Sarah’s place is amazing. The river is at your doorstep in such peaceful surroundings. Kayaks and SUPs made available kept us all busy for days. View from the back deck is magic as well. The house itself is well stocked and maintained, very practical for our family of 4, definitely felt like a home. Sarah is very friendly and responsive when needed, highly recommended!

This was our fourth stay at Misty River Lodge and won’t be our last. My family, including our little Jack Russell Terrier, loves Helen and Craig’s place. I especially love seeing how the gardens have evolved. We enjoy visiting the beaches up and down the coast — Scotts Head is a favourite — and we love to find new places to eat. Coffs Harbour is only a 45 minute drive north and South West Rocks is just 30 minutes south, so it’s a really central location and close to the highway but so quiet and peaceful. The bird song is relaxing and if you’re an early riser, you might even see the local swamp wallaby down near the creek. We were treated to fresh quail eggs, deliciously sweet tomatoes and tasty vegetables from the garden. As Helen said when we arrived… “Welcome home!” … because it does feel like a home away from home.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful farmhouse! The property is absolutely stunning, set in a great location with peaceful surroundings. The home was impeccably clean, comfortable, and equipped with top-quality appliances. The generous-sized rooms and lovely bed linen made our stay even more enjoyable. We loved the friendly visits from the resident frog, possum, and magpies—it added such a charming touch! We’ve already decided to book in again for next year. Highly recommended!
