It’s hard to capture just how special this place is. Katie was an excellent host, checking on us shortly after arrival to ensure everything was sorted, and leaving a welcome basket of local treats. The house is a very short drive from Tavistock for all your essentials, while feeling completely removed from the bustle. Pew Tor is an easy walk from the front door, while other Dartmoor points of interest are within a short 20ish minute drive. We could’ve stayed another week or five, hope to return someday.

A peaceful, clean, and spacious place to stay. It is perfect for exploring Dartmoor and it’s a lovely space which feels private enough for your own trip but Sam is responsive and helpful. We were very pleased with the facilities, cleanliness, and location. Would definitely recommend.

This was our second stay at The Chapel, and it fully lived up to the expectations from our first visit. Beautiful little place but with everything you could possibly need for a weekend break. We fully made the most of the gorgeous roll top bath during our stay, and loved the freshly baked loaf of bread which was awaiting us on our arrival. The Chapel is the perfect location for walks across Dartmoor too! We will no doubt be back again for another stay in the future.

My partner and I stayed for the weekend and had a fantastic time. The location was perfect — with great access to the moors, local pubs, and central shops. The place itself was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and clearly cared for with great attention to detail. Everything was well-organized, and we especially loved the outdoor area — perfect for enjoying dinner and a drink. The hosts were wonderful: very responsive and helpful, especially when we thought we’d lost our keys and needed a spare. We’d definitely recommend this place and would love to visit again.
