Farm in the city & sweeping bayview

JesseRating, 5 stars3 days ago
I had a magic few days at Lori and Mike's. I drive a VW passat and I found the drive up the mountain to be non-challenging and even very fun by the end. The hosts are cool and easy to get along with. A+ doggo. Hot tub was great. Pool was fun. I usually stay in SF when I'm in the Bay Area. This was much more lovely and relaxing, with SF close enough that going in for dinner or a show felt like it wasn't a big deal. 100% would recommend this place. I brought my cat and had my lady friend with me for a night. Everyone loved it.

707 BARREL LOUNGE Cottage

RachelRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Kathy and Jim's place was exactly as pictured. My husband and I enjoyed the Hawaiian theme, and we really loved spending time in the hot tub on chilly nights. There were so many nice touches - a welcome bottle of wine, coffee, cheese, breakfast items - and the cottage is well-stocked with anything you might need. You're an easy Uber ride away from wineries and the main square. Though the square is walkable if you feel up for approx a mile long walk. We wouldn't hesitate to book again!!

Modern and Luxe: Studio455 (+bikes)

KatieRating, 5 stars3 days ago
This place was very comfortable. As other reviewers have mentioned, the bed is great, the linens are soft and high quality. It was quiet at night for sleeping and the location was great (close enough to easily bike to the main square in Sonoma), but also some nice restaurants closer. We had coffee and a simple breakfast there every day and they've got all the things you need for that although washing dishes in the bathroom sink wasn't totally ideal. There's nothing to be done about this, it's just the limitation of the space but it's something to keep in mind if you think you'll eat meals there. But yeah overall this was a really nice play to stay!

Berry Patch Cottage - Point Reyes

SarahRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We had a nice stay at the Berry Patch cottage. It’s bigger than what shows in photos – you have to walk from the bedroom through the kitchen and living room to the bathroom. We spent most of our time in the bedroom cozied up next to the propane fireplace. This cottage does not have a fully enclosed yard like the smaller cottage next door. Our dogs still enjoyed exploring the yard on leash, and there are plenty of options for walks in the neighborhood and nearby. The modest digs was all that we needed to have a lovely weekend. Jeri is a sweet host and her raspberry jam is delicious on a slice of local bread!

Beautiful Guesthouse in the Heart of Mill Valley

KirstenRating, 5 stars6 days ago
It is such a treat getting to stay with Jill! The cottage is the perfect mix of cozy, private, immersed in nature and close to everything! The back patio, right on Sycamore Creek, is so tranquil and inviting. The kitchen is perfectly appointed as is the bath. The bed is comfy and the linens are top quality. Jill has such great taste in decor - everything goes together, feels completely welcoming yet timeless and cultured. The cottage is walkable to everything in Mill Valley with easy access to freeways for longer trips. Jill is the best host I've ever had the pleasure to stay with!

Sustainable Studio in Sunny San Rafael

LauraRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This is an excellent choice for a visit to Marin. The interior makes such great use of space - plenty of outlets, beautiful Italian tiles, nice art, and extremely comfortable bed. There's also a cute outdoor patio that would be perfect for coffee, though we never took advantage. We walked to Trader Joe's and downtown is also an easy walk. It's quiet, peaceful, and the wifi worked great. Andrea also provides lots of extras, like oil, coffee, salt/pepper, etc. Everything you need to make a meal, which we did. Most couples travel with one car; our only hitch was needing two since we live in separate locations. Nevertheless, we figured out a way to use the space available and also find additional street parking with no constraints. Highly recommended!

Private garden retreat

JamalRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I enjoyed my stay at Mary Lee and David’s place. It was perfectly located for my purposes, affording easy access to both the East Bay and Marin. The place is well appointed and clean, the entry through the backyard pretty, and the neighborhood charming. They were great hosts - available, but not hovering, their communication clear and timely.

Sunny, Peaceful Private Sanctuary

JudsonRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
It’s a very private abode even though you share a gated entrance with the owner. Barry couldn’t have been friendlier and had a great spirt about him. We nerded out on landscaping, tiny homes, and rivers. He sold me on giving the American River some of my time this year. I’d absolutely stay here again. The only real issue was the effort to climb down a ladder half awake. I did it in the dark so I wouldn’t lose my cat eyes and wake up too fast. There’s plenty of outside lounging areas and the views are pretty. I had a decent view of the night sky to the east and above. The town may be busy but you’re perched hillside under some great live oaks. The neighborhood was full of quiet families and quirky houses that are truly Marin County in nature. Open space trails are just uphill and the town is just down. It’s very convenient to everything.

Mill Valley Garden View Guest House, Free Parking

MarianaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This is an absolute hidden gem. It quickly became apparent why Carolyn is a super host. Not only is the property absolute perfection but Carolyn made it a point to go out of her way to welcome us, accommodate us, and go above and beyond customer service wise. This property radiates harmonious zen like energy from the community library, to its amenities and all its extra additives, to the garden. It’s graced with every bit of detail for guests to enjoy. I’ve loved traveling and have mostly been a hotel snob, until now. In short, Carolyn has carefully crafted a beautiful get away and decided to share it with the world. We will certainly be back when in town.

Lightworks Treehouse Retreat

JenniferRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
My partner and I absolutely loved Sarah's place. It was super peaceful and relaxing being surrounded by the beautiful trees and hearing the sound of birds and the nearby creek. As soon as you walk in, you can tell Sarah puts alot of love and care to ensure anyone staying there feels comfortable. We really appreciated that and look forward to booking her place again when we need a relaxing retreat to rest and reset.

"Serene Cherry Terrace w/sauna close to sf, Napa

EmilyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Both the upstairs and downstairs were available when booking. We chose downstairs for the bigger patio and sauna. So glad we did! Enjoyed both very much. Bed was extra cozy. Very peaceful area which we appreciated so much. Tsetsen was very responsive and dropped more coffee by when we ran out. If we ever return to Novato we’ll check to see if this home is available first.

Sunny, central, quiet flat + yard

MiriamRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Very clean and pleasant spot near downtown, with a private patio. The unit is above garages (so you don't hear anyone downstairs). Comfy bed. Well-equipped kitchen. It's tucked back from the street, but from the bedroom you can hear a little bit of the E. Washington traffic (less than a block away). We'd stay here again.

Studio at Surfers Outlook

JenRating, 5 stars3 months ago
This perfectly-appointed cabin in the sky was the ideal escape “between the years.” It rained every day of our stay but that did not stop us from walking down to the beach, grabbing a bite at Parkside Cafe, and exploring every hiking trail in walking distance. (Highly recommend the Dipsea trail to Steep Ravine with a side bar to the Stinson Tree.) Carey really thought of everything: not only was the bed comfy and the place spotlessly clean, the kitchen was well-equipped (cream for the coffee!) as was the bathroom (thick towels!) We especially appreciated the clear instructions for operating windows and other things. It was our best Airbnb experience to date and we can’t wait to come back.

Mission Casita, Walking Distance to DT San Rafael

AnnieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We stayed at Matthew's place for 2 weeks and had a great stay. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Marin! The location is incredibly convenient—right off the highway in central Marin—making it easy to explore the area. The house felt spacious for our family of 4 and everyone had enough room to work & relax. The kitchen was fully stocked and both the bedrooms & bathrooms were clean and comfortable. It's a well-maintained home so we had no complaints. Matthew and Tim were always available if we had questions and we highly recommend their house to anyone!
