Vacation rentals in Mount Barker

We spent four weeks here, just perfect! The view is spectacular, we really didn’t feel the need to go anywhere. The apartment is spacious and well set up, the photographs don’t do it justice. The walk around the Lake is a must, we did it 3 times! Very convenient to Arrowtown, and away from the busyness of Queenstown. Thank you Margo for sharing this beautiful spot with us.

Lovely cosy house with plenty of space for a family of 4. Very clean & kitchen well equipped. Lounge & bedrooms very comfortable. Easy to find & convenient 4 square down the road.

Awesome walking location to all Arrowtown main st . Spa was well received after golf and biking activities . Outdoor lounge is great under cover for summer rains and comfy. Everything you need here . We loved it .

Photos don’t do the view justice. Jeremy was a great host. This is a cabin type experience. We stayed in the winter and used the cottage as a home base for skiing and other activities which was great. Quick ride over to Arrowtown and Queenstown but far away enough to feel private and peaceful. Some important points regarding previous reviews I read about the place being “cold”…the ground floor is all slate stone…as Jeremy recommended, just bring some sandals or slippers to wear around. There is a large heat pump, a lovely pot belly stove, and space heaters and all the beds have blanket heaters which we actually didn’t use because they were too hot…so it’s easy to stay warm and the view and coziness are well worth it, but if you’re expecting a thermostat in a hotel room that you set and leave…this wouldn’t be the place for you. We loved our stay and the host was very responsive.

Laura’s place is as described. Well located on the edge of arrowtown (~1km walk from centre, 500m from Chinese village) it is easy to get to the river walks and restaurants. Apartment is clean and well equipped. Furniture and beds are all comfortable. Laura was very responsive.

The view was amazing!! Highly recommend to go before dark and see the sunset. No real stove though, so better get dinner elsewhere. Overall was a good stay and my wife loved writing on the porch.

Second time at this beautiful property. It accommodated three families well and lots of different living spacious was perfect for three generations. Walking down to the lake and into Wanaka for a spot of shopping was easy. Highly recommended!
