“Best one yet,” to quote my husband. We LOVED calling this adorable and private accommodation of Rose’s our home away from home for the 12 days we spent in Chimney Rock. Everything that we needed and more was provided. Rose is delightful and made us feel so welcomed. The village of Chimney Rock, nestled in the Hickory Nut Gorge, is a treasure with restaurants and plenty of little shops that are walkable from this location. And the star of the show, Chimney Rock State Park, is directly behind Rose’s house, just a 3-mile jaunt up the mountain. Rose’s garden alone is a gem to behold, located right outside your door. We loved the privacy of the location, as well as the peace and quiet that was afforded to us after busy days hiking and exploring this magnificent region. We were thrilled to see a few other residents of this area from time to time, members of the black bear population. So if you are searching for an authentic experience when coming to Chimney Rock, this is the place!

This is a perfect spot when visiting the area. There is much to do in the surrounding areas, but having access to the Rumbling Bald resort is a great perk. Great place, great location, and great host! I know I will be back again!

Such a private and beautiful place to stay. The view from the bedroom window was relaxing. I loved to be able to have both the bedroom and living room window wide open during the day and not worry about anyone walking by! The place was clean and the couch was super comfortable! We loved sitting by the fireplace after a day of touring the area. Will definitely stay again!

I really enjoyed my stay at Alicia’s condo. Great location and loved how stocked the kitchen was. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip back to lake lure!
