We felt very welcome in this amazing place from the first second. Perfect sunsets, private beach, clear water perfect for snorkeling - Costa, Violanta and Ilias were super friendly and provided a cosy quiet little paradise and helped us with everything we needed. The recommended hikes were amazing. We are very happy that we spent our long holiday here and could explore the island while being able to calm down and relax with this scenery.

Our stay was truly magical. The host's warm hospitality made us feel instantly at home. We were treated to wine, sweets, fresh eggs from the property's hens and an array of juicy, locally-grown fruits - a delightful way to start our days. The location couldn't have been more perfect. Nestled in a picturesque spot, we had easy access to nearby attractions while enjoying the tranquility of our surroundings. The absolute highlight was the breathtaking sunset view from our private terrace. Watching the sky transform into a canvas of vibrant oranges, pinks, and purples each evening was an unforgettable experience. Our gracious host went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, offering local tips and always being available if we needed anything. Their genuine friendliness added a special touch to our stay. From the idyllic setting to the thoughtful amenities, this place exceeded all our expectations.

Mrs. Maria and the man are a couple very pleasant and hospitable, they made us feel at home. They gave us useful information about the island. Their place was beautiful and tidy as well as with a wonderful view of the Aegean Sea. We also opened the grill with fresh fish that we caught on the beach of Achla, where it is worth going. Don't forget to get local products and stay for several days to enjoy all the beauties of the island.

We had a very peaceful two weeks here at the end of September. We did not hire a car so that meant a very (close to 40% gradient out of the flat to the road) steep uphill at first and also a 2km uphill walk (less steep) back to the flat from the town/beach. But that was our choice. It would have been less quiet if any of the neighbours were around but it was lovely when we were there. Lots of very cute cats in the area but I would recommend NOT feeding them as they can gather and become a pest. We would have appreciated a book of instructions/guidance with info re the hot water, loo roll, bin emptying and possibly walking routes etc. That would mean the host didn't need to answer so many questions. Also, on arrival, because there is no address for the house, Katerina had to call the taxi on our behalf but it was all easily managed. We really liked Gavrio and it is much less touristy than Batsi or Andros. I would stay again but hire a car next time.
