Incredible spot! Sete Cidades is a calm dream - the home is beautiful and even better than the photos. Wonderful decor and energy. Would highly recommend! Walking distance to trails around the lake and the morning walk to the bakery for fresh bread was divine! Would definitely stay here again :) Paula was flexible with the check in and check out and we felt right at home!

I highly recommend staying in Sete Cidades during your stay or part of your stay in Azores. It is close to many hiking trails, in a spectacular setting. also close to Ferraira where you can bathe in thermal water in the sea. If you are staying here feel free to buy bread at Padaría Tavares (a few minutes walking and for only 40 cents). A local experience in a very quiet environment. We liked the house and satisfied what was expected. It is functional and with the possibility of parking. The host was friendly and attentive to any messages we sent. Muito Obrigado. até breve

Stunning house in a fantastic location. Modern, upscale interior. Set a couple of minutes walk out of town so you get peace and seclusion and an amazing view but you can also easily walk into town for a coffee. Hiking trails from your doorstep. One of the nicest AirBnbs we've stayed at. The only slight negative is that the wall of windows at the front of the house makes occasional cracking noises with changes in temperature and weather which are a bit startling until you get used to them and then you tune them out.

These beautifully designed and decorated cottages near the shore of Lagoa Azul, but set back in a magical garden environment are like something out of a magazine. In the U.S., accommodations like this would easily go for $300 or more a night. The furnishings were gorgeous and comfortable, and the mid-century feel was delightful. A welcome basket chock full of local goodies, including homemade bread, was an extra special touch. They were particularly appreciated because good dining options are limited (although Casa de Cha, the teahouse is great and even has some tasty vegetarian options). While the mountain bikes that are available for guest use are a bit beat up, they're serviceable for riding around the lakes (highly recommend!). I'd love to see a binder full of maps, recommended hikes, and other personal favorites here. While Andre supplied info and was easily reached through the free texting app, it's nice to have a break from looking at links on one's phone when traveling.
