise, even in warmer months. Parking is easy & fits our 4-runner which is a great benefit at the beach. Blackout shades on the bedroom windows block outside light, the beds are comfy. As with other ground floor units, you can hear people above you when they are there but nothing out of the ordinary.

Great place in a great location. Very clean! Richard is very attentive! Close to everything! Supermarkets, restaurants, shops, beach, bars, etc. Will stay here again for sure 🙂

Excellent spot for a couple/friends/small family to explore the beautiful OB. Easy walk to everything and anything you could want. Dan & Becky were super responsive and friendly and had a fantastic recommendation for the SD zoo. 10/10 would stay again!

The location is amazing. You can walk to almost anything, and we loved the private garden in the back with beautiful plantings. It’s like an extra room.

Perfect Stay for a Beach Getaway! We couldn’t have asked for a better spot to stay in Ocean Beach! From the moment we arrived, everything felt just right. The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had that perfect laid-back beach vibe. It had everything we needed – a cozy bed, well-stocked kitchen, and a front porch where we could sip coffee and watch the sunset. The location was unbeatable – just a short walk to the beach, great restaurants, and local shops. We loved how quiet and peaceful it was at night, making it the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. The host was super responsive and made sure we had everything we needed, which made our stay even better. It’s clear they put a lot of thought into making guests feel at home. My girlfriend and I already miss it and are counting down the days until we can come back. Highly recommend for couples looking for a perfect beach escape!

This place reminded me what San Diego is all about. The location is perfect - a quick bike ride to sunset cliffs, the ocean visible from the front porch, and a 5 minute walk from the main strip of Ocean Beach. Absolutely loved everything from the bikes to the lemon tree to the comfiest bed and blankets ever. The home is equipped well with bathroom and kitchen electronics as well. Outside of the home, Joshua is extremely kind and let us check in early since our previous arrangements did not work out. I can’t gush about this place enough.

Enjoyed our stay in the future we would like to bring our service animals because it is close to doggie beach, not sure if that option is available because there was a very strict policy about pets. Typically with Airbnb services animals are allowed but we did not bring our dogs to this location. Other than that the place was great we loved riding our bikes. Very clean.

Just an amazing getaway! Perfectly located steps to the ocean, Mission Bay, and a great variety of shop and restaurants. Place was very comfortable, and clean, with everything a family needs. Host did a tremendous job of communicating. We’ll definitely plan a return getaway!

We had a wonderful stay with our two young kids. The bunk room was very fun for them! The location cannot be beat. We walked out to the beach in 30 seconds every morning! We had rented a Jeep Cherokee and it just fit in the parking spot. I can’t see how more than 1 car could fit in the spot. The house is also a little tricky to find until you know where to turn. The street name is not listed on the side of the road where you turn. Tip: turn right at the pink house! We also visited in February and it got quite chilly at night. All the bedrooms were equipped with space heaters and the property manager was very responsive when I inquired about them. Depending on when you travel, be proactive and get those running at night time. The washer and dryer in the kitchen was a lifesaver! And the kitchen was stocked with anything you could ever need. We had so much fun and cannot wait to come back again!

This place is exactly as described. It is well equipped and has everything you need for a nice relaxing stay. The beds are very comfortable. We loved the location and the apartment had plenty of room for us. It is close to the beach and downtown Ocean Beach. Plus it is only two blocks from the bus line. Jim and Sha-Marie were very quick to answer any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again.

Maria was always available when I needed to speak to speak to her. She is a warm and professional person. The place was just beautiful. We had everything we needed and more. Parking was easy. The ocean view was magical.The place was quiet and restful. We are coming back in May for my birthday. I can’t wait to return. It is the ideal spot to vacation. I would recommend anyone to schedule a vacation with Maria.

Had a wonderful stay in this beautiful condo - the views are unparalleled and watching the sunset here was absolutely gorgeous. Sue and Makela were so quick to respond to any questions and their detailed instructions made the condo easy to find and navigate. There are so many bedrooms to accommodate space for a large group and the beds are comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

The condo has spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean, the PB pier, dolphins (binocular provided), and the best boardwalk in San Diego. The boardwalk has a plethora of restaurants, coffee shops, charming beach houses, and gift shops and it stretches for miles along the ocean. The underground parking was fine for our RAV4 and there is plenty of street parking nearby. It was surprisingly quiet at night with respectful neighbors. The jacuzzi was decent with hot water, strong jets, and fits four comfortably. The bed was very comfortable and the firmness can be adjusted. We loved our stay there with the waves soothing us, surfers, sunsets, dolphins, and the best walks by the ocean.

We had an awesome girl's weekend at glenna's place! The location is fantastic, right on the bay and a 4 minute walk to the ocean. Happy hour at Moe's was a 5 minute walk with a market in between for essentials. Our first day we had a small problem and Glenna responded immediately and made sure we were happy with the solution, which we were!! All the essentials were provided and the extras like bikes, beach chairs and towels were much appreciated. We all had the best time and can't wait to come back!

Amazing place! Excellent location right on the beach and boardwalk. Very good communication with the host. We are also Airbnb hosts and were very impressed!

Our stay was wonderful. You already know from the pictures that the view is amazing, but in person it’s even better. The location was excellent - within walking distance of grocery stores, clothes shops, restaurants, bars, ice cream, coffee shops, etc. The apartment was bigger than it appeared in the pictures. It was very clean and stocked with plenty of pillows, towels, and toilet paper. We were greeted with a delightful plate of fresh fruit. Great place in an excellent location.

I believe this is our 3rd stay at this amazing condo! Absolutely beautiful and the view is amazing. Super clean and has everything, shampoo, soap and well stocked kitchen. Everything is as described and the view is worth it! See you next time

We had an amazing stay at this Airbnb! The place was spotless and incredibly well-maintained, making it feel like a home away from home. The location was perfect—just a short walk to the beach, so we could easily enjoy the sun and surf whenever we wanted. Stephanie was fantastic—super communicative and always available to help with any questions or recommendations. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a clean, convenient, and welcoming place near the beach!
