My friends and I came to hike Scafell Pike and this was the ideal location with it being around a 30 minute drive away. The cottage is peaceful and cosy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others ☺️

Review: Review: We had a fantastic stay at this homely and well-equipped house in the Lake District. Hazel and Brian had thought of everything to make our visit comfortable, from a welcome gift of wine, beers, and even some chocolate for my son, to thoughtful touches like takeaway menus and a guidebook full of local attractions and tips. The kitchen was well-stocked, and having essentials like washing powder for the machine was a real bonus. We also had the pleasure of bumping into Brian one morning. He gave us great tips for a walk around Ennerdale Lake, which we absolutely loved. It truly felt like a home away from home, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommend!

Perfect little bolthole, just what I needed!

We have just returned home from 4 nights at this accommodation. The accommodation was spotless, and had everything we might need, the beds were so comfortable, we all slept really well (even during the storm) My children 8 and 6 loved going out to see the farm animals, especially feeding the donkeys and collecting eggs from the chickens. The well stocked Spar is a 5 minute drive away and the beach being slightly longer. The kids loved the playground at the beach and went almost every day of our trip. We will certainly be visiting again. Thanks Carole and Steve for being the perfect hosts.
