Farmstay vacation rentals in Iceland

I had a comfortable stay in a lovingly decorated wooden small house. The place was tidy and convenient. I think I will remember taking a walk around the beautiful and serene surroundings for a long time. It was nice to see the horses up close. The next time I come to Iceland, it was so nice that I only want to stay here.

Wishlist for this large accommodation, cozy, both traditional and modern decoration, a top-notch crib, a great place to shine in snaefelsness halfway between Stykkishólmur and Grundafjordur. Our son loved feeding the beautiful sheep with Gudlaug. We recommend to families (suitable equipment, toys, everything is there!).

accommodation in a quiet area,feeling of being alone in the world beautiful superb environment seen from the accommodation ,everything you need even the heated garment dryer especially after a day of hiking in the rain was welcome .

Our stay here was very comfortable. This was the best equipped of all the kitchens and apartment in general of all the bnb’s we stayed at. Warm and cosy with the underfloor heating. Very easy to find just on the road 85. Highly recommend. Cute cheeky puppies too 🥰

This home looks tiny on the outside but was perfect on the inside for our group of 4. Louise was very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay. Our horse-loving young girls would add that our stay was way too short because they really did not want to leave!

Nice and very large private property/horse farm, ideally located between the road and the coast, with small beach and cliffs. Beautiful surroundings ! Easy access to the house, great temperature inside when we arrived, very well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, excellent communication with Veronika. During our (too short) stay of 2 nights, we even saw the Northern lights !

Wonderful farmhouse with plenty of bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen and great views. We loved the horse and sheep! Easy to find with instructions. Bathrooms are a little small but manageable. Very gracious host with clear communications. I would recommend this welcoming home.

This cozy cottage was the perfect way to end our trip! Surrounded by a beautiful landscape and horses all around we enjoyed it all! The kitchen was well equipped and we were able to have a nice meal at home. Hot water very hot but definitely only fit for 2 people to have back to back showers. Sigrún sent us local recommendations and we took a short 12 minute drive to town to enjoy some local spots! All in all this place was comfy, cozy and clean! Thank you for a such a beautiful stay!

Nice place with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. There were plenty of bedrooms and the bathroom was large. The most comfortable mattresses we had on our 9 nights in Iceland. Great place to see the Aurora as it is rural, loved the sounds of the nearby stream in the background as we took in the aurora as she danced. Kitchen was well equipped. This would be great for a large group- plenty of space!

Absolutely fantastic location and host! The house was so comfy and private yet still close to the conveniences of the town of Selfoss. Loved seeing the horses outside the windows everyday. Great shower. Comfortable bed. The host was outstanding and accommodating! Don’t miss out!!

This is a treasure of an airbnb. The pictures are great but it's even more beautiful in real life. We stayed two nights in winter when it had -13 degrees. The hot tub, pool and sauna were extremely nice! We were lucky and saw the northern lights two nights in a row. We had an amazing stay!

The house was beautiful and the views are to die for. Would absolutely stay here again! They were very responsive to all questions we had and even showed our son the horses to pet!

The place is beautiful and was extremely comfortable for our family of six. Sigurborg was always quick to respond and very helpful. You need a car to stay here but it is well worth it to be in this lovely setting.

This place is awesome! A view to the horses from the airbnb was nice! Peaceful and quiet. My wife and sister and law booked the Lava Horses tour and they loved it! The tour guide (I believe her name was Laura) was very friendly and was awesome as a tour guide.

Fjola's apartment has a beautiful private location near Borgarnes. The beach and cliffs invite you to take a walk, our children felt very comfortable, also because of the animals and the homely surroundings. Fjola is a very friendly and warm host!

We just finished a 3 night stay at Maria’s place and it was absolutely lovely. We enjoyed the hot tub and the house felt just like home. Beautifully decorated with little touches that made the house feel warm. Maria was extremely responsive and allowed us to check in early which worked out perfect for our travel plans. I do recommend stopping at a larger store before getting close to the house as the little town has only a convenience store. We also really enjoyed dinner at Lindin in the town. The house was a great gateway to everything we wanted to get too.
