Vacation rentals with a kayak in Leeds and the Thousand Islands

My nephew was visiting with family from Atlanta. Wanted to have some fun family time. Had wonderful time there. The host was very friendly and was there to welcome. Gave very useful information about the place and things to do. Will have beautiful and cherished memories about the stay for years to come!

We loved staying at the river house. Beautiful view of the river and comfy accommodations. The hosts were incredibly thoughtful- even bringing over flowers for Thanksgiving. The place was nicely decorated for the season. When it snowed, they brought over some sleds for the kids. I would love to come back in the summer! Only drawbacks were that the heating was a bit uneven in the main room with all of the windows, but it warmed up nicely with a fire in the fireplace- which is a great touch. The water smells very sulphur-y, but that’s common in wells near the river. Being from the area originally it didn’t bother me too much. Thank you Cassie and Shana! We had a great time.

Christina's cottage was a great place to relax and unwind with my friends. Seriously, we didn't want to leave. The house is clean, uncluttered, and perfectly decorated. The fully stocked kitchen and comfortable living room made our stay extra enjoyable. Christina has thought of everything that a traveler may need... snacks, games, toiletries, beach towels.. you name it. The back deck gave us a front row seat for the sunset, so nice! She was very responsive to anything we needed. Great house, great host. Thank you.

Beautiful home just on the outskirts of town. Convenient access to local area attractions and needs. Would love to stay again in the summer if we return to the area. We had tons of snow on the ground in the area upon arrival, and about 6" more the first night. Gave great instructions so someone could come plow. Excellent host, very accommodating especially considering we needed to make a change to the reservation. Very quick with responses to questions.

We had a wonderful stay over Thanksgiving weekend at this beautiful, cozy, and private home. The rustic farmhouse feel made it the perfect place to relax. We especially loved having access to the many kayaks and canoes, which added to the overall experience. Julie was incredibly quick to respond to our messages and very accommodating when we ran into some minor issues. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and we would definitely come back again!

Very nice house, spacious for large groups, very cozy. Very good communication with the host, answers online to all the concerns that one may have. It has a nice view of the river, a house with many amenities, I would definitely return. Thank you very much!

This home is stunning, and well equipped, in a beautiful location. It was outstanding to be right on the lake with kayaks and canoes. Nights were spent grilling, having bonfires, and looking out over the lake (or up at the stars) in the hot tub. Everything was fantastic - the only downfall is accessibility, as you need to take a ferry to the island. At the end of the day though, the ferry was just an extra piece of planning and research, but was unproblematic. Great house - thank you Maria!

This cottage is absolutely gorgeous! There is so much space, with my group of 6 we didn't even get to spend time everywhere because of how much they have. There's two separate patio sets on the deck, sun room, two separate living rooms, gorgeous spacious kitchen all open concept, all right in front of a body of water with kayaks, sail boats, etc. The dock is a beautiful spot to also spend time and gaze at the stars at night. I can't recommend this spot enough.

Wonderful fall weekend at Leah’s place with a small group of women. The home is absolutely gorgeous and you can tell a lot of thought and care went into the details - we commented all weekend on everything from the artwork to the light fixtures to the rugs to the well-appointed kitchen! The property is stunning, especially in the fall - beautiful view of a quiet lake, large deck, dock, and outdoor firepit area. Appreciated that firewood was supplied and we loved the kayaks! We enjoyed the cozy living room. Lots of space for 5 of us. Close to Bon Echo for hiking and directions were clear so space was easy to find. Highly recommend for any small group getaways!

Lovely space - just like the pictures. A little tricky to find the first time, but its location is part of what makes it so peaceful. The cottage was perfect for our needs and the hot tub was delightful. David answered all our inquiries promptly and even let us check in early when I asked. We had some issues with the internet service, but that was clearly weather-related. And although he was unable to resolve the issue before we checked out, David was very responsive and reached out to the internet company right away and made every effort to get it fixed.

We had such a wonderful stay! The space was warm, inviting, and all it was advertised to be. It was exactly what we needed—a comfortable and peaceful spot to relax. The host was incredibly kind and accommodating, allowing us to check in a bit early. The personal touches really made the place feel like a home away from home. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a charming, relaxing stay with the most beautiful wood burning fireplace.

Second time coming staying at Sam’s. Just as magical and peaceful as before. Can’t wait to come again next year.

Thank you Ryan!! This listing is the perfect escape from the city and has EVERYTHING you need. The host was very responsive, walked us through setting up a fire. Even in the craziest of snowstorms it was cozy and warm. Gorgeous decor. Comfortable couch. Couldn't say enough nice words!! Some airbnbs you can tell the host has never actually stayed there because they are missing dishes etc or it's not set up nicely. This place was PERFECT and you can tell the host puts a lot of care into the space and has stayed there themselves. Will have to be back!!!!!!!

Great location for a winter get away. Two small towns 15 minutes away where you can get anything you need. Felt like home. Beautiful forest setting All amenities that any house has and more, including a lovely glass front wood stove. I do enjoy the feel of wood heat, makes life cozier. The cottage has Roku and.a 35 inch TV which is good, but personally i would like a bigger TV as i found it difficult for me to see without my glasses. The internet i tested was about 7-8 mps, adequate for streaming 1 person. 4 thumbs up for this place. If the two of us had 5 thumbs it would be 5 thumbs up. Good on you Linda and thank you so much. Laura and Dale's Cottage was such a cozy, sunny, beautiful place nestled in a wooded lot right on the water front. We spent a week there in October and loved the wood fireplace and warmth that the cottage brought. The kitchen was charming with lots of well placed windows. Everything you needed for cooking was available. The board games were nostalgic and fun to play. The bed and bedding was so comfy and perfect for reading in the mornings. The view from the bedroom window was otherworldly especially the full moon coming across the water and the Autumn leaves were spectacularly gorgeous! We cant say enough about this place. We highly recommend it and we hope to return again.

We were looking for a quiet fall cabin getaway and this provided us with exactly what we were looking for. The cabin was located on a fairly private section in the trees. There was a walking trail near by and access to the water and a dock. By traveling in the off season the park was pretty quiet. 😊 The cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the cozy inside comforts of home as well as the great deck and wonderful forest and river view. Mike, the park manager, was very friendly and helpful. He greeted us upon our arrival and showed us to our cabin making sure we had everything we needed for our stay. There was a bit of a grumpy resident camper who came over to complain as soon as we arrived because our dogs were playing and burning off some steam after being in the car for a couple hours. The dogs were both on long lines, but he claimed the dogs were loud & he was going to complain to the park manager about us. If he did we didn’t hear about it.

We had a fantastic stay for a long weekend (birthday) getaway. Nice private location with a view. Enjoyed the hot-tub while watching the first snowfall of the season, wood stove and the well stocked kitchen. Host even left some treats for my pup, which she really enjoyed and was very responsive/helpful. Pros: private location, right on the water, kayak/canoe/hot tub for use, well stocked kitchen, responsive host! Cons: (only 1!) mice! My dog could not stop hunting the cabin throughout our stay lol (she is dedicated, like a cat!) , and we did find some droppings on the dishes in the cupboards, before use. Overall - we had a fantastic time. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay. We hope to be back soon!

Great cabin with a beautiful lake view. Well stocked, quiet, peaceful, and amazing swimming in clean clear water. 100% recommend and definitely would visit again.

Great place lots of room for big families to enjoy

This is our second time back to Magret’s place because we love it so much! She’s a fantastic host, and very well communicated throughout our trip! We were hit by the snowstorm on the first day of our booking. Thank goodness Magret contacted us in time to give us heads up of the situation. Even though we have to shorten our vacay time but we really appreciated the communication! We love our winter experience at Magret’s place, we have a couple of nites setting up winter fire! And the nites we don’t feel like it, we just cozy up inside and used her indoor fireplace. Everything is so thoughtful & well supplied! We love Magret’s place so much we are planning to come back again in the future! Thank you again for sharing such a lovely space!
