Super cute and cozy space. Close to the redwoods which is what we came for. Be prepared with food as there aren’t any restaurants nearby, as they described!

This lovely Victorian has obviously had a lot of love lavished on it. The furnishings were beautiful and comfortable. The beds had good linens, and the bathrooms had enough towels. The kitchen was easy to cook in and had plenty of dishes and supplies. The yards were well maintained and the back porch was a welcome surprise. Great house.

This is an amazing place to stay in the redwoods, with walking trails right across the street & 3 huge redwoods right in the yard. Place was clean and had everything we needed! Fenced in backyard was a huge bonus for our pups.

Amber was very nice, responsive, accommodating to our needs. The house is beautiful and there were lots of thoughtful touches. The beds were very comfortable for us and we all had great sleep. The area is peaceful. Definitely recommend!

Our stay was lovely. We came out to Fortuna, to help my aunt with her house and stayed at this Airbnb for 10 days. The first day we checked in we didn’t have heat. Evelyn was responsive even at 6:30 am when I told her it was not working! The kitchen had everything we needed including some spices/salt and pepper! The house does get warm during the day, so I would recommend a fan. We work from home and spent the first half of the day there. The mornings are gorgeous with the huge windows. You can sometimes watch the marine layer evaporate before your eyes! There are deer on the hill across the street enjoying their breakfast while you sip your coffee. We really appreciated the hospitality and cozy home. We will be staying here again next time we come out. Thank you!

We loved our stay, it's very comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was in a quiet neighborhood and perfect for visiting the Redwood Parks and beautiful beaches. But without a doubt, the art work at Zacks place was amazing! We hope we get the opportunity to return someday, and highly recommend it!

Lawrence and Kym's place is a hidden gem! the place felt right at home and very cozy. they have a wood burning fireplace that we enjoyed. the kitchen was so clean and had everything we needed. the entire house was really clean and comfortable. the place is a 1hr 45 min drive from Redwood but you can just hang out at Humboldt too. the hosts were super responsive to my texts. they made staying there a breeze. 10/10 would recommend again. thank you to Lawrence and Kym!

We had a great time with our family. The photos don’t do justice to how beautiful this view is from the house. If we are ever in the area again we will default to staying here.

We had the best weekend ever at this place! The pool and river were incredible and the house was very comfortable. Tessa was so flexible with us when we needed to reschedule due to wildfire smoke. We will definitely be back again 😊.

My family and I loved the green cabin, even in the rain! We visited, played board games and watched movies provided. The layout of property is perfect. Lots of comfy beds, generous seating on couch and table. We are already planning our next stay!

This house is amazing! It accommodated my large family and made us feel right at home after a long day on the road. The kids loved the large yard, sports court, work out area, and walking down to the river. The house is spotless and the kitchen well stocked.

This was a great place to stay for a quick overnight during my & my twin daughters’ epic road trip. We were able to get some laundry done & relax before hitting the road again the next morning. Ian was friendly & communicative before & during our stay.

GREAT house - very retro and unique. Location is incredible; we had so much fun spending time at the river. Pool is awesome. Kitchen has everything. I think we will come back!

The house is comfy and cozy and was well stocked, even for our big family of 8 and kitty and our long stay. The beds were super comfy and the yard was great with pool, lots of pool toys, and plenty of seating. Beautiful views of the mountain and nature everywhere. Great house, great hosts, we had a wonderful stay! :)

Heather was very helpful in helping us plan our trip. Her space was fantastic and had everything we needed. We will definitely be visiting the area again and staying at Heather’s place in the future!

Really enjoyed our stay here! It’s a snug space but included everything we needed and was well-organized to make the most of the space available. Fenced walkway made it feel very private, which was nice. Great home base for visiting the redwoods, would stay here again!

One of the top three places we have stayed in our many years of renting via Airbnb! The location is spectacular, you really don't have to go anywhere. But if you do, you can walk to Black Sand Beach from the house. There are several other places of interesting in the small town of Shelter Cove, including tidal pools, seal and sea lion watching, small nature trails to hike, and several places to eat. On a final note, Mermaid View (the house) is very clean, beds are comfortable, kitchen has the basic necessities, showers are great, and the view is a 10 out of 10. Just go, you will not regret it! We definitely hope to be back in the near future.

A cozy and tidy place to stay. Turned out, the parking is on the street but Sadhana allowed me to park my motorcycle next to the main house behind a private gate which was very helpful. Overall, I loved staying there and would definitely visit again.

Perfect spot for meeting family in town! Lush, grassy backyard for the dogs to sniff and play. Great tools in the kitchen for making meals! High quality linens in the bedrooms and bathrooms. Shampoo and Conditioner smelled amazing! Overall, very private, quiet, comfortable and a perfect location.

Isabelle’s place was a very sweet home away from home. The apartment was my favorite aesthetic- simple, tidy full of natural light and gorgeous, healthy plants. It’s clear this home is loved and cared for. Isabel was very friendly and responsive. Highly recommended.

Ric's Place served as the perfect base of operations for a visit to Arcata. The house is perfectly located, well-appointed and easy to manage. It has everything you need for a week-long stay. One of the best benefits is it's proximity to Wildberries, a grocery co-op that makes getting home food items a breeze. The house is also very close to "downtown" without being so close that traffic or noise is a problem. We enjoyed morning walks around the neighborhood, as well as trips to main square for shopping, eating out and the weekend farmer's market. We have reason to be in Arcata again and do hope Ric's property is available when we go!

This was a great overnight experience. I was in a bind and Marlen came through for me, bless her heart! Her cottage is adorable and inviting. It’s quiet, super clean, and I felt completely safe and welcomed from the moment I arrived. Parking is close to the front door and outside lights were on for my late arrival. Communication was smooth and kind throughout. It’s clear Marlen takes pride in maintaining a high-quality and welcoming space for guests! I slept great, felt totally at ease, and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again, longer if time allows. Thank you, Marlen! Highly recommend!

My partner and I had a fantastic time at Sabrina's Studio. It was incredibly clean, cozy, and even more spacious than the pictures seemed! My 3 favorite aspects of the airbnb were: 1. The walkability of the neighborhood From the Airbnb, we walked to - A Swiss Hot tub & Sauna Cafe - Sushi & cocktails - Several Bookstores - Arcata Theatre - Sunday Farmers Market 2. The privacy & accommodations of the Airbnb - Because the Airbnb is right in downtown Arcata, we parked our car in the private parking spot Sabrina offers, and were able to walk to almost every location we had on our itinerary. Additionally, this is an amazing price for a private studio. 3. Communication Due to service outtages, we gave very little heads up for our estimated time of arrival. However, when we messaged Sabrina through the Airbnb platform, she responded promptly and we experienced no issues accessing the space. Sabrina was kind and professional! I would 1000% return, and I highly recommend Sabrina's Studio!
