We had a wonderful stay at the Stables. Rosie was very responsive and accommodating. This made our check-in and stay stress free. Me, wife and teenage children felt right at home and slept comfortably. The house is well furnished and nicely decorated. The kitchen is spacious with a large refrigerator, dishwasher, pots, pans, etc, that made it very easy to prepare some of our meals. There is a small grocery store a short distance from the Stables stocked with basic foods such as milk, bread, meat, fruits and vegetables. The location is beautiful and peaceful. We spent one clear evening gazing at the stars which are clearly visible given that lack of light pollution in the area. You feel remote, but it is only a short drive to the coast and to all of the amenities in Drogheda and other towns. Internet service is excellent which made it easy to stay connected and to stream videos. I highly recommend the Stables.

We had a wonderful stay at Karla’s charming cottage in Duleek. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the warmth, character, and thoughtful touches throughout the home. The cottage was beautifully restored—blending historic charm with modern comfort—and it was spotless, cozy, and perfectly equipped for our family’s stay. Karla was a fantastic host: responsive, welcoming, and full of helpful local recommendations. The location was ideal for exploring the Boyne Valley and nearby sites like Newgrange, and Trim, while still being just an hour from Dublin. The village of Duleek itself was peaceful and friendly, with great spots for a morning coffee or evening stroll. We especially appreciated the attention to detail throughout the house—it’s clear Karla has poured so much care into creating a special place for guests. Highly recommend this stay to anyone looking for a unique and relaxing experience in the Irish countryside!
