House vacation rentals in Monmouthshire

Had a wonderful stay for our friend’s hen do with 12 ladies! The place is beautiful and full of character. It has everything you need for a comfortable and convenient stay. The hosts were super friendly and responsive throughout the booking process and on arrival. We were left a lovely welcome hamper which was such a nice touch and made to feel very welcome. The best part is the beautiful countryside scenery surrounded by fields. We can’t say much about the location. (Other than the wonderful scenery and how quiet and relaxing it feels) because we never left the house all weekend, but you don’t need to with the pool, hot tub and cinema room with table tennis and games. It makes for the perfect place for a fun and relaxing get away. We would definitely return either as a group of friends or with families for the kids to enjoy. It would make a great stay at any time of year, especially at Christmas time or in the summer to enjoy the outside more. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

We had a fabulous stay at Lois’ for a weekend friends reunion. Lois and Paul were welcoming and took the time to talk us through local information. The house had more sleeping areas than we’d realised, which was great. We used the pool and were delighted to find Lois had left us an array of treats in the kitchen. Thank you for having us, I am sure we’ll be back to this fab location.

We had a brilliant weekend at the garden house! The facilities including pool feel very luxurious, and the hosts include little touches like a welcome box and late check out on Sundays. We were staying with 5-7year olds and they loved the place too. Highly recommended!

Excellent property which we would highly recommend. Everything was first class, the house is beautiful, everything is laid out so well. The kitchen has all the appliances that you would need and all the crockery and cutlery required for all guests. All the bedroom are a good size and comfortable, the bathrooms are also well equipped. The swimming pool is a good size as is the garden. Phoebe met us at the property and showed us around when we arrived. The village is also in a short walking distance. Can’t recommend this property highly enough.

Picked the Lodge for a Bank Holiday break with friends and it didn’t disappoint. We were warmly welcomed by Mel who gave us some great local recommendations. House was clean and had all the required amenities. Having the pool for the morning was great fun. Would recommend Small breeds centre if you have young children and Hay on Wye for a wander round

Lovely hidden family staycation! Lovely location with loads of parking Easy check-in 13 mins drive to Breacon! Brilliant hot tub with amazing views (Only comment would be Chlorine content was a tad high for anyone with sensitive skin) Kitchen and bathroom were clean and cosy! Kitchen is fully equipped with amenities (Sauce pots and trays were available but no frying pans which is no big deal) Lovely welsh biscuits on arrival! Definitely recommend for a lovely retreat!

Robs communication was great. Really helpful info given to us prior to arrival meaning we did not need to ask any questions while staying at the property. The property itself is lovely, lots of little touches throughout and everyone was really impressed. The swimming pool is a lovely addition to the property which we used one of the mornings and the hottub was very much utilised. Would absolutely recommend staying here and we will definitely be back! The house was nice and comfy. We felt right at home. Parking is hit or miss, but usually could find a place near enough to walk to the house.

We spent 2 weeks at Woodbank House and had the best time. The highlights are the kitchen and the grounds. The skies at night are amazing. Bess is a terrific host, perfect communication and so helpful. Thank you so much, I hope we get a chance to stay again! X

We stayed for two nights in this lovely accommodation, whilst visiting a friend in Crickhowell. It had everything we needed, and is in a great location, right in the centre of Crickhowell. It’s the ideal base for exploring the beautiful local area. We would definitely stay again.

What a lovely place to stay! The house is beautiful, very clean, and spotless. Fully equipped kitchen, comfy beds and great wifi. Rob was a great host, very helpful and quick to respond. Would love to stay here again in the future.

A Stunning barn with a hug lounge, dinner kitchen & utility, toilet and utility on the ground floor. Exceptionally well furnished and very clean. Open wooden staircase to the landing which opens up to two amazing bedrooms with sofa’s and plenty of room. Original Feature beams, lovely rugs and finishings. Modern bathroom. Highly recommended. Oh, & private driveway to heated stoned courtyard. Highly recommended, photos do not do this barn justice.

Property as described and clean and tidy. Walking distance to The Blinkin Owl pub which served good food. Nice and peaceful location bedrooms were spacious and a nice touch providing milk and tea,coffee.

10 of us stayed here this weekend for my birthday and we were really happy with the place and area. it was stunning!! even better than photos. communication could’ve been slightly better with charlotte as usually we receive an automatic message once booked but after messaging charlotte for more information a week before i was informed we will receive all details the morning of arrival date. i’d love to stay here again though, it’s beautiful 🩷

My family and I had truly a wonderful stay at Simon’s Airbnb! The photos don’t fully capture the charm of this tucked-away gem in the Abergavenny countryside. If you’re seeking a peaceful retreat in nature, this is the perfect spot. The barn is beautifully laid out and incredibly spacious, making it ideal for large families like ours. The decor was incredibly creative, featuring art and items from all around the world, which gave the place a unique and personal touch. There was also a big collection of books and movies to keep us entertained. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and hope to return in the future. Also, Simon was extremely helpful and quick to respond to any questions or assistance we needed, making our stay even more enjoyable. Definitely recommend! 🌟

Our sincerest thanks to Rob for everything. The kindest, loveliest and most attentive host you could ever wish for. Immediate response to anything and genuinely goes above and beyond to provide a true home away from home. It has been our privilege to be his guests in his delightful tranquil house. Spotlessly maintained and all needs provided with thought. From provisions and toiletries, right down to entertainment with netflix and wifi. Nothing is left to chance and I cannot speak highly enough of both Rob and his property. If the opportunity presents to rent this property then I would strongly recommend. Private garden and a truly exceptional kitchen. Fabulous views and delightful walks all around and through the woods. What a location!! This house was set in the most beautiful surroundings. Was well equipped and so comfortable. Perfectly suited to our two families getting together and enjoying walks right from the door! We will be back

An amazing property in a beautiful location. There was 14 of us all together for a hen weekend and Nicholas was very accommodating to what we had planned. There is plenty of space for everyone to fit in easily and all the appropriate facilities. The gardens attached to the property are also wonderful too. Everyone who stayed for the weekend had the best time and constantly complimented the house, especially the bride to be.

Enjoyed a short stay in Gilwern while visiting family. Nadine was really helpful and responsive, her place is spacious and well equipped. Easy access to Brecon Beacons and Abergavenny make it great to explore from.

We stayed for a birthday weekend, right from the start, Matthew was friendly and responsive to any questions. The house itself is an old family home, large rooms, tastefully decorated and a well stocked kitchen, excellent for cooking. The beds are extremely comfortable, with lovely bed linen. The house was spotlessly clean and well heated. The walk into Monmouth was perfect, flat and easy, with severe extremely good independent restaurants and takeaways within a 10-15 minute walk. We absolutely loved this house and would happily return. Thank you Matthew 😀

What a beautiful place! So private and stunning views and garden. Inside is well equipped with everything you need - we had a very relaxing stay with our dog and would love to visit again. We went on plenty of walks with lunches out. Also highly recommend the Pig and Apple for any burger lovers - we had takeaway from there which was fantastic!

Absolutely fantastic stay here. Beautiful little place in a remote location which was very much needed. Amanda was fantastic as we needed to change the original dates and it wasn’t a bother at all. Gave us lots of information to check in etc and was always quick to respond. The place was so quiet and just what we needed to truly relax. Will definitely be back again.
