Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Iwate

One of the best Bnb for snowboarding activity in Japan. The location is very close to the slope. Driving only 5 minutes and there are small restaurants in drivable range. The house is really nice, exactly like in the photos. Naoki is very kind and comes to greet us personally with la local gift. He also share us recommended places and restaurant. He is very responsive and quickly reply when we have any questions. We all love this place and plane to come to stay here again next time. 5 stars probably shouldn’t enough for this place.

Tatsuya-san and Reiko-san were wonderful hosts. If they offer you anything, definitely accept, you will not be disappointed. On the arrival day we received the delicious local cuisine dinner they offered with a curated menu. It was an included service we could accept or decline. We were so glad that we accepted. We stayed 6 nights. Tatsuya was extremely responsive and helpful with recommendations and logistics. The hosts live next-door and are very friendly. The cabin is about 15min drive from the town of Semboku. After arriving at Tazawa Station via Shinkansen we picked up our rental car, stopped at the Gran Mart supermarket in Semboku for groceries and headed to the cabin. The cabin has a normal size (for Japan, smaller than U.S.) refrigerator and a well equipped kitchen with a 2 burner stove-top. There is a premium pod-style coffee maker with coffee provided or Tatsuya can provide a grinder and french press. There were books for our kids to read and Wifi provided.

It’s a large house with a big kitchen to work with. It is tidy and clean.

The facility itself was amazing It was more open than I expected.

This place has absolutely everything you could possibly need, even a sewing kit and scissors. Nice and warm downstairs, great location for privacy. Perfect size for a solo traveler or a couple.

A rather authentic stay in the traditional house with Japanese futon beds and fully equipped kitchen :) What really stood out was Kiku-san's impeccable hospitality - we had the indoor slippers laid out to welcome us back every single time! To top things off, I had left something behind and Kiku-san went the extra mile to communicate with the receiving hotel so that the receptionist could verify with me even when I had almost forgotten about it myself when I was checking in!
