The cottage seemed even better than the photos - plenty of space but still super cosy - a comfy sofa and roaring fire, what more could you want? Thank you for the gorgeous weekend!

We so enjoyed our stay in this gorgeous historic home. The owner has done such a lovely job with the decor and overall feel of the space, and I especially enjoyed the artwork and small touches that fit in beautifully with the character of the building. Wonderful village to explore, and we wouldn't hesitate to come back. Loved the added information in the welcome book that gave so much great info about the history of the building. It made the stay feel even more special!

What a superb find. Exactly as advertised, small, cosy, warm, clean, comfortable and beautifully equipped. The tiny barn is set in the yard of a working farm which by default, you become part of. Parking is easy. There is machinery around from early doors, cowsheds being cleaned, cattle fed, lots going on but you'd rarely know it because the noise levels were, well, very low. Not that We minded one jot. This converted barn is just off a yard in a working farm, it smells like a working farm, you get muck on your boots, take good boots, it's colder on the side of the hill when you go for a walk, so what! Wear warm clothes. Makes for great walks with the dog. There are sheep, go careful and don't bother them. Sandra is an awesome host, interesting, well educated and knows her area well. She was welcoming without being intrusive. There are buzzards, lots of buzzards, soaring on thermals even in February. There are also rabbits, very fast, naturally. Very handy flat in the middle of Bishops Castle. It was clean and tidy with everything I needed for my stay. I really liked the full kitchen and living room. I would recommend and stay again.
