Beach house vacation rentals in Kihei

Nice cozy spot near the beach. It was quiet, easily accessible and the hosts (both virtual and in-person) were friendly. Would stay here again!

Gary was proactive with communications and his place was perfect for our needs! The amenities were great! the beach is a quick walk to the other end of the property and perfect for viewing the sunset!

Aloha Aku has been everything we wanted, and more. The photos and descriptions don't do it justice. We were originally booked for five days, but extended our trip twice, for a total of 10 days because everything here is just so perfect!

This was a fantastic place to spend our week in Maui. The condo was amazing and spacious with all the amenities you would need to enjoy your time. The location is perfect, relatively close to the airport and well situated next to route 30 so you could go everywhere on the island quite easily. The view from the condo is second to none, from the patio you can easily see the Haleakalā mountain and from the front door is a great sight of the western Maui mountains. And on top of everything this condo was much more peaceful than the huge resort areas. There were not too many people around, and even when we did go to the beach we were able to find a spot easily. I’d recommend this condo for anyone who wants to spend a week or a few days in Maui - the price is quite good compared to the normal resorts, you get a great view and anything you don’t pick up on your way from the airport you can grab on a 20 minute drive to Kihei. This place was perfect for us.

The condo was perfect! Very quiet property and the water view was wonderful. Unfortunately, we just missed whale season but still enjoyed watching the kayakers going by. The kitchen had every item we needed and the washer/dryer was so appreciated. The elevator in the building is very efficient and parking was no problem at all. The location is excellent…not in a busy area and very easy to get to everything on the island. We will be back!

Serene and peaceful! Just about everything needed to make all the typical activities convenient, including all of the equipment, beach towels and chairs, etc. A very quiet and private environment. Can’t wait to come back!

This is really well situated. A hundred feet from the back door and you are on the beach. Wake to the sounds of the birds from the adjacent wildlife refuge. It's intimate, with only four rental units in the building. No big hotels in the area, so the beach is uncrowded, and has basking sea turtles! Beautiful sunsets. They could have had 5 units, but kindly equipped the middle unit as a common room where departing guests leave food, drinks, and supplies like sunscreen, bug spray, etc. Free snorkeling and beach supplies, bikes with lights/locks/helmets, boogie and paddleboards, an ocean kayak, TONS of movies, books, and CDs. Our unit was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the kitchen was equipped with everything except a dishwasher and a full-size oven (there is big high quality toaster oven). Note the toilet/shower area is open at the top. Gary and his team communicated clearly for entry and exit but otherwise left us alone unless we had a question. Would definitely stay again.

Absolutely EXCEPTIONAL stay. I mean it when I say photos do not do this place an ounce of justice. Upon arrival, I was greeted with spectacular views, impeccable decor, and a spotlessly clean and comfortable spot for a large group in what is easily the best location in Maui. Watching the sunset from the lanai was breathtaking and perhaps my favorite part of the whole trip. I’ve stayed at a lot of places on Maui over the years, and this is one place I can say for certain I will be coming back to. Oh - and the guidebook was a great touch for local tips!

Five stars with a big caveat about the AC- see below. The many pluses: Very good value for highly walkable neighborhood, especially for families: well-locked pool, awesome playground at the end of the block, and lots of kids toys for pool and beach. Very comfortable layout with 4th bedroom garage conversion that feels like its own suite. Robyn lives in the front house and was so helpful with local recommendations and even lent some additional beach gear. For those who are more heat sensitive like us: Listing is vague about AC settings: lowest allowed temp in the main house is 73 and in the 4th bedroom, window AC goes to 72 but only can be turned on 7p-7a. These are reasonable ways to balance electricity use, but hopefully hosts will be more transparent in the listing (and include what cost would be for lower settings, which we didn’t end up asking about because we squeaked by.) It would have been nice to have option for a cooler temp at night ideally.

Gary's condo is on a private beach with private pool and hot tub. The common area has all the amenities you could ask for. Very impressed!

Stayed just over 3 weeks in this spectacular unit. Well appointed, incredible views, so clean! It was fully stocked with anything and everything you could possibly need. Full size toiletries in bathrooms, tons of clean linens, soap, detergent, cleaning supplies, and toilet paper to cover our entire stay. We felt right at home. Andre was responsive and immediately assisted when we had an issue with the AC unit in the second bedroom upon arrival. There is ongoing construction in the complex, but it didn't affect our building or interrupt our stay at all. Parking is open season during this construction period, which turned out great because we could choose any open spot - super convenient and tons of availability. Kamaole Sands is our fav complex in Kihei and we are already planning our return visit. Will definitely stay in this unit over and over again.

This property was beautiful and in a great location within the resort and close to the road and beach. When comparing it to other units in the resort it was more updated and very clean. We loved our quick stay!

Great and comfortable stay. Loved the sunset views. Very walkable beach right out front, and it was great having all the accessories like beach chairs and other gear available to take to nearby snorkeling spots and coves. Gary and Sarah and the Aloha Aku team were communicative and quick to reply, and they'll really have pit a lot of energy into making the property inviting and relaxing. Note - the bathroom is within the bedroom area and not fully enclosed, so there's not much privacy in that regard. Not an issue, just something to be aware of if booking as a group.

The coconut cottage is an ideal base for Maui adventures! Large, spacious property to easily accommodate up to 6-8 people - with a full functioning kitchen, 2.5 baths, large backyard and a lovely front-facing deck. We had the most luxurious and comfy stay, and lots of fun family memories in the main living area. The property is located in Kihei, with quick access to the beach, shopping and local markets. Marc is the most gracious host, and was incredibly accommodating, easily accessible and super kind. 10/10 recommend!!!! Would love to come back at some stage :)

My husband and I stayed in this unit for 2 weeks over the Christmas period with our two children. we found the unit to be very well equipped with everything we could have needed for our stay. the kitchen in particular was great with newer cabinets and marble-look countertop - it was all very easy to keep clean through our stay. The washer and dryer inside the unit was a plus and super convenient - it meant that we could pack less for our trip since we could do laundry throughout our stay. The suite overlooked the ocean and the pickleball courts, so there was always some people-watching potential. As a relatively small complex, it was nice to recognize faces at the pool or in the parking lot throughout our stay - it does have the feel of a small community. The location of the complex itself was wonderful. it had the convenience of being very close to all the restaurants of Kihei without being directly in the action. This meant less traffic but could pick up takeout within 5 minutes.

My sisters and I had a wonderful stay. We grew up on the island and came back to visit for a family event. It was wonderful to stay somewhere that was so convenient. It totally met our needs for location and amenities. Although it is a one bedroom, having a second bathroom was a big plus in choosing a place to stay. The beach is right there and we enjoyed watching the sunsets. The grounds are beautiful. Plenty of restaurants to choose from just a short drive away. We hope to stay again.

Thank you for this amazing stay Leanne! We had such a great time and enjoyed the close beach at sunset, went snorkeling during the day and even saw turtles just 5min away (by car). All rooms have air condition which we enjoyed during the night. It’s a pretty quiet neighborhood so this will be a really relaxing holiday. Perfect area to explore the island. If Germany wouldn’t be as far away, we would love to come back!

We had a lovely 2 weeks at Luana Kai. Our condo was clean and had everything we needed for our time there. There was plenty to do right in Kihei and we had a great time.

We had a great stay at our “Hawaii” house. We made good use of the covered lanai where we sat and visited while the kids ran around in the yard looking for the rooster and the cat. The daily visit of the geckos was also a highlight. The bedrooms were spacious especially the master which had enough room for two blowup mattresses for the kids. Location was perfect making it easy to get to the Kamaole beaches. We also loved that we could walk to Kalama park. It was also a short drive to the outdoor pool. We swam in the morning and built sand castles in the afternoon. My 5 year old grandson met a playmate at the pool and they arranged a play date at Kamaole 3 in the afternoon. The sand toys were well used. With Foodland so close by, we were able to shop every second day and eat as much poke, pineapples, and papayas as we wanted. We also walked to the food trucks and the South Maui gardens. Deb was very responsive to inquiries and we appreciated that she gave us a late checkout.
